We've started coming to Ruler more often because of their wide selection of products and the quality of products. Employees are friendly and because the store isn't humongous, you can usually get in and out pretty quickly. Would recommend to anyone who likes quality items but doesn't want to bother searching around for coupons etc.

The manager of this store has restricted his employees to not open registers for any customers before 10am. I am a regular customer and have seen other customers with this same problem.For context, the mornings is the only time I have available to shop for my family. I came in shortly after 9am and bought $300+ worth of groceries. The cashier had to sit and watch me self check out and run out of space to put my groceries on the weighted side after scanning. The system throws a fit if it can't detect weight after you scan so need less to say this whole process was a headache and huge inconvenience to both me and the employee.I've seen elderly customers who had to leave their cart of groceries and walk out because they were too intimidated to use the self checkout and were refused help by opening a register.The manager has had this policy for a very long time and in their incompetency has still failed to see the problems it causes the customers and the employees that work for them.Self checkout should not be forced onto your customers if they don't want to use it. It is an option in every store EXCEPT this one.

Decided to start shopping here over the regular stores we shop at. Started off good. Good prices and wasn't packed. Today went in early because we had things to do.(always on a schedule) well we walked up to the register at 9:45. What do know the registers don't open until 10:00. So an employee pointed me in the direction of self check out. Wouldn't have an issue if self check out got you a discount or we did not have an over the top full cart..(We pay with cash so money was earned not given) I'm not a grocery clerk. The best part was how 4 employees stood around self check out watching all the customers like they were thieves. Watched us struggle with the process since we have not been trained. So yes worse experience ever at a grocery store. If you go make sure it's after 10am unless working for free is your thing..

It has been awhile but my sister are I was not very happy with either the products or the working ones. Rude, and literally told us to move boxes and what we were looking for should be there but o well 🤷if not. Might have low prices but they need happier employees.

Amazing prices, great selection, friendly people and they even give you fuel points with your Kroger card! I come here every week! Who can match 68 cents a gallon milk and 38 cents a dozen eggs?

I shop here all the time. Very clean store, but there is a bird problem currently. They fly overhead and eat the rice and grapes. I've seen several male employees ignore the problem, even after this has been pointed out to them. Summer, shift lead, was AWESOME when I went to talk to her about the problem. She was super friendly, apologetic, and took the time to explain that the birds were coming in through a gap in the dock door. These men could learn a lesson from Summer-THAT IS HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS. Well done, Summer :)

The cashier that I just witnessed between 5:30 and 6 on January 4, 2022 Got very rude with a young man and shook her price gun at him as if she was trying to hit him. This young man was very polite and apologizing to this woman for her hateful attitude towards him. Do better people.

You pay a 25 cent deposit for a cart. There is a lot of good quality Kroger products for a super cheap price. The selection is very limited. Produce is not the best looking. Lot of off brand items, but a great value. The older customer service guy that rang me out was exceptional. He goes above and beyond to help with anything with a smile on his face. Plastic bags cost 10 cents a peice. Very understandable to keep costs low and good for the environment. You can really measure your savings here.

Great place to get your groceries. Kroger brands are some of the best out there and compete with major brands very well. The prices are so much better than anyplace in town. Quick check-outs. If you have never shopped here, I highly recommend giving it a try!

They remodeled since the last time we were there. It is a lot more streamline with the set up and they also added a self checkout which is nice. Prices are really good as well! You get WAY more for your money here than any other place grocery shopping for sure!

Clean store, friendly staff, and decent selection. You won't find a bunch of name brands here but the Kroger brand foods have been really good, I found. This is definitely the cheapest place to get milk.

Great pricing. Nice variety. My idea of a discount grocery store is Ruler. My only negative would be that some boxed items had cuts from where the box cutter used to cut open the big boxes cut too deep. Definately will be back.

The adds were not out again had to hunt someone. Some items no price had to go t register. But it was stocked better than before employees very helpful especially MaDonna.

A great place to get low-price food - some of the cheapest canned options in town. This store is a lot like Aldi. The only thing lacking in comparison is the produce section in my opinion, but there's still a lot of good options. I save a lot of money shopping here.Note: It's under renovation as of 9/16/18 but is still open.

Since the remodel the place looks so much better on the inside and they have a much better selection now!!! SUPER cheap. Im a college student so thats a really important factor, and I love it there. Wish I had one back home, doesnt compare with Aldi's higher prices at all

Ruler is cool if you're just picking up a few basics. You'll find good prices on Kroger brands, but you won't find a large selection of various foods. The no frills approach that means lower prices means you'll have to return your own cart if you want your coin back, you'll have to buy bags or bring your own.

Decent prices, but the store itself just felt like a massive pit of depression; very dim lighting, seemed like the store was just not properly arranged/organized, and there were shopping carts (many of them busted) scattered all over the parking lot.

a black lady working self check out was extremely rude. no one was at the registers so we went to self checkout. and she scolded us for having too many items at self check out but there was no one workin the registers. what else were we supposed to do.

They got deals and steals on tons of food items. The selection seems to rotate through pretty quickly. It is always packed and the cashiers are busting their butts to get people through the lines quickly... but they never have enough lines open.

Great prices, just don't forget a quarter to unlock a cart. Get REAL tired of that damn whistling noise though. If you shop here you know what I'm talking about. It's almost bad enough to make me quit shopping here.

Ruler has very reasonable prices. Most products are great, however, produce typically needs to be consumed right away, as it doesn't seem to have a great shelf life, maybe not real fresh.

The new remodel really makes Ruler Foods look more friendly and upscale while still being incredibly cheap and warehouse-style bulk boxes. The workers were friendly, store was clean, and a heck of a variety

A lot of inexpencive foods. Nice arrangement of isles & items. Occasionally items are out of stock. I can usually find what I want or need for my weeks meals and nutritious snacks of course someer just taste great. Like black walnut icecream for what? $1.99 I paid $4.99 at Marsh when they were open. Thanks Ruler foods.Ms. V.Myers

This store's items contain Kroger's branded items. Tremendous savings on eggs and milk. Fresh meat and pre packaged meat's prices are what you find in Kroger's stores. You have to sack your own groceries. The carts are acquired inside the store and are unlocked by depositing a quarter. When the carts are returned, the method to lock in the cart is cumbersom. You have to exit the store by the check out as the main entrance can only be accessed from the outside

Always has really good prices on everything. Thanks to this place Walmart has had to lower their prices to keep us all going back. So it works out well.

I know we are short four grocery stores in Muncie, but the shelves were empty and stock sitting everywhere. I love Ruler but was totally disappointed. It seemed every store I visited yesterday was in the same shape????. Hard on the shopper.

It isn't a pretty store, but it is clean, cheap, and everything I have tried had been good (it is mainly Kroger store brand). No better place to get essentials like milk and eggs and frozen pizzas

The store was messy. Shelves were not well stocked. There was a lady out at the shopping carts scamming people out of their quarters, I don't like shopping where you have to worry about fights, arguments & scams going on, the police were called.
