This has been my favorite place for many years now. It's magical. The greenhouse is open pretty much all year. Everyone is so, so nice. If you like plants, this is a MUST VISIT.

Sigh. This was our second visit, in all honesty, the first was two years ago. We were looking forward to returning.Cute place and fun drive from indianapolis.They were out of everything. Chicken salad, chips, pie. We couldn’t have a glass of wine (we were able to last visit). We had BLTs. Not great, very little bacon, etc. a blip of bland “spicy” mayo. Potato salad tasted like nothing, huge chunks of onion. Still serving the summer menu from two years ago? Expected more savory type dishes?The waitress, though sweet, was over whelmed and we waited a good 45 mins for our lunch. And it was over $60.Won’t be returning.

The ambiance was nice, the food was ok. Our waitress was great and attentive. Sadly, the lunch offerings were not the same recipes we've come to expect and enjoy. The food was also served on paper plates, not the beautiful china like prior visits. The menu was very different from our other visits. We'll be back again at some point to see if they are back to their usual menus.

We drove down for lunch from martinsville to find no tenderloin on the menu. Thats our favorite. I had the rueben and had to ask for 1000 island dressing as it was dry. My friend had Chicken salad and had to use dip that came out with chips because it was dry. Waitress was friendly but was very busy as she had whole inside dining area.

What a delightful off-the-beaten-path restaurant. The outdoor dining was rustic and perfect. They food was very good, and the service tried hard but they were under-staffed. After eating, wander the nursery filled with flowers, ornaments, and antiques. I am eager to return.

As always the food was very good. Unfortunately some of the chairs on their porch are really difficult to sit on if you're a senior. The next day I had terrible sciatic pain and my friend felt like her tailbone was broken. In addition one of their outdoor cats had eaten some crumbs off a table across from us. The server only shook the tablecloth off instead of wiping it down. They knew the critters we're begging on their outdoor seating. This is simple restaurant cleanliness that should be followed.

Couldn't have been worse! I messaged ahead to see if they had the plant I wanted to purchase and was told they did. I was so happy! The Flower and Herb Barn is not exactly in town! I was on vacation but only had one day in Brown County (Nashville, Indiana). After finding the Flower and Herb Barn, there was no one to ask for help since I was unable to locate the plants I came to purchase. So I went into the little restaurant they must also own to inquire. I was totally ignored, possibly they didn't want to give a table to just one person. I wanted only to ask how to find assistance in their plant area. After some time of being ignored, I left and went back into the plant area. After awhile I found three young men and a lady. The lady was watering. I asked her where I could find the plants I came to purchase (having checked ahead and been told they had these plants). The lady said they may have them but she didn't have any idea where they might be. I can't tell you how I felt!!! I had so little time in Brown County and wasted a chunk of time going to The Flower and Herb Barn only to be treated badly and leave empty handed. 😥

Pretty good food, maybe we went on a bad night. Some ingredients had to be substituted in what I ordered and some of the ingredients on my wife's order were missing. Maybe we will give it another try later.

Tried calling the Flower & Herb Barn, all I got was a recording saying that we're getting ready for spring, some business fail to keep information updated and current. No mention of days open or hours. Wanted to ask questions about specific items to see they carried them in store. If they don't answer phone in person, Are They OPEN?
