My Black Lab has been dealing with a constant ear infection.The Vet in Portage wasn't doing anything productive so I decided to try the Munster Animal Hospital,What a difference, Dr Won is a intelligent and compassionate doctor.He is treating Maddie the way she needs to be treated.They have a great staff there as well.

Tank (Bishon 15 yrs.) & Tyson (American Bulldog 12 yrs.) have been coming here since puppies. The care received for just about 14 years; whether medical, grooming or boarding has always been exceptional. Dr. Han has an amazing staff from the front to the back who show so much love to our doggies!!! Our little guy (Tank) has been groomed by Jamie since the beginning and does an exceptional job! My little one has lost sight & hearing & yet they are still so very gentle with him.Also, I love the fact that when we are able to have our fur babies in the same cage when boarding them. I feel so secure in knowing that they’re together when we have had to leave them.Here’s a major plus that I love about this place…It ALWAYS smells so good. Whatever they use; I promise you will never trace the smell of stinky puppies when you walk in that door!🤣Keep up the exceptional work!!!! The Walters have & will continue to recommend you to anyone who asks! 🐶🐾❤️

Great Service, didn't have a long wait. This is a walk-in clinic for pets. You do need an appointment for grooming. As with most vets nowadays, costs add up depending on what is wrong and how many medications are needed.I highly recommend Munster Animal Hospital.

I recently boarded my dog Milo at the Munster Animal Hospital for 12 days, despite my initial nervousness due to a previous bad experience at another facility. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service provided by the staff. They kept me in the loop whenever I called for updates, which helped alleviate my anxiety. The prices for boarding were midrange compared to other locations. While Milo needed to be up to date on his shots, the hospital accepted proof from other reputable vets, which saved us additional costs. Overall, I would highly recommend Munster Animal Hospital for boarding services. In the future, when we can't take our fur baby with us, we will definitely consider boarding him there again. As a bonus, Milo even came back with a new scarf, which was a thoughtful touch.

Wonderful place for boarding!! I took my dog Max here for boarding for the very first time and Ania gave me a tour before I dropped him off. She put me at so much ease and I didn’t worry at all! During his time being boarded, she even sent me pictures of him and gave me updates! It was so nice and relaxing to see how much they care about your pet here. Thank you Ania and the MAH team for taking care of my baby!! I will be bringing him here again.

On December 23 I brought my dog in for shots and there are usually a more friendly staff but not this day. Very rude and one of them looked so mean couldn’t say good morning. My dog is older and calmer now and able to be held while receiving his shots. The technicians wouldn’t look at him and they don’t know him. They wanted me to return on a Tuesday like they are the only ones that have to work. I have spent a lot of money with them and today it was whoever they liked. My rating is zero

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Without even taking my animal out of his carrier, the vet wanted to charge me $1700 and keep my pet for days. When I said I was leaving, he said, “Can I take a look at your pet?” Well, yea, that’s why I’m here. Then, he took a urinalysis off a dirty table with a syringe, gave my pet 2 shots, and charged me $300. He then called me the next morning saying my pet needed to come in or he could die. I immediately drove back ready to pay whatever was needed to save my pet, and was told at the front desk the vet left a note that he couldn’t help me, and to go to an emergency vet. Well, thank god I did, because the emergency vet was able to diagnose him in minutes, ran all the correct tests, including X-rays, and informed me my pet wasn’t in danger of dying. Also, the emergency vet was CHEAPER than what Munster charged me the day before, and cheaper than the $1700 estimate I was given. Wish I had just started with the emergency vet and saved $300 to begin with, and not let my pet suffer an extra night, along with my nerves.

If there was a zero star I would give it that or negativeHorrible service and clinic. Treated my pet very inhumanely. The vet has absolutely no sympathy and behaves like a business money maker. The staff is also not sympathetic. Due to a poor visit, I had asked for some courtesy, unfortunately they did not have one ounce of courtesy unlike the other vet clinics I have been to my whole life. This is the worst ever clinic /,,hospital!I do not suggeste anyone to go here. Please save ur money which I wasted!

I had my dog in on Tuesday and so Not a fan, so I will be a first and last time customer.. 95 dollar office visit for me to speculate what I thought was going on and the vet to agree with me and give a prescription. Didn’t even come within 5 feet of my dog or examine him.

Dr Han lack of eye contact and eager to leave the room while I was asking questions.Desk adminstation rude and disrespectful. One desk clerk asked who was was next; another desk clerk pointed at me and said "that over there".Verbally addressed my concerns with another desk admin of being referred to as" that over there . She said nothing regarding my concern and took my money.I requested my pet records and left.This is the last time I'll patron this place. Negative stars

They seemed to really care about my pet. I feel they gave me all the medicine needed to heal my pet. They have a very nice staff. No, it isn't cheap, but a healthy pet is well worth it. Thank you for your care & my pet thanks you as well!!

Horrible experience. Doc came in for half a second and then left just stating my pet needed shots. This was for a small wound . Iv never seen such lack of compassion. I paid over 130 bucks for this visit and came all the way. Also I had asked the vet tech for help holding my pet but she was instructed to not help meWill never come back!

My dog Rigby, (there are four receptionist. lady to the far right, older) called him Wrigley & nurse called him something else.) two receptionist were eating snacks. very unprofessional and gross( was a hair or something on her cheese ball she took it off and she saw me see that, she eat it)Doctor came in and diagnosed my dog with a heart murmur and suggested x-rays & such. Now The receptionist were Ok (besides). Dr. was polite.came out to be about $750. Can’t pay it.Visit into see the doctor cost $110.00. Ok.I am glad you don’t need an appointment to come here, but you better be ready to pay for you loved one.P.s. Rigby is still sick…

Jamie is the best groomer on the planet. I have trusted her with my dog her entire life. Moved to Michigan and still drive to have Jamie work with my dog. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

You never see the same vet twice. Every time you bring your fur baby in all they do is read the file but never have an idea of a past history of knowing your pet or caring for the animal. They placed my cat on a medication that brought out a horrible side effect then acted as if they knew nothing of the drug they were prescribing. But told me to go ahead and bring her back in so I can give them more money after one visit was over $350. When I spoke with the vet about next steps or possible alternatives to the prescribed medication that seemed to do more harm than good I was told by the vet “ I don’t want to talk about that, I just want to run more tests”. And when asked if the test would prove that the medication was bringing on the horrible side effect I was told no it won’t prove that either. Always a long wait at this facility, no personal care for people or animals, over priced “services” and they like to prescribe trial medications that are like poison to our pets with no concern of the outcome.

First time and I loved that it’s a walk in vet office . No appointment required which is awesome . Went for my puppy Finns vaccinations . Very fast . You call to sign in and I only waited for about 25 minutes . At the end of the appointment I received tons of freebies for my puppies first visit !! Thank you !

I love the care and convenience of Munster Animal Hospital. The hours have recently changed, but they are still very liberal and offer you a great ability to have your pet treated. I have utilized many veterinary clinics over my years in the Chicago area, and I love Munster's walk-In policy. This creates a much more efficient level of care and optimizes the doctor's ability to move through patients. I have never waited longer than 20 minutes to be seen at Munster, and I've been a patron for at least 5-6 years. I have also found the manner of the doctors and support staff to be 2nd to none. Thoroughly knowledgeable and very caring. Lastly, the staff at front desk is the best! The accompanying picture shows my 10 year old rescue that they saved! This is Titan following foreign body gastro surgery. I'm happy to say that he's better than ever.

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINC!!!!!! I was very disappointed with the service I received. Let me start off by saying the overall staff was very friendly and easy to work with my problems are directly with Dr. Han. I am not going to go into extreme detail but Dr. Han walked in and looked at some paperwork and told me based on that that my pet had some sort of condition that they do not have (confirmed by other vets on 2nd and 3rd opinions) Then when i tried to ask questions he directed me to the front desk staff. I spoke to him for 2 minutes. I go to a vet to learn what is wrong with my pet from a professional. No offense to the front desk staff as they likely have more knowledge than I do, but they are not the vet. Dr. Han does not care about your pet. He cares about one thing and that is the almighty dollar. If he cared he would have taken the time to give my pet a full exam and then answer any question not just look at paperwork look at the cat tell me something that isn't true and push me to reception.

The Munster Animal Hospital has been very good to me and my dog, a 70-lb Dutch Shepherd rescue that was not properly socialized as a puppy.The kennel staff are confident and loving with her in exactly the way she needs, and I feel comfortable leaving her in their care during boarding. The day and overnight rates for boarding are inexpensive, which surprised me and for which I'm grateful. The facility is secure, and they were happy to allow me in the back where the dogs are boarded to pick up my dog if needed.The veterinary staff are also wonderful and kind with both me and my dog. This is primarily a walk-in office rather than by appointment, but I have never had to wait long. I have only interacted with two of the vets on staff so far, and they were both informative and answered questions. The vet techs have been good as well.The reason I have given this business a four star review is because I feel that the visits from the vets are brief, though I understand that the place is usually quite busy. Additionally, I do wish the location was not so close to a busy road, but I do appreciate that it is quick to get to. Overall, I will be happily taking my dog to the Munster Animal Hospital for as long as I live in the area.

I went with my dog as a new patient walk in. The staff was truly friendly and the doctor was amazing. They were pretty fast and answered all of my questions. My dog had a broken nail and they assisted so well and caring. Definitely recommend this place and fair prices.

HAD ENOUGH -0 stars if google allowed.As a regular customer (40+) years, old location near 45th st. through the moving years going through all the covid parking protocol (2-3 hours waiting in the lot) then another hour waiting for the vet to call me to tell "how much", I had had enough. I left Munster Animal and went to another vet. I got a new Giant Schnauzer puppy last year and thought a new vet without the protocol would do us both good. I was a little disappointed, but happy with the kindness of staff and doctors.Unfortunately, covid changed the way things were done prior to the pandemic, which took way longer to actually see patients in person.Today, around 3:57pm, 8/8 we decided to take her back to Munster Animal to get her a pre surgery checkup (my decision) to make sure she was perfectly healthy and would fly through her spaying surgery. When I got there the place was empty except staff. I was told the doctors are only there until 4...grrrr. There are no doctors on Wednesdays, and only every other Saturday..grrrrrHow do you run a business, let alone a vet hospital and have such ridiculous doctor hours and expect to have happy customers? Some people have to work 40 + hours a week. Getting to you before 4 was hectic and very nerve wracking especially to find out they left early....grrrrI have read this lengthy list of unhappy complaints and feel most if not all are accurate with their issues.I own a customer service based business that's over 77 years old and would be totally embarrassed to have a feedback list like yours. I have over 500, (five hundred) 5* customer reviews here on google and go way out of my way to please EVERYONE.You have received the last dime from me and I wish you and your greedy money machine approach the best.Now that I've got this off my chest and feel better. I hope the existing customers will read this with an open mind. I will travel miles out of my way to get the doctors that really love other peoples pets and that will accommodate the hospital they own with staff that are considerate and kind.Paying google $$ to allow you a 3.9 rating is a joke in itself. I did the math with 552 reviews, mostly negative and your rating should be around 2.8 not 3.9, funny how paid math scores improve!!!You have page after page of serious complaints, your compliments are few. The doctor here is very dismissive whenever I mention a concern about my dog. He doesn’t give the attention my dog needs for his concerns and is just trying to move to the next patient. Would not recommend this place for medical care.

They gave my dog wrong medicine and she died. This was during Covid. It was our first time there her vet couldn’t get her in and she was in hip pain. I found out that the medication giving was not a good fit. So she developed diabetes and went blind all within 2months of getting a good wellness report from her vet. All bloodwork was done and she was great took her here and health declined rapidly 3weeks afterwards. #RIP Carmen my fur baby
