Poor customer service the last time I went. Only one of the young folks working there seemed to be interested in helping customers. Nothing like when John or there others who worked there for a while. Those guys would leave the counters and show you the stuff you are looking for, but these new guys would not leave the counters unless they were called to help load something. My wife and myself eventually found what we needed. The cashier was no speechless when I brought up the lack of customer service. Those " helpful" hardware folks were not very helpful.

Good selection. Layout is a little strange and departments could be labeled a little better. Plenty of people around to help though. Good local store with some hard to find items!

The first man i asked for help wasn't helpful at all i asked his opinion on an item or what he'd recommend he just shrugged and said isle 6 the second person i asked for help didn't know exactly what i would need but he went above and beyond to help me that seems to be how it is every time i go there it's about 50/50 on how the help will be but when it's good service it's great they almost always have what i need and if by chance they don't they know exactly where i can find it and they're not afraid to send business somewhere else if it's better for the customer. I really really appreciate that

Arnie's is always a good place for whatever you're needing. If they don't have it and it is in there listings they can get it for you on their next truck.Family owned and really a top notch business.

Nice store with a handful of not so great employees. On the 2 occasions I've used this business i didnt feel like customer appreciation/satisfaction was on their list of priorities. The first time I had placed an order online with free delivery if you sign up for their club. Did so. Called a few days to make sure of a couple things and was told there was "no way" theyre going to deliver it for free. Little back and forth and the manager said they were going to. First time going in the store today and thought the store was really nice but I'm pretty sure the same guy I talked to on the phone was who rung me out. Same attitude.

Great old fashion hardware store. Always good customer service. And if they don't have it in stock they will order it for you. Prices are reasonable on most products. And they have a very nice paint department as well. Only reason not 5 stars is certain products you can purchase for less elsewhere

As usual. I never get asked if I can use any help. They will ignore me and later if man comes in jump to help. I kick myself to go.when I go to Wabash hardware store everyone is so helpful. I always spend $30 or more. To day was over $58. Sad.

Very knowledgeable. Really young fellow was working. He offered his assistance. I asked for cheesecloth. He directed me right to it. No weird looks or "what in the world is that". Very happy shopper.

Been here since I was a kid. Love this store, love the owners, and love the nostalgia and family oriented mom and pop stores that have survived the corporate takeovers. I hope this store stays open forever so my kids can use it too.

I went in there to get a key made , about two minutes before closing , I offered to leave if it was to late , but they said it wasn’t to late and was very helpful and nice, Honestly gave me the best customer expierence I’ve had out of any local business in Peru I like dealing with places with friendly people, I work at AT&T and I’ll make sure to tell my customers about the great expierence !!! ACE is always a good choice, often quicker and easier than the big box stores. That's particularly true in Peru, where the other options are 20+ minutes away. Very good selection and friendly service.

Have alot of things in stock and staff friendly. Only dislike is communication problems over the phone. Drove here after i was told that they have handicap parking signs in stock. Went there to find out they only hand handicap bathroom stall signs in stock.

They usually have what I need. I have had to improvise or wait until I went to Kokomo a few times though because they didn't have exactly what I needed. For example they have plenty of nuts, bolts, screws and such. But in quarter round they only have wood. This was fine for inside but I also needed some PVC or some sort of plastic quarter round for the outside. Also I wouldn't buy caulk there... I got some paintable window & door caulk. It was so old when I bought it that when I got home & tried to use it, it was as hard as a brick. It almost broke my caulk gun.
