1st timer at Strack & Van Til. It's a cute store with a spectacular bakery section. If you need to avoid sugar, after the fruit section walk quickly to the right to get away from Sugar Land.Good prices. We actually found Hinckley Water. I can't find it in Illinois. My 83 year old aunt was thrilled. We picked her up 2 cases at a reasonable price.The app rewards system could be better in comparison to their competitors.

I've been coming here since I moved to Lansing, 4/5 years ago. Strack and Van Til used to be way better option to Walmart. Fresher meat, produce, lower prices ect... Now the prices are higher on some items, they sell rotten meat and vegetables all the time! I've gotten several batches of stank meat. From chicken to beef, they will put fresh meat on top and old meat on the bottom. Even with fruit and vegetables. I have bought rotten oranges and potatoes here! Not because I didn't look around the bag but the rotten one was usually underneath or put in the middle of the bag somehow!!! I like the people who work here and usually get good customer service. But the quality and prices is just so hard to keep coming here. It's not many options in this area. There's Aldi and Jewel Osco near by but Aldi doesn't sell everything I'm looking for, and Jewel has the same problem of freshness. Selling rotten food as well! Making a meal gets harder and higher every day!

So upset they blocked off the shortcut by the produce because my elderly mother always uses that bcs she can't get around the big store and sometimes she forgets stuff and doesn't buy it bcs it's too far of a walk. Not sure why management would make such a poor decision for elderly and disabled people

I have always loved this store and just bought 50 dollars worth of stuff and needed to exchange a ten dollar bill for quarters. And they wouldn't. I will never spend a dime here again. Horrible service for no good reason

Used the app twice. 1st time some if my groceries went to the wrong home. 2nd try I received half my groceries and someone else’s. Door dash number blocked and had to go into the store to bring back someone else’s food and pick up the balance of mine. Never again!

Ridiculous that when you order a large order of fried chicken you have to get a number get in line give them your number then they send you to the checkout counter which you stand in line again then you have to come back to the deli window and they want you to take another number and get in line to get your chicken. Completely ridiculous!

The Munster store is a complete mess. Change in systems overnight didn't go well. Only a few cashier lanes open. Wanted in line nearly 15 minutes.Asked for paper bags. Picture attached is after I barely made it to the car. Half gallon of milk half gallon of OJ plus a frozen dinner in one single bag.

Is great in Walmart runs out of certain items that you need the prices little bit hard though the restroom redone but there's always a strong odor and it's never clean especially the sit-down stall

I was at the store today 1- 26- 24 the handicap riding carts should be in front when you walk in the store but they are around the corner where you can't see them the only way to see them is when you are checked out that needs to change the store is great except for that issue thank you all stay safe

Don, who cleans and offers you a cart as you enter,is the best! However the checkout employee that wouldn't accept a coupon until the item was shown to her and doesn't know what a yellow onion is should be fired!

Service was terrible. We were there just to get donuts, and the ones we needed were on a tray out of reach. Somebody from the bakery came by asking if we needed help, and when we asked if she could just move the tray closer so we could reach it, we were told "I don't work for this department" and she just walked off. How hard is it to move a tray of donuts closer? Afterwards, the woman who worked in that department came by and started yelling at us about attitude, even though we never gave them any. The attitude of the associates were highly inappropriate, and the customer service was some of the worst I've seen. I work at a grocery store, and if I treated a customer the way they treated us, I would have been taken into the back for a talking to and had a mark put against me by a manager. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

There are no words to describe what I endured today from an employee at the deli today. The attitude she displayed to her co worker in front of me as a customer and others was absolutely uncalled for and disgusting. Because I believe in good work ethic and respect I expressed my feelings of her attitude and that it was not necessary. It was then she became unhinged like I have never seen in a public setting much less the grocery store. I have never been treated like that anywhere as a customer. Even as the manager stood there and I no longer engaged in the employees behavior she continued to provoke the situation and act unruly, disrespectful, and downright ignorant. Literally screaming and making a scene. It saddens me that Stracks has individuals like that representing and serving anyone. I am flabbergasted and honestly in shock. As a loyal customer for a very long time, I truly hope that management handles this situation.

I bought some beef neck bones that were PERFECT!! Made a delicious soup with them. They were reasonably priced and the clerk was so helpful. I recommend anyone to go get you some 😂. I had a wonderful experience ❤️I love the self checkout. It was easy and fast.

Great family owned and operated grocer for decades. Located in the neighborhood easy to find. A staple in the community for all your grocery needs. They offer a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood and fresh meats. Clean well lit spacious isles for your shopping convenience. There is also an extensive frozen food section. From juice to snacks , something for everyone in the family. Pricey but excellent quality, add a deli counter with freshly prepared items including fried chicken and fish and you have a complete satisfaction guarantee experience. Stop in and fill your cart, the knowledgeable waitstaff will assist if you need help. Plenty of parking available and call in orders are a plus. Internet orders can be arranged for delivery or curbside pickup. Enjoy your visit !!!
