EXACTLY the type of breakfast I want when on the road. Me, my wife, and our dog stopped by this place at 9 AM—right when they opened—for a bite to eat before embarking on a hike (we sat outside at one of the tables). I got the bacon, egg, and cheese on a biscuit. Everything about this sandwich was perfect; the bacon was crispy and thick with a hint of smokiness to it, the biscuit was soft and buttery, the cheese was properly melted, and the fried egg was the right amount of fluffiness. I really appreciate unpretentious breakfast that doesn’t try to combine 17 flavors when these four are all you need. Its simplicity and focus on the quality of each component make for an excellent sandwich. We also got an order of delicious cinnamon donuts balls that came with an apple butter spread. Absolutely get those if you have a couple people in your party and like sweet pastries.After breakfast, I went inside and poked around the shop for a few minutes to check it out. If you’re into Americana and themed antiques, you’ll probably find something to love in the store. If nothing else, a quick spin around the shop makes for a hearty feast for the eyes.

Real food from scratch is the best food we've grown up with. No shortcuts! Great environment along with great personalities. The food is just as expected - excellent!We ordered a peanut butter pie (must be peanut butter lover) and it's a 4.5 star - the texture rich & creamy, made with chocolate crust and drizzled with nuts. The whipped topping (loss .5 star) was gross (looks pretty) but was dry. Should be applied after pie is served.The biscuit and gravy is "okay" it's got to much of a floury taste. Can't put my finger on it - it does taste better with toast rather than the biscuit. So eliminate the biscuit and the gravy is good. It's not your moms...The sausage was not just a patty but was a hefty portion with great flavor need a knife and fork to cut.The scrambled eggs were not as awesome as I was expecting but it's scrambled eggs how much could you expect without any toppings within.The apple butter is out of this world (10 star)!The chocolate milk is made with (I believe) Hershey's Syrup. It's okay but not as good as you'd hope.Orange juice is pulp free.I had breakfast but I'll try lunch hopefully later today.Overall I loved it! Even though it sounded negative, give them a try.

Staff was very friendly and super nice. the breakfast was very good. I recommend the French toast. Good place to get honey. No bathroom here but the public restroom is close by so no worries. Look around at all the home decor and artwork while you wait for food! When were there it was by far one of the coziest places we ate.

Great place for a quick breakfast or lunch. Sausage gravy and biscuits, french toast, bacon and sausage patty were all good. Inside or outside seating. You order and pay first. Foam plates and plasticware

Best meal we had on the whole trip! We all got breakfast. Pancakes, sausage gravy with biscuits, French toast, sausage patties, and bacon. Nothing disappointed, but the people who got bacon all wished they'd gotten the sausage.Counter service, with servers who deliver to the table. Disposable plates, flatware, cups etc. Great value for the prices.Tons of crafts and artisan goods to look at while you wait, too.

Lovely little place in Nashville. I love how the exterior looks old! They have made some newer updates since last year. We stop here every year in the fall. They have a good food selection. Their apple dumpling is delicious and a must have.

Under new ownership, very little in the bakery portion, I assume you want to get there at open if you want to grab up a yummy treat until they get the hang of the foot traffic. Not much in the knick knacks portion of the shop, but maybe that will change to more of a restaurant.. which would be really cool in that building!

Ah-mazing baked goods. Atmosphere is just what you would want it to be. I haven't tried the lunch there yet but I hear it's the best. Overall love visiting.

Lots of unique items in the shop. I had an iced mint chocolate coffee and it was very good. My sister-in-law had an iced white chocolate caramel coffee and she said it was really good. They were very busy when we were there. They also offer sandwiches and have indoor seating as well as picnic tables outside. Definitely a must stop when I'm Nashville, IN!

A fun old time general store with many general store type products to browse. We did not eat at restaurant but tried out a glass of sassafras tea. Everyone should check this store out when they visit.

The food was pretty good, and the atmosphere was nice. Being my first time it was a little strange that the food and drinks come out at the same time, but it works.The music was cracking me up honestly.If you want to be served, go elsewhere. The wait for the food was probably 10-15 minutes on a Saturday but they were pretty busy for what I would consider to be the off season.Two more small gripes: 1. The coffee was terrible. (Basically brown water) and 2. They serve everything on styrofoam. It’s a bummer. Plates or at minimum paper plates would be much better.

Whenever we come to Nashville we're always popping into the General Store because we love this place and all the great finds and goodies in it. The food they serve is here is hand made and just plain wonderfulness! You can never go wrong with breakfast or lunch during their dining hours - Yum!

Love this place! Great breakfast and cinnamon roll. People were very nice and great service. Only place I would go for a meal in Nashville. Enjoyed walking around the store too. Treated us with a welcoming smile and a lot of laughter😁💓

Authentic old-fashion store and restaurant! Very friendly staff and amazing food. Had the biscuit n gravy and wife had the French toast. We shared the fried biscuits which were covered in cinnamon and had apple butter. So good! We're grateful that we live a short drive from here. We will definitely be coming back!

These guys are the best! You are always greeted with a smile and excellent customer service. Their treats are delicious. Make sure to try the cold brew coffee, but beware it's a loaded drink and is definitely great for a bit of a boost!

We went for lunch. The sandwiches are nothing super notable, just a good, honest sandwich. Now, the Bavarian Pretzel... THAT was amazing! Large, just heavy enough, and an amazing cheese dip. FULLY recommend this dish!

We decided to take a chance and have breakfast on a Saturday morning while staying in Nashville. We ended up enjoying so much we came back on Sunday before traveling home. Their sausage is amazing and the hot sauces are delicious as well.

Great general store and restaurant, breakfast is served until noon for the late risers, the full portion of biscuits and gravy with sausage or bacon on the side is swimming in delicious sausage gravy over two biscuits I would have taken a photo but was hungry and devoured it before I was thinking. There's a wide selection of things to look at for sale including canned food we got the farmers pickels and tried them when we got home and they are delicious highly recommend, we will definitely be back to try other items.

Absolutely LOVED this place! The breakfast sandwich on sourdough is a must have. For those with a sweet tooth we recommend the pecan pie warmed up!

Not a "Bakery"... No donuts, Danish, etc. Went looking for a bakery, found only a couple of cinnamon rolls, brownies and cobblers? The entire 'bakery' case was maybe 2 1/2 feet across, and 2 shelves. We tried the cinnamon rolls, and they were fine, but not worth $5 a piece. It is a neat place to look around, and they have a restaurant which we hear is good... maybe put that on the sign...

I loved this place! They have so much to look at. Great selection of local goods. The staff is great and super informative about the area. They have everything I’m the store, local spices, salsa, BBQ, backed goods, and lots of home decorations. They also serve food at a really good price. I went for breakfast and had their biscuits and gravy. It was soooo good! I look forward to going back and maybe trying more of their menu items. Highly recommend!

This shop is not on the main drag in Nashville, so look it up and make the effort to get to it. Delectable fried biscuits, exotic sodas and plenty of light lunch food to enjoy. They have several picnic benches outside where one can sit in the shade and get replenished. Pretty nifty store inside as well. NOT full of that what has become the Nashville standard items: pieces of wood with Live Laugh Love (and such) painted on them. How refreshing!

Got the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw and an order of sweet potato fries (some kind of delicious spicy sauce on the side) and some peach cobbler. Everything was delicious and the cobbler was beyond awesome!!! Highly highly recommend this little place in Little Nashville!!!!

We stopped by and the place was closed and a for sale sign out front. We were so disappointed, we visited this place 10yrs ago and wanted to check them out again. If it's permanently closed the hrs should definitely reflect that on line and at the store.
