Shopping in store , we have had no issues. Online ordering has been a nightmare. Everytime we have placed an order the package looks like it was halfway sealed and is half opened and has holes all over it. I know some can happen during shipping. However we order from Costco as well and the pkg is never like this. Then there are missing orders they want you to wait forever for. Even when ups says to contact sender . They tell me to wait 3 more days. Finally git a refund

The store is clean and the checkout process is smooth, but it's a hassle trying to leave the store after you make your purchase. We just stood in a line of about 20 people waiting to leave because they only had one person checking receipts. The worker was having problems scanning items in someone's cart and about 8 minutes later they finally brought someone over to help. It's like everyone is viewed as a thief when trying to leave the store. You're held hostage until they verify every item in the cart matches what is on the receipt. I would never steal anything and although I know it does happen, I'd rather shop somewhere that doesn't treat their customers that way.

Decent location, convenient for gas, but that's about it. They claim to have "no hassle" returns, but I have been hassled both times I've made a return on their Wellsley Farms brand.Costco is 100x better. Thankfully the new location is open. We will continue our Costco membership and will not be renewing BJs.

Terrible place to work. Very toxic work environment. Management doesn’t care when you bring complaints about other workers who purposely make your work load harder to try and get you fired, and management will tell you to just keep your head down and try to not give that person a “reason” to be angry with you and cause problems, instead of talking to or disciplining that employee. They aren’t clear about all of their work policies either, and will use it to their advantage to fire you as well, while they let other people get away with the same things or more with no disciplinary actions. Place has a high turn over rate for a reason.

We really love the location. It’s closer than Costco. We have really had good experiences there. They always have salespeople talking to you towards the front of the store. But lately, those people are walking all around the store. I don’t want to be bothered while I am shopping. If this continues, we will not be back. Luckily there’s another Costco getting ready to open nearby.

Good tires, bad service. Got a set of tires from BJ’s. Pre-paid for them 1/12 and was told it would be about 2-3 days to get tires in. They call me 1/15 to bring vehicle in because tires were in. Dropped off car and left. Get a call 10-15 minutes later stating the tires actually were NOT in. I go back and get my car. I call back the next two days and the tires are not in. Finally, get the tires in and installed on the 6th day after paying for them. I always had to call them to find out any info. Low score for service. Good tires though.

There’s lots of great deals. I would say the selection is smaller than Costco and Sam’s club but the prices are better. The staff is really friendly.

BJ's is horrible. They will not honor price changes within a short window of purchase. an item dropped $40 and they would not honor it. I'll stick with the new costco and not renew. I know I'm not alone on the bad service aspect. This is now a multiple occurrence on poor service.

Jenny was amazing. Every time she came by our table she asked us if we needed anything. I wish I had a server like her everywhere I went.

I really enjoy shopping here, as it seems like a cross between Costco and Sam's.However, their return/exchange policy/process is either incredibly archaic or their service desk associates need a refresher on Customer Service.

Will definitely be switching to Costco. Jill K. The manager shouldn't be customer facing. Needs to be in a back room where she can't take her bitterness out on the customers. Pick up forgot a food item, we called and everyone was polite and told us to come in the next day to the customer service desk. Upon arriving, Jill immediately told us it's not her job and sent us elsewhere. After finally getting the item, we had to be taken BACK to Jill so she could approve. Which was basically 5 minutes of her being confused and acting like we were trying to get free hash browns out of her. So, interact with her if you want to be treated like a thief.

As long time Costco members, we decided to try it out. It’s decent and almost worth a second membership. Especially since I often travel to the east coast where they have a lot of locations. I would give the store itself 3 or 4 stars but their practice of enrolling members in auto renewal without consent settles it for us. We will not be renewing.

Stating the obvious that every customer experience tonight at BJs. Not gonna lie as we walked up to the front door we were unexpectedly greeted by an ungodly smell that smelled like a dog took a sh$t on the floor and they were heating it up with a hair dryer...... then I just kept walking thinking it was some old guy busting wind and didnt think to much about it..... but then.. as we kept working our way back to the food section shopping for family and friends the smell hit us again like a semi truck hits a brick wall! The same dog took a sh$t all over the food in the back and you could see everyone around us with an awful look on their face from the aftermath of this unfortunate smell. Not trying to hurt the feelings of the BJ employees but someone in first shift must have spilled something and forgot to clean it up and by the time we got there for 3rd shift the smell was killing everyone in its path! Wow please clean up the smell and we will be back until then! Merry Christmas BJs ;]

I've been a frequent shopper at BJ's Wholesale Club since they opened, and while I appreciate the convenience and great gas prices, I've had a few disappointing experiences with spoiled or rotten food on about five occasions. Despite this, I've enjoyed the variety of products available. However, given the food quality issues, I'm reconsidering renewing my membership.

This mega store is new to me. I truly enjoyed my first trip there a little over a month ago, so much that I signed on to become a member and got a BJ's credit card to boot. The workers there were super nice and helpful. The only thing that I didn't like was the lack of large enough boxes for me to put some of my items into. It wasn't a big enough issue for me to take way a star, though.

It is so convenient that I can either get bulk items or standard sized items. The staff is so friendly and willing to lend a hand in need. They helped us move a heavy gun safe, and not 1 but 4 employees came to lend a hand. Thank you for your help. Absolutely recommend, and will return in the near future.

****************UPDATE******************************************A few weeks ago, a friend of my wife was nice enough to give her a Vanilla Gift Card from Walmart as a token of her appreciation. However, this gift card has turned into a gift card from hell!It all started when I went to BJ’s to purchase gas for the car. I went to the pump and tried to use the gift card and it was declined. I then went to the attendant’s window at BJ’s where a teenager was on his iPhone for almost 5 minutes before I cleared my throat to let him know someone needed his assistance. The attendant acted like he was not happy about me interrupting his TikTok session and I decided to leave before I put him over my lap for a good spanking!I then discovered when I went home that BJ’s had put a hold on the balance of the card for gasoline that was declined. I called and spoke with a store manager who told me that typically the hold would be released within 24 hours. I decided to wait until the funds were released as the BJ’s manager had suggested. A week later the hold is still on the card! After searching for about 30 minutes, I found a phone number buried in the cardholder’s agreement copy online, and when I called the number I was put into a relentless unending repeat of this and that and no options for a live person. Finally, I selected the number for a problem with multiple cards which was not my issue and I was put on hold for the next representative. That hold lasted over an hour!I finally got someone from India who I could barely understand and he just kept repeating over and over, “Can I get the card number!” After about the sixth time of this obvious English non-comprendo representative, I realized that my wife’s friend had probably bought the cheapest low-cost card that was on the shelf and you certainly get what you pay for! I hung up in defeat!I also learned from this experience that nobody these days believes in helping their customers and that 99% of workers are just in it for the money and need lots of extra training in soft and hard skills. I also learned that companies realize that most Americans don’t want to work anyway and outsource as many American jobs as possible to unskilled labor overseas whom American companies probably pay way below a living wage and the poor agents are unknowing experts in frustrating Americans with their broken English and defective customer service skills. I mean, why pay an American big bucks for the same outcome? So moral of the story is DO NOT BUY VANILLA GIFT CARDS from Walmart or anywhere else that sells these cheap cards or at any time if you care for the person you want to give a gift card to!!!The really sad thing about this whole nightmare is that the initial balance of the card was $50 and I feel like I’ve already put more than double that into efforts trying to resolve the issue in both time and major headaches! Again DO NOT buy Vanilla Gift cards!I just purchased a BJ's $40 membership a while ago and had bad customer service experiences at this very same store....and now this! Costco's is looking better and better!

Your delivery process needs some serious attention. Live in an apartment. Neglected to put apartment number for delivery. Delivery left out front of my building and it was stolen. Receipt was in the box with my name, address and last 4 of debit card. Incompetence at its finest!!Update: Thank you for starting the refund process. I’m very grateful!

Avoid for cake decorating skills. I purchased a sheet cake for a retirement party and I am embarrassed to display this cake. Icing is choppy, you can see the cake through the icing and the writing is ... questionable. I'll have to buy fake flowers to cover this disaster.

A lot like Sam’s Club and Costco, but more laid back. Our trips here have been much less stressful than at the other wholesale clubs.

Great selection of items. We found several items that we usually have to order from Amazon so it's great to have them local and for the same and lower prices. Store is very similar to Costco and Sam's but a bit different selection. There was a good food selection and good TV and standard accessories selection. The prices are often better than Amazon. It's a great place to grab bulk products. It's still a clean well organized store with great prices.

This location is new and fresh clean. Staff was attentive and very customer service-focused. I happened to be visiting Indianapolis and decided to stop in as we have no BJ's club currently in my city. This reminds me of the cross between a Sam's and a Costco, but smaller and concentrated. They have an in-house and prices are comprable and competitive. They do however use a coupon system which is available in print in a booklet with you pick up at at the door and they have a mobile app. Overall a great visit and we did purchase a membership, as I will return for merchandise and the gas station.

I feel BJ's is a fine middle ground between Sam's Club, and Costco. The membership is a fair price, they have a nice wide variety of goods at a reasonable price, and everyone is friendly and helpful.I really like that the bakery is able to offer so many different licensed designs, and that they have so many varieties of cakes and cheesecakes ready to go!They have such a wide variety of gift cards at discounted rates which was a nice surprise!I loved that the food court had a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine! I've never seen that in a warehouse club before!!

Parking lot is so much easier to get in and out of than Costco. Love the deli. Great prices, can buy in small quantities. Easy to find and get help from an employee when needed.

Sam’s and Costco are better. I hate that I have to clip coupons. My pickup order has been screwed up three times so then I have to drive back after getting home and go inside and wait for it to be fixed. Don’t like that there is no pharmacy or alcohol section.Positives: they have a deli. Good bakery bread.

Customer Service was amazing! She was very sweet and very knowledgeable. Something lacked in that department these days. The store is clean. Gas is cheaper and I'm happy to say I was able to use Groupon and get a huge discount on my membership!

Not a typical wholesale club. No liquor. They have a large deli/ lunch meat counter. I will not renew my membership. Starbucks bean coffee was priced at $22.00. I received a BJ coupon for $6.60 off per bag. I thought it was a great deal, until I went to purchase the coffee. The price had been raised to $24.49 per bag.
