Some of the pharmacy techs are really nice and caring, but there are also some really horrible & rude ones. As a pharmacy in general, CVS is a logistical nightmare. Always some sort of problem with filling my medications. And as for the store, everything is overly expensive, but that’s to be expected at a drug store.

Pharmacy staff is the worse. Rude technicians, not only to me but to other customers. I've witnessed trash talking about other customers by the technicians. They should not be in a position that deals with the public good or bad. I've not had a problem with any of the pharmacist, but I think they are turning a deaf ear to the action of their technicians.

The bad reviews for this CVS puzzle me. I’ve been coming here for almost 10 years and rarely ever had any issues. Especially with the pharmacists. Usually they’re women and they’ve always been professional and pleasant to approach to ask questions or understand information. I’m not saying no one has legitimate complaints, but I question how reasonable most of them are. I’ve witnessed customers throw downright temper tantrums because they didn’t get their way when the workers are only trying to follow the law and company policy. Plus, the techs are usually young and poorly paid meaning there is higher turnover. But they’re not trained medical professionals and I’ve seen people treat them like garbage. That leaves the pharmacist to bear the brunt of things, which they do rather miraculously given the circumstances.

Pharmacy—Jessica was extremely rude and unapologetic when making mistakes. I’ll avoid her at all costs. Thanks to the Dr. who stepped in because Jessica was incompetent and shouldn’t be working with the public in any medical capacity.

The workers have an issue with doing the job they applied and were hired to do. Such piss poor attitudes not only from the pharm tech’s but the pharmacist (woman) is not the brightest crayon in the box and calls it “her pharmacy” she said she has the right to refuse service since they close in 5 minutes. Then tried to justify saying I would do the same and I replied with “we don’t refuse patients any service because it’s my job to help others not make things more difficult. Overall this pharmacy has went so downhill over the last year. I can see why the gentlemen’s pharmacist left to the other location.

If there was a zero I would give the pharmacy a zero. The customer service and interaction with customers here is the worst. Clearly something is lacking. Will be moving my business as soon as possible. Not worth the frustration.

Bad customer service, and that goes for the one up the street too. Idk if the employees aren't paid enough, poorly trained, or just disgruntled but I don't like that when I come for help I'm met with opposition. Honestly, I'm suprised. I went into the store to pick up my rx and I wanted to transfer it. She told me I have to do it in the app and I have to wait til it fills again. I did that and then I can't see my rx anymore and the app is telling me it's too soon for it to be filled. The app has always been trash tbf, which is why I asked in the store. So I call this one and she tells me it's there but I can't get it til Monday. She says to me, "well why can't you go to that one? it's only 6 miles from here"Wow. Excuse me. Rude. That's neither here nor there. It's not your business why I want it transfered. I don’t want to drive 6 more miles so I can make a 20mi round trip. Really? Is it really that big of a deal to transfer a rx? I've never talked to a customer like that and I've never denied a customer assistance when they're standing right in front of me asking. That was just very wild to me.

Iv been coming to this CVS for 15 years. The Parmacist Joeseph and Lorena were awesome. The techs like Katie were fabulous. Hi Mr. Grogan was the greeting. How's the grandkids. WHAT HAPPENED?!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. The ignorant people working there are like the old chicago dmv. They get a kick out of the power they posses. People are there for medications that they need. They went to the doctor for an illness. This place is terrible. Go somewhere else. Ignorant plain and simple.

I recently had a prescription sent here from the terrible location in Hammond. I would rather die of whatever ails me then to ever enter that establishment again. They were so helpful here at the Munster location. Very friendly and accommodating. Literally fixed the mistake Hammond made. AND picked up by the 2nd ring. 3 miles apart. A world of difference

Terrible experience!! I just had surgery and my doctor sent in two prescriptions . One was for pain. I called and was told they’d be ready at 3:15p. When my sister went to pick them up, the pharmacist told her that pain medication was not ready and gave no further explanation , just to come back in an hour.In an economy where customer service is so important, I really feel that the store manager should pay closer attention to the poor reviews that the store is getting! Remember, people have many choices where to spend their money!!

I am extremely worried about patients who utilize this pharmacy. The lack of attention to detail, lack of customer service and overall attitude by the employees almost ensures that a prescription mishap will occur if it hasn't already.We just transferred all of our scripts out of this pharmacy to another after spending WAY too much time dealing with the incompetence here.Someone in corporate at CVS needs to look into this STAT before someone suffers a serious medical injury due to lack of care by the pharmacy staff.

As everyone else said, DO NOT come here if you expect any kind of decent customer service. I came into the store to add money to my checking account and was told I have to use the self checkout. I explained I was doing a transaction that required a clerk and I was told once again to use self checkout. I then restated that I needed a clerk, as I cannot complete the transaction at a self checkout. I was then told it will be another 20 mins before someone cameTo the front to give her a drawer. There was only me, one customer, in the whole store yet 2-3 employees. So nobody has a drawer or could bring one up faster then 20 mins? I guess not seeing as they were so busy. I’ll never come back to this location again! Don’t

Robots! Horrible pharmacy experience, no care for customers, Pharmacy experience was not good, they all gave different updates on prescriptions. Called in, checked on prescription and was told its ready, when I arrived at the drive thru I was told there wasnt a script in system, I left and contacted my wife and she called again to find out they were ready so I turned back and went inside, waited in line for 10mins and was told they werent ready, so I sat down waited another 10mins until called it was ready, then I went up and they said $6000 for the med insurance doesnt cover it. So I asked the other tech to check on what insurance they were using and she said no insurance on file and they needed the insurance to submit, which was brought up 20mins prior when first at counter. So I had to wait another 10mins to enter all info and send to Dr office for authorization, you would think they would call the Dr office since I been there for over 30mins for CVS failure to properly process my script but they didnt, I didnt get no apologies for there lack of being thorough when working with customers. I will be moving all my families prescriptions to a pharmacy that takes very good care and appreciates the customers.

I live very close to this store and purposely travel farther for better quality and service. This time, I had forgotten a coupon at home for 30% off that was mailed to me. After I shopped, I brought back the receipt and the coupon and was told I cannot redeem the coupon. I would have returned my order or never shopped here in the first place if I knew the store would not allow me to use their coupon that they mailed to me. I will continue to avoid this store.

On hold for 45 minutes when calling to transfer a prescription to this pharmacy, then they hung up. Very clear from my experience and the many nightmare reviews that these people do not care at all and it’s best not to trust them with your medication.

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. Can’t get through to talk to anyone. Don’t have medication and have to go to different store to get it. Said pick up was ready and it wasn’t. Wouldn’t go there if my insurance didn’t require it!! Take the star away

customer service at all this CVS pharmacy at this location is horrible and rude on the phone after you have waiting for 30 minutes she tell you to call near by CVS to check and make sure your medication is in stock bc she is too busy to look up their number to call. My prescription is already been transferred from the Dyer CVS to this Munster location automatically since the Dyer location check and said this location have it in stock. If I can give it 0 star I could.

BOYCOTT CVS MINUTE CLINIC!!!I'd give this store no stars if I could. I called and was told if I came in I would be seen at the minute clinic. Upon arriving and entering info in kiosk I was told I'd have to come back even though what appeared to be a nurse and np/doctor who were not seeing anyone or doing much were there!I explained the call and told them I made a special trip feeling miserable and that it wouldn't take but a few minutes to no avail.I asked for a store manager and waited. No one showed. Their complete and utter disregard for my condition as a potential customer was beyond unprofessional.I went straight to community urgent care in st john and was in and out in 30 minutes.We have two ford plants in the area and I will let everyone know that they can't trust cvs!

Let me preface this by saying typically in the past I would leave mostly positive reviews and try to speak to the place directly about negative experiences as to not negatively impact their ratings. Also I have another account where I’m a local guide and I intentionally didn’t post my ratings from that profile because my goal isn’t to to be vindictive but make my concerns know and express my voice and thoughts on the matter. since the staff wasn’t willing to hear me, I decided that my voice still matters and I will voice it here.That said, I have used this pharmacy several times and especially more frequently over the past 8 mos.I overlooked the fact that I’m repeatedly asked things or for information that has been provided and should be on my profile as someone else mentioned.It’s as if this may be either a system or technology issue or staff . Either way I’ve have had a similar experience where I keep providing good RX or an insurance number that you’d think would be on profile after repeating it each one.I have had an instance where I had two profiles created and then data was erased in the merging of the two profiles.I’m not sure how much of this is in the staffs control . If it’s an attention to detail thing or need for investment in new systems . Either way, it’s annoying.But that wasn’t really the core of my problemThe core of my problem with this location is how I was treated the last two visits.The customer service there is really subpar but I tolerated it because it was convenient however I will no longer and after years of being a CVS customer after switching from Walgreens when I found better customer service with CVS, due to two women (techs and pharmacist) at this location, I will be taking my long standing business to a smaller pharmacy company.Before I go into greater detail about the experience, I will say that I have a background as a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician though I no longer practice but did for two years before going into business. I never treated a customer the way I experienced here. These women made me feel less than human and I will never tolerate that again.That said, my experience was this I called about filling a medication at this location prior to a trip. I learned that a CVS that I never filled with before misunderstood my calling and inquiring about whether or not they take my insurance for I was ready to fill it and at their location. I was not. I was calling different CVS stores to find out which one I could potentially switch to from this location however I never gave the green light to process any scripts. That said one of the other CVSs that I called began to fill the script.So while I was conducting research on which CVS I would switch to (no decision was yet made), my medication was in process at a CVS that I did not decide to switch to yet.By the time I discovered this, that location was closed.However, when this was discovered, I was trying to talk to the pharmacy technician and explain to her that I was in a dilemma because I was leaving town and I never granted permission for my meds to be filled elsewhere. She brushed me, my concerns, and needs off.

Extremely kind pharmacy staff that fills prescriptions in a timely manner. I recently transferred here from a Walgreens in Lansing, IL…. & I cannot express enough how nice this change has been. So from my personal experience, I highly recommend their pharmacy!

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever experienced! I am a diabetic and have now twice gone without my medications after being told my prescriptions would be refilled. I was at the pharmacy 2 days ago and was told at that time that my diabetic test strips would be Refilled. Now I get a text message telling me that my order is ready and when I got to the pharmacy I was told that there was no order for me And that they would have to get ahold of the doctor's office to get enough test strips for a 90 day supply since my insurance will only cover a 90 day supply. This has been the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with!

This is the worst pharmacy in the area. I called about a refill which they only filled 45 days for instead of the ordered 90 days eorth. I waited on hold for 5 minutes, Then hung up on . Called back, and the tech was incredibly rude, and essentially telling me I was wrong. I read the label , and proved I was right. Then she said "Bring it in." And promptly hung up on me. Every time we use this pharmacy, we say the same thing about their customer service. They suck!

On multiple occasions we have gone into this CVS and they have processed the wrong insurance card, after we told them several times to delete it off file. We end up having to go inside almost everytime and give them our insurance information all over again. Very frustrating.
