The self check our girl was very nice and helpful. I just don't see what all the hype Is about, maybe I just didn't go at the right time but there wasn't really too much on sale and Somethings cost more here than at the other places. It's not a bad grocery store I just wouldn't make It my go to store.

I really prefer Payless over other grocery stores. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. The store is always clean. The shelves are always stocked and pricing is very affordable! I can't say enough good things about this grocery store. We have 2 locations and both are fantastic. The lines always move quickly and they always have more than one check out open at any given time! The parking lot is always clean and the carts are always brought in you don't see a ton of them just all over the parking lot or the cart caddy so full you can't put your cart where it belongs! There are not huge holes or speed bumps all over either. I def recommend this grocery chain. Very very affordable prices also!!! I will def be keeping Payless as my primary grocery store over all others!!

I have just gotta say, I have NEVER, in my entire life, ever been treated so god awful like I was last nite!!! I came into this Payless SuperMarket @ 715 S. Tillotson Ave. Muncie, Indiana 47304 at 9:52pm, yes I knew they were closing in 8 minutes, but I had to get a few things for my mother who has been on hospice for the past 6 months now, remind u, I had taken a taxi cab there ok ,well anyways all’s I was gettin her cereal,milk,ice cream,pop,water,lunch meat,bread,a case of water,fruit cups,and pudding cups ok, well as soon as I walked in and up to get a cart, every employee was standing at the checkout lines. Everyone of them said simultaneously,“We close in 8 minutes”, I smiled and politely said, “ Yes I know, I’ve only gotta grab a few things” , well, b4 I could even make 1 complete circle around the store , not hitting any Isles in between, just goin around the outer isle, the manager came to me 7 times ,within those 8 minutes, giving me a count down til they closed. Every time she would tell me it was closer til closing, I was telling her that I only had a few more things to grab and I’d b done, I’m so I was hurrying,and that I’m sorry!!! Well I was comin around to head to the register to checkout, all’s I needed last was pudding, this manger said real real rude and hateful, “ My guys r working overtime now bc of u, I said u need to get up there and empty ur cart now, I told u we were closing, and now we’ve have been closed for,”remind u I pulled away from there at 10:10pm, “20 minutes”, so I replied to her, “Wow, I’m sorry, I had to get just a few things for my mother, who is in the nursing home, I’m sorry, my mom has had no food for the past few days bc where my sister had her at, their wasn’t any food what so ever, I had been waiting for my food stamps to hit my card yesterday so I could go to the store for her, I couldn’t afford to go to any more other stores bc I was in a taxi, well anyways the manager told me she didn’t have to cash me out if she didn’t want to, since they were done closed, I kept apologizing to her but she kept being so rude yelling at me tellin me just get up there and unload my cart she’s ready to get outta there, I told her I needing pudding and that was the last thing, omg, this lady started yelling at me even more now, to the point, my feelings was really hurt, but now it’s turning into being angry. I couldn’t believe someone really was that angry bc I was spending money in their store. Remind u it’s only 10:05pm rite now, she then told me, “I said get ur cart up there now and unload it, I guess I will go get pudding for u, what kind do u want, I said actually I wanted a couple different kinds and a couple each of them plz… oh wow that was entirely way to much for her bc she had it by then I guess Bc when she came up to the register she threw the pudding down on the conveyor belt a couple had hit the floor, I was shocked , that someone really was acting like i was the biggest problem that she had ever came across. She then said once again, “ u know, I don’t have to ring u up u know,” , by then I had had enough, I couldn’t take it anymore, I was about to explode and flip out, but I’m really proud of my self bc, I just grabbed my reusable bags I had brought with me , and grabbed my purse and said, “ u know what lady, ur rite , u don’t have to ring me up, I honestly have never been treated so badly for spending money in their store… NEVER , and I walked out, I said I’m sure Walmart will b a whole lot nicer to me than all of u have been, I’m outta here… and I walked out.. got in my taxi… knowing I really really really needed that food so badly, but I left it, of course I didn’t go to Walmart bc I couldn’t afford to take the cab clear to Walmart .. bc that was another 10 bucks , so I stopped at cvs, which was another 10 bucks to stop, so I could spend 170.00 on pop,milk,cereal,oats,sugar,pudding cups, and fruit cups… that’s all I got was 8 things…. But I had to spend 170.00 just so I could take my mother somethin, since she had absolutely not nothing… I’m just really shocked man…

Pay less is a nice grocery store it is new to Muncie but they have good prices on their food and produce. The pharmacy I would highly recommend to everyone. The staff at the pharmacy are very courteous and polite They always try to make your experience the best they can to their abilities. I never run into issues when it's time to refill a prescription. They are very informational and helpful and they do send text messages reminding you when your prescriptions are ready for pickup or they're ready to refill!

The bakery made my granddaughters birthday cake. It was so cute, exactly what she wanted. Decorated by hand. So pleased with the way it looked and tasted. It was very moist and not super sweet. Perfect!2022 another great bday cake! Super moist and fluffy! Best ever.

Pay less is super handy. It's a wonderful grocery store. But they also sell prepared food. They oddly enough have AMAZING sushi. Recommend anyone get it.

Just left the Tillotson Ave Pay Less without my groceries. Inconsiderate customer in the self check line with two overflowing carts being checked out by attendant overlooking the self check line. I had four items, the register flagged me for some reason so I needed assistance from attendant. After waiting a couple minutes I decided if leave. This is when another employee came over to assist but instead he stated griping about me being impatient! This infuriated me beyond what should happen for four grocery items!!!Why this young man had to complain about me to attendant and other customers is being my comprehension. I'm so furious that he felt the need to degrade me when I was simply in a hurry on a very hot day.Hopefully I'll never have to deal with this again.

Nice clean store. Fresh veggies are usually pretty well stocked, but bagged salads seem to be dated and scarce. They do have good meat choices. Prices are decent if you hit sale items, and the app saves me even more. Be sure to use their card (their app is easy for that and clipping coupons), and they will also mail you coupons tailored to you, which I love!

I’ve been shopping at Kroger/Pay Less off and on for years using their grocery pick up. Several times over the last couple months I couldn’t get to the exact pick up time I set for different reasons, life happens. On these occasions I’ve received very rude phone calls telling me I should have been there at this time and they’re about to cancel my order. I was only a couple hours late and it wasn’t busy at all but the lady putting in the groceries is incredibly rude and short with , slamming my doors. I think this is ridiculous. Every other store I’ve shopped at (Aldi, Meijer, Target, Walmart) doesn’t get so bent out of shape if you aren’t there RIGHT at your pickup time. I spend $1500 a month on groceries for my large family and I won’t be shopping at Pay Less anymore. I’ll be shopping at Meijer from now on.

Payless is clean well stocked and many things on sale.the general manager was nice and Linda in customer service was fabulous and Tyler in the meat was helpful carrying out my turkeys and helping put them in my car and pop was on sale greatly best aid I have

I like this store. I like the whole Kroger company. But this store now only offers the huge carts. I know for sure that many shoppers prefer the smaller carts. Also the self checks are never cleaned. They are pretty gross.

Prices are competitive and the selection seem to encompasses a good variety of products. However, the number of items on the shelf is noticeably fewer.The customer service center goes a move and beyond in responding to and resolving customer concerns.The store continues to offer a great selection in all departments and has an adequate number of checkout lanes open.

If you don't have a payless card, this place can get very expensive. Typically, they have great deals on bulk meat. Love shopping here.Within the past year, you guys have sucked at having carts for customers. Also, you used to have black plastic baskets to carry around, but now those are gone too! This is very frustrating when you have to prioritize what you can get from the grocery store because you can only carry so much. You have to know this is and has been a problem for a long time, so why have you not worked towards fixing it? Should we just assume we need to stop by the cart coral and get a cart before we come into the store?

Not all items were stocked, but I assume that's due to the winter storm. Aisles were easy to navigate and clearly marked. You can access good sales with a Kroger loyalty card, and you can easily sign up for a card at checkout. Employees were friendly and wearing appropriate PPE.

This grocery store is a decent store to shop at. It has plenty of selections of items and is clean and has nice helpful workers. Some of their sales are good and worth going for but I don't like their deal they do with buy like 5 or 10 items from a list-doesnt have to be the same can be any of the items in the sale list and then you get them all for an even lower price than even the regular sale. But at times it is confusing and I have really looked and paid attention and bought some of the items coz I needed them and then get to the register and I have like 1 wrong item like the size is wrong etc. So don't get the bigger sale. I think some of their food prices are good but I do think they are a bit high and I can get a lot of items somewhere else cheaper.

I know it's not there problem but the shelves are getting bare it hard to get what you go after especially in the dairy isles. Slim Pickens. Prices have went up as well just like they have everywhere else, again that's happening every where.

Basically a Kroger, even your Kroger card will work here. They have a pretty decent price on meats and the like, but lack certain more niche items, while simultaneously having some rather odd, uncommon ones. They also have a weird lack of basically any sour candy aside from two exceptions. They have Jones soda, though, which can be hard to find. Overall a pretty decent place.

The people are exceptionally nice and give you the best price without a digital coupon if you ask.. also the products are exceptional and well priced. The produce is fresh and marked down often for.99 cents. I love organic!!! A+++++++++

Not very busy very few actual cashiers focus on self checkout. Longer wait at pharmacy due to people asking for assistance and not knowing if a prescription was called in. And asking questions that should have been directed to personal physician.

Operated by Kroger, this place has great produce. You can find some good deals on some items, while others are a little pricey. I prefer Meijer if I have a big list, but Payless is great for a quick trip. I've found they rely too much on the self-check outs, especially in the evenings.

The store is fine, but I have a serious problem when I see 9 people walking around without masks. I spoke to the manager and his reply was, "Only a manager can say something if he sees it.". He WAS a manager and just had to walk around to "see it", but apparently he was too scared or too lazy.
