It went into the Ace Hardware here in new Pal was looking for a certain kind of nail Not one person offered to help me actually I couldn’t even find nobody except the only person I’ve seen was the cashier and I just walked out. I could get better service from Lowe’s or the stores, but I don’t think I’m coming back.

Wow, do I miss New Pal Hardware the selection has become dismal, the help other then an isolated carry over from the old days. The health is a knowledgeable and the stock and merchandise is way over priced(sometimes twice the price as Home Depot or Amazon). I miss the home town feel of New Pal Hardware, the friendly staff, the great selection of semi pro equipment and some Ag products as well as a selection of professional products.

I've been to hardware stores all over the US, and Walker Ace Hardware is, hands down, the best hardware store I've ever set foot in. I'm one of those that'll go to a store, looking for a part or a tool that doesn't even exist, and end up with a few staff members helping me search for a part or a tool that doesn't even exist. This store, though, has had the part or tool that I've needed, every time. The staff members are all cool, and would probably help look for a tool or a part that doesn't exist, however, they could just direct someone toward the hardware section, where they stock everything one might ever need, to bring the non-exising item into existance.It's worth a visit.

I've lived in a lot of small towns with small town hardware stores. They are all the same for the most part. Limited stock, high prices, but convenience. And they don't do inventory, count on their customers to do inventory for them. This place is no different. However, today I went in, picked up an item, and took it to check out. There were three or four people in line. The woman at the cash register ask about an item outside. The cashier was like let's go look at it. The young lady was like "check these people out first". The cashier was like " they can wait" and walked outside leaving all of us just standing there. So one star.

The store and people are nice. They don't take debit or Google pay. Their machines don't allow you to enter a debit number. I had to go somewhere else to spend my money

This is a great little hardware shop it primarily is designed to service New Palestine although they have a wonderful steel warranty and repair shop and they have about everything you can think of. Now I will say they are a lot more expensive then some of the other local places and sometimes you're doing a large job it certainly would be cheaper to drive on in a Menards or Lowe's but for some items I think you could probably only find it there reminds me of an old time store the people are extremely friendly and extremely nice just pricey

Nice and convenient but prices are ridiculous but I get it it's a small area that's the only shop within 5 chop within 5 to 10 miles so they can price it anyway they choose but too sink basket for a kitchen sink should not be $40

Tony greeted us at the front door, and asked if we needed help. Found us the size bolt we needed and saved us so much time. Was super nice, thorough, and overall very helpful! Lots of stuff here too. Definitely our new hardware spot.

Support Local!New Pal Hardware is so convenient and I've always found what I need there... Even odd items. Staff is friendly and very helpful. This is great for residents who don't want to shop the big box stores- and it's much closer! I was elated when they moved to the larger building!!

The associates are friendly and service is excellent. I find the selection, while not extensive, adequate. Unfortunately, prices are high. A couple of examples were a 4.80x4.00-8 wheel barrow tire for about $44 which can be bought at Lowe's for about $30. Or Diamond Cyrstal Iron Out Salt for $8.49 which can be found a $1 or more cheaper at other stores. Not that all the prices are high, but I've found this to be the rule more than the exception.

This is a great local store for quick trips. The amount and variety of stuff in the relatively small space is mind boggling, but somehow still well organized. Also, they have the cheapest propane exchange price in town!

Called out there to see if by chance they had a part we needed, the first time I got a younger sounding guy he said if I got the part number he would look and see cause they had a few but not many, well I got the part number and called back, got an older guy, maybe middle aged and told him what I was calling for said I just spoke to someone they said they'd look and see and this rude person told me I didn't...uh ok...I said yeah. I did. The guy said if I had a part number he would look and see just in case and he said we only have this brand and we don't have that part I know I'm the owner and said it rather rude. I do not recommend this store. I used to like it cause they have always been nice and friendly but after being spoke to like this I will not ever go back and will not recommend it to anyone.Edit because apparently it's unclear, the owner was the one rude not the first employee I spoke to, the first employee was nice, when I called with the part number the owner answered and was very short and rude. I can't reply to his response to I chose to make an edit.

I love this store. It reminds me of the one I worked in during high school and college. The staff is friendly and very helpful, way more than I have EVER seen at the big box stores. They have a tremendous selection of items. If they don't have it, you don't need it. I urge you to stop by and help keep this store going, this place is NEEDED in our community.
