Absolutely wonderful selection! Varied.. they have clothes, tools, everything a hardware store should have, and more! This place even has a very elaborate, home wine/beer making section dedicated to the original owner. It has EVERYTHING a home brewer would ever need!! And they know what all of it is for!! The staff are downright sweet, friendly, and helpful.

A very nice lady helped me find a bolt cutter for a lock I had to break because of some missing keys. It worked instantly! So happy!

I only shop here when absolutely necessary,,,unfortunately I feel like I'm constantly being rushed and I enjoy good service but when you walk in and 3 steps in you have 3 ppl asking what you need and watching your every move makes me feel like I going to take something.. Could be a great place to shop ,if they could learn to ease up on their customers!

The staff at Paterson Do it Best is second to none when it comes to service, knowledge, and attitude. I am consistently greeted warmly upon entering, and staff is always able to provide a level of help well above what you'd expect from your average retail employee. If you want real assistance when shopping, this place provides it. I highly recommend them.

Been shopping in this store for over 25 yrs. Always greeted helpful a can be until today went there for wire for my son. Went got help he showed me where and left. So cut what I needed then a store ownerwalked up a said what are you doing. I said getting wire he never cut again I said asked for help he walked off. He wanted to blame on the pandemic. He was just rude wrong the way he spoke to a customer. Bad service never again.

Staff is always super knowledgeable and very helpful. Completely different experience compared to what you get at the larger hardware stores. You walk in and they know where their items are and they can explain to you information about the items you want to purchase. Hands-down best hardware out there!!

Would love to be able to shop here without someone constantly breathing down my neck as if I’m going to steal something. You asked if I needed help and I said no. If I need help I will find you and ask a question. If I can’t just shop and look at products without the same person walking up and down the aisle watching me then I won’t shop here. I’d love to buy locally but I won’t be back. Thanks.

I have been going to Paterson's for years and they always have great and friendly service and great knowledge on any project you are wanting to tackle. The store is very organized and well stocked with just about anything you could need for any project. Great store and people!

Walked in to a sign for mask required I look at the two ladies that work here greeting people and one ladies mask is under her chin and the other ladies is under her nose......I point at the sign and ask is this real???? Because neither of you are wearing a mask. Both looked like deer in headlights when asked. Seems like the management needs a overhaul if this is going on and requiring masks for customers. Will never go back along with my friends.

Horrible customer service. Would not allow me to exchange an item I was gifted. All I needed was a size swap. I drove an hour to get to the store because I was told I was able to exchange as long as I had the tags which I did. Will NEVER shop at a do it best again
