Hi, the fifth star is more like a hanging Chad, but it was earned. My wife and I went there (way out of our way) to take advantage of a meat sale for the holidays. When we got there we shopped for other stuff as well and it's a good place to shop. The meat had gone off sale but the sign was still on the display so the .meat department guy sold it to us at the sale price. He could have fussed with us but the sign clearly posted the sale price. What I like about Needlers is the choice of where to shop. Another player in retail food is good for price checking. Good old competition.

I had looked everywhere for my babies formula and finally saw it in stock here at Pendleton Needlers 40 minutes away. I called them and they were so kind to put some back for me. When I went in I was surprised by how nice and clean the place was! It may be far but I’ll probably be back because you can tell they care!

I DONT KNOW WHAT THAT LADYS PROBLEM WAS EVERYTIME I GO IN TO GET A SALAD SHE WOULD ALWAYS MAKE RUDE JUDGEMENTS AND WOULD SAY O GREAT! THE OTHER GUY WOULD LAUGH AN ME AFTER TALKING TO THE lADY WHEN I CALLED TO ASK FOR THE MANAGER I TOLD HIM IM UNCOMFORTABLE GOING TO THE STORE I WONT BE GOING BACK THE MANAGER SAID GOOD! I WOUDNT RECREMEND ANYONG GOING TO THIS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE STORE

You would think with the inflated pricing, that the staff would at least pretend to care if you were there or not.Paying $1.49 for a .99 Arizona Ice Tea is annoying, but dealing with the complete indifference to my patronage is just hard to swallow. Guess I'll be here when I don't want to head to Anderson or Noblesville.

I appreciated a clean, convenient place to go when in need of something right away, however, I go only when it's a last resort. Their sales NEVER ring up, they make it a hassle and are argumentative. If it's marked- you honor it! Not here and the employee that always makes it a big deal has been there for years, so she should know! This last visit (and I mean last) it was so busy, only two check out lanes open, she opened a third and I was second in line, again the sale didn't ring and she held up this long line, calling management over and over only for them to tell her exactly what I did.

This is a nice, clean grocery store. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the prices are a little higher on several items, but the convenience is very nice. We shop here often.

I totally enjoy shopping here. In fact, I occasionally go out of my way to get groceries here. Prices are average to below-average. The store is always clean and tidy. Staff is friendly. Best--they often have hard-to-find items or brands at reasonable prices. I especially like their bulk spices.

Looked at the milk at needlers and everything expired either 913 or 914. I asked the clerk at the register and the bag boy and they just said OK. I asked to talk to the manager and he acted as if he didn’t care. After talking to three people they shouldn’t have even asked if I wanted them to get the milk. When you ask three people and they act like it’s just the way it is. It makes you wonder how many items are outdated. So beware of what you’re buying check to see if it’s outdated. I will drive to Anderson and shop. I only use Needlers when I need one or two items.It would be great to get another grocery in Pendleton. One that cares.

Yes. The prices can be a bit exorbitant, but I have never failed to find the obscure ingredient I'm looking for, or see people with a friendly smile and desire to help.

While paying for the convenience of having one of the only markets in town, aside from a questionable Dollar General, I wish they would simply put in self-checkouts. It seems that if anyone is spending over $100, which is very easy to do, they shouldn't have to bag their own groceries as well. If it's a staffing issue, self-checkout registers would also solve that issue as well.

The customer service is the best of all the places that I go. The best thing of small town stores. Some of the prices are a little on the high side but if you look at in their sales ads you can find some really good deals. Use your rewards card and check their ads. But the best thing about shopping there are the employees. The store is always clean, the produce is fresh, the meat is excellent quality, the shelves are always stocked, and anyone who works there are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend going there. And as a bonus they are open 24 hours. Yeah to night owl shoppers.

Phenomenal Service ! You can definitely list this as a Hometown Market! Everyone is personable and very friendly. Produce is a little bit higher in price as well as other items, but the convenience and the quality are well worth it. On occasion the chicken tenders have not been tender but this store has conveniently replaced it with fresh. If you don't speak up with your concerns about the store, they can never improve or correct your order!

This store is awful. Rude cashiers that can never seem to say thank you when you were actively being polite towards them. They never fill the handbaskets on the produce entrance side, so you always have to walk to the entrance near the registers because the clerks refuse to distribute them evenly. The floors are cracked, the roofs leak, the freezers don't work, they rarely restocked their fresh vegetables and have a limited selection (about half of its rotten anyway), and most insultingly of all you have to pay a premium to go here compared to Kroger. Basic household necessities and supermarket goods run anywhere from .50 cents to $3 more! I'm 100% serious they charge $4.99 for a pound of jalapenos for example. I wish I could petition a better retailer to come in its place and tear the whole thing down. It's painfully obvious it was a Marsh that was built about 20 years ago. There's no self checkout either and very few registers and they never staff appropriately. I actively drive 12 miles out of my way to avoid this store and you should too.

Nice market. Well kept, clean, open layout. Produce section is excellent with good options for organic/local high quality fruit and veggies. Their meat section gets a bit of a yawn and I would look elsewhere for seafood. Everything else is pretty standard supermarket fare with average prices.. not particularly cheap but also usually enough specials to make your way to a respectable tab for what you're buying.

1st time shopping there today. Very nice store with an incredible offering of meats. But, the steaks i bought were on sale and they charged me full price...didn't notice until it hit me on the drive home. I'm sure that stuff happens, and they cheerfully refunded me my money.

Came to pendleton to buy my wife's favourite cake, white with whipped frosting, from Needlers. Didn't see a small one on display, so i made the mistake of asking at the bakery. Staff were more interested in moaning and winging and wining about how hard done by they think they are. I was told they didnt have what i wanted and i should go and look in the fridge myself.My wife will have to find a new favourite cake, Im not making the trip to Needlers again.

Overall I do like the grocery. The pharmacy is my issue. Pricing is better at Kroger store in Anderson. Better to the degree it is well worth the drive. Marsh pharmacy will not take my Rx Discount card and gives me all types of excuses. Speaking with my doctor I found that they too were very aware of this and have heard from many other patients of theirs....

I went to get steaks for the grill. They had a poor selection. Prepped them and let them sit in the fridge. Not impressed with the quality.

I have lived in Pendleton all my life and when the store was Marsh it was nice and so were the people who worked there. I was just in the store today, April 25 at @ 2pm and I was standing in line because there was only 1 cash register open. The woman in front of me had a very full cart. I had only 2 items. The man behind me also only had a few items. There was a Needlers employee who walked up, looked at the line and then said to the man behind me that she could check him out at the next register. He offered to let me go in front of him because I only had 2 items. I thanked him and walked over to set my items on the belt and she just looked at me before scanning my items. I said that he offered to let me go first. She did not say hi, how are you. She said nothing to me but as I was walking away she said to the man behind me, "Hi, how are you today Sir? The woman was wearing a grey colored sweater that had the Needlers logo on it. She wore no name tag. She had blonde hair just past her shoulders and was maybe about 5' 6" tall between 30 and 40 years and extremely rude. At first I didn't think she was going to ring up my items. I don't know her and had never seen her before. I wondered if she was being rude to me because I was wearing a mask. Discrimination and abusive behavior, especially by people who work around the public is never acceptable. And I agree with the others who have posted saying the store is dirty, the vegetables are often rotten and the prices are high. It is usually more convenient to go to Needlers but I think in the future I will go somewhere else. I don't have to accept being treated with contempt. And it doesn't matter what, if any, the response is from the store, if they really cared it wouldn't be in the condition it's in or be run by such rude people. I understand the owners have a new store in Carmel and that is likely where their attention is for the moment but what happened today was needlessly upsetting and unnecessary. They need to get control of their employees or they could possibly be sued for discrimination. Very unhappy.

Needlers is awesome! So clean and the employees are always kind. We have never had a problem with the quality of the food. I left off 1 star because most items are overpriced. We only use Needlers for items we forget at our usual grocery runs because of how expensive Needlers is.
