We were working on a contracting job outside our normal area, and Bear was the only hardware store close. All the staff members I interacted with were completely knowledgeable and friendly. And the store is huge! We were able to spend more time working and less time hunting for supplies thanks to Bear.

I will never do business here again after being sold pink and purple stain that was supposed to be brown and the owner refusing to refund the trash they sold me. As a contractor who would regularly use this store, even though their prices are double, I regret to say that I can not recommend anybody use this store period. You are better off driving to Menards in Columbus than wasting your time and money at Bear."Once we mix the stain it isn't our problem" -Kurt, Owner

Fun place to explore! This is a combination of antique shop and old-school "little of everything" hardware store. I was pleased to find parts for my antique Aladdin oil lamp. Customer service was good-they checked up on us but didn't hover. Something for everyone!

This is the BEST small town hardware store I have ever been in! It amazes me every time I go in to buy something needed! They do not supply lumber as does Lowe's or Menard's, but just about any other thing one needs for repairs, lawn and gardening, tools, painting, grilling, plumbing and more! They even have a section offering antiques!

Only game in town. Expensive - Generally well stocked with a wide variety of hardware and household products. - Some salespeople seem quite knowledgeable and are helpful. Some sales people are unfriendly and condescending. This attitude was experienced during multiple visits, over time. I was laughed at for wearing a mask. Few masks were worn. Good location and parking - The limited live plant inventory is well maintained, healthy stock. A small antique section adds further interest.

One of the best hardware stores I've been too. They have so many items in stock, I'm always shocked by the wide variety of items they carry. Great to go to for that item you need to finish the job, and great to just stop by and check out. And free popcorn!

This is just a fun place to visit. Bear Hardware has been around since I was a little boy. There is always something interesting to see. It is a great place to find an unusual gift for that hard to buy for person. It is also a great place to look if you are wanting anything cast iron.

Didn't even get a chance to go there. We were camping in Brown County State Park, and needed emergency camping supplies, do I called them. Told them we were at the front of the park ready to leave immediately. The lady on the phone stated repeatedly that they closed on fifteen minutes and refused to stay open for our emergency. Very disappointing. Good thing we were able to finally find someone in the camp to help us.

Great place to shop. Has just about anything related to yard, building, and some ag related inventory. Excellent and knowledgeable staff, not to many incorrect answers. I usually help myself but there are times I use the salesperson to get me in and out fast. John is their Stihl expert with a warm attitude, always come away learning something about their products from him.

They always have all the odd ball things you can never find @ a chain store. Prices tend to run a bit higher but not always. Be sure to plan for some time so you can just rummage around and find all the things you been looking to find for months but forgot about.
