Nice little diner!Upon first entering we were a little confused as to what we should do. Were we supposed to sit at a table and wait for someone to bring us a menu? Or should we approach the counter in the back and order before sitting down? Instructions were rather unclear. I ended up approaching the counter to retrieve a menu from the stack waiting there and taking it back to our table. I assume normally the waitress would bring it to you. They would definitely benefit from a "Please be seated. Someone will be right with you." sign. After a few minutes, a waitress came out to greet us and we ordered our food. She was friendly and we didn't have to wait very long for our food to be brought to us.The food itself was really good, I thought. We got a chicken tenders basket with onion rings and a side salad and a fish tail sandwich basket with French fries and a side salad. The salad was nice and fresh. The fish sandwich was good as well, although the bun seemed a little old. The chicken tenders were tasty and the French fries and onion rings hit the spot. The prices were quite reasonable, about $9 per meal. The atmosphere was rather lacking. It was decorated in a rather outdated, old-fashioned way. Not old-fashioned like Cracker Barrel, more like your slightly eccentric great aunt who you only saw once a year as a kid. There was a TV in the corner quietly playing some sort of obnoxious celebrity gossip channel. I cringed every time my eyes wandered over to it.But overall it was a pleasant experience. Good food, friendly staff, small town vibes. Nice little place that would really benefit from a few updates.

We were on our way home from a event in South East Indiana, looking for breakfast on our way. My dad spotted this place while we were driving so we decided to stop. So glad we did! Portions were huge, cost was low, and the atmosphere was amazing! We decided that next year this will be our place to go! Thank you for a great breakfast and awesome hospitality!

These ladies were great. I hate being 'that guy' that comes in at the last minute til close. We were going to leave and go somewhere else to be respectful and these ladies were very welcoming and polite. They served us very well and with delicious food might I add. I meant to take a picture, but it was nearly gone before I remembered to do so. The food was delicious and not overpriced. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone.

We often grab breakfast here when visiting my in-laws. The food is good and the prices are low. Portions are huge! I usually get an omelette, which they stuff with whatever you order. It’s definitely a small town hole-in-the-wall but it’s worth the trip to enjoy a good, cheap breakfast.

Stopped by while on a cold fall motorcycle ride last week. The food is decent and staff friendly. It's definitely a place the locals congregate. I overheard local events being discussed from politics to gossip to farming. Go if you want a taste of small town life. They were nice to me.

Just stopped for a bite on our way from Milton Kentucky to New Point.. The food and service was amazing and the atmosphere is refreshing. There was a table full of people that live in the town and eat there daily, they spoke to us and made the experience that much more enjoyable and memorable. We will definitely be back and will tell others about this small town restaurant.

Such a great atmosphere. If you want a cute little hidey hole restaurant this is it!! The menu is great tons to choose from. great portions and not to pricey!! Only thing id complain about is them only being open till 1pm. If they were open around dinner I'd prob order out all the time!

I grew up in Osgood but never went to the whistle stop Cafe until a couple of weeks ago. The first thing I noticed was that it was a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. The food we had was all great and the service was good as well. They are very friendly and have a variety of options for breakfast and lunch.

Great little place is Osgood! We came for breakfast and the portions were a great size. I had the western omelet while my husband had the 2x2's with gravy and biscuits. Everything was delicious!

Pretty good food. A bit on the pricey side (usually over $20 for two adults and an 8-year-old) but everybody leaves full.Usually just breakfast and lunch, only open for dinner a couple nights a week. Serving basic "home cooking" fare: eggs, biscuits & gravy, burgers, fries...all cooked to order.

Best biscuits and gravy this side of Tri-State. Very homey atmosphere. Every morning I walk in there's basically the same folks gathering for gossiping coffee and watching The Morning News. Definitely a place where everybody knows your name sort of deal. They rotate the specials on the menu and relatable hours. Just make sure you bring cash if spending under $10 yes.

It's a Mom&Pop Cafe. I love the small town feel. The chicken breast/bacon sandwich was great! And a good sweet coleslaw. We'll be back!
