I’m not sure why there is never more than one person to check you out at the pharmacy especially when there is a line of almost 15 people. It took me over 45 minutes just to pick up my prescription, mind you I always do the pre-check out so all you have to do is scan a barcode. The cashier needs to refer people to the pharmacist when they have questions instead of holding up the line. What’s the point in having that window if you never send anyone to it?! I will be leaving this review everywhere I can, it’s completely unnecessary to cause people to wait that long.

My Daughter was asked to pay 3,000 dollars for seizure medications she had not only had to call daily to get filled. Also had to call the doctors office daily until today. She has went without her medication since July!!!! When she was told she needed 3,000 dollars to get a life sub staining medication. If something happens before she gets her appointment in March. I will have no other choice but hold this pharmacy responsible!!! I too have seizures and my pharmacist helps make my medication affordable because we could have a seizure and DIE!!! Epilepsy isn’t just Epilepsy!!!! I don’t even feel as if they deserve one star!!!You and your Pharmacists should be ashamed of your lack of knowledge or compassion!!!!

This pharmacy is always so busy and they have the pay online option so you can just go in and pick up your prescription but today I was told I still had to wait in the line of 8 people and when I asked what the purpose of “express” paying online was, I was told it was faster because they don’t have to ask for my date of birth. What?

Went and picked up my medications yesterday. They gave my hubby all but one medication. I called and they said I was allergic to one. I said no, I spoke with a lady and told her I'm not allergic to this medication. She said ok we will fill it. It wasn't. I called them yesterday and they said okay we will fill it. I go in to pick it up and the lady said it will take 20 minutes because the pharmacist needed to check it. Not sure why if it's filled. Again, wasting my gas. After I pick up this medication, I'll be transferring all my medications to Walmart.. will not ever go back to this pharmacy as I have to wait weeks to get my medications that are called in by a Dr and they never call me to tell me that there are issues with my medications I need daily. Don't recommend this pharmacy. Worst one I've ever been too.

I’m a student at bsu and come here for refills but the service is absolutely terrible. No one answers the phones I’ve called three days in a row and they all just hang up. Not to mention there’s only one register open in the store at all times. So going in person to address an issue or concern is pointless unless you have 40min to wait in line.

I have used them for a couple years but I haven't had issues until this past year. Always have issues with my prescriptions. Never ready after the doctor calls it in. My daughter is on AdHd medicine and I have 2 refills before we have the doctors checkup. They always fight with me saying I never have another refill. They always have to call over another person to verify it. Last time I found out it wasn't in stock until I got there. No notification to let me know it wasn't in stock. She told me it wouldn't be ready till after 3 the next day. I show up that evening and it's still not ready. They had to get it ready while I waited with my hyper kids. I also had another script that wasn't in stock and they told me to check CVS. I am transferring over, it's too stressful dealing with these issues every month.

Twice now I've called the pharmacy for information and been given explicitly wrong answers. The first time I asked if I could get a COVID booster shot at the same time as my young daughter got her first dose, so that she wouldn't feel alone. They told me outright that that wouldn't be a problem, but when we got there, I was told point blank "We don't do that" - so not only was I made a liar to my daughter, but she was IMMEDIATLEY way more stressed out. After that they didn't give her an appointment for a second dose; when I called in they said "You can bring her in any time between 3 and 6 on this date". When we got there they said "Oh no, she has to have an appointment." Luckily we were able to get her in the next day, but once again, they added a lot of stress to an already stressful situation. The people that I've actually dealt with have usually been nice enough, they just need to get their s*** together and not give out incorrect information.

I’ve sent my scripts here for about three years and finally transferred today after an extremely embarrassing and frustrating situation. When I was pregnant, my prenatals were rarely filled on time even though I’d get a notification from the pharmacy saying they would be filled at a particular day and time, and this has happened with several other prescriptions as well. When I was getting birth control through them, multiple times I’d show up to get my prescription, and they wouldn’t even have it in stock even though their app would say it was ready which is why I have always picked up or requested at least 5-7 days in advance with them. I am currently prescribed a controlled substance for my ADD, and the pharmacist as well as a tech have told me for three days my script would be filled “tomorrow.” Come to find out, he had called my doctor’s office and said he didn’t want to fill it because I had had two early refill requests that were submitted and okayed by my primary physician - one for loss of medication and the other for an out of town trip where there would be a lapse in my medication. In the past three days, I’ve had a tech pretty much hang up on me and when I requested to speak to the pharmacist he told me twice - on two separate days - that my refill would be filled the next day all while he never had any intention of filling the script even with an additional doctor’s note sent saying to fill it. I am screened by my physicians office, and they know I am taking my medication properly. I have a great relationship with my primary physician, and he knows that I am not trying to obtain additional prescriptions. While I absolutely understand the moral obligation of the pharmacist and his right to refusal - I am frustrated that I was told on two separate occasions, by him, that it would be filled “tomorrow.” Instead he contacted my doctors office, who contacted me and said he didn’t want to fill the medication, and I wish that he had just told me that when we spoke so that I could have it transferred elsewhere at that point. There is a solid case for the abuse of ADD medications in this county, but this pharmacy has treated me like a crackhead over my refill that I am due for. I understand federal guidelines and rules of controlled substances, but things DO happen to totally normal people hence two prescriptions that had been sent with the total approval of my physician. I am not abusing or selling my medication, and this was pretty much what was insinuated and made me feel very embarrassed to even have to continue to be in correspondence with this pharmacy. I called my physician today to have all of my prescriptions sent elsewhere. I’ve tried to give Meijer the benefit of the doubt because I know they get busy - but outside of this situation, this pharmacy rarely has my prescriptions (prenatal vitamins, birth control, etc.) filled on time regardless of what their app says or the notifications that they themselves send. They act annoyed when I call, but I have two small children - so it’s annoying for me to drive all the way to the pharmacy for a prescription that isn’t ready which is why I DO call in advance. Techs are often rude, service is slow, and I felt the pharmacist didn’t have the confidence to be forthcoming with me. Save yourself the grief and switch to a pharmacy with better customer service and transparency about when you can actually pick up your prescriptions.

I have used Meijer Pharmacy since the store opened. However, I have had terrible experiences in the last year and specifically with one pharmacist. He is rude, talks over you, and does not speak to customers respectfully when trying to correct errors made with prescriptions or charges. I love the convenience of the one stop option, as I do all my grocery shopping at Meijer and have since the store opened. Cashiers, employees in the deli and bakery department at Muncie Meier are extremely helpful, polite, and kind - going above and beyond - and the greeters are also so welcoming. I appreciate the diversity shirts and smiles. It is obvious that the employees are happy in their work environment and they take pride in working at Meijer - this is not true in the pharmacy. Today's interaction with the pharmacy was unsatisfactory, and I will be switching pharmacies if I have to endure another bad experience. The pharmacy has had many negative reviews lately and hopefully services will improve if customers continue to make their complaints known.

I don’t even mind how rude they are. Coughing into my prescription without a mask on? Skipping on the people in line with appointments for the booster to do the drive thru. The place is a failed endeavor. I wouldn’t go there again if the prescriptions were free. 1st bad review of my life I left.

Our doctor prescribed a motion sickness patch for my husband to use on our first ocean cruise. On Wednesday, Meijer pharmacy sent us a text saying the Rx was backordered and would be available on Saturday. Today, Saturday, we received another text saying the Rx was still out of stock! Said it would be available on Tue...we LEAVE on Monday! Surely another Meijer pharamacy has this Rx! We feel very let down by Meijer.
