Gloria is THE bird whisperer. This business is just as much of a passion for her than it is a profession. She trained under the best avian vet in the country. She's been caring for birds for over 40 years and takes amazing care of them. She cleans their cages and lets the birds free fly daily. There's not a soul I would trust with my baby bird like I trust gloria.

Amy's Birds is a very Sophisticated and professional Parrot service center, Never have i ever taken my Bird to someone for grooming and he be handled with such love and care.I love love love Amy's Birds, I trust the guidance that I receive on my birds and if I have questions they are only a phone call away. Its a amazing feeling knowing you have a expert in the Industry living in Indiana.

I love Gloria. She'll tell you how it is even if you don't want to hear it. And if you can't handle her, then you sure as heck can't handle a bird. She often rescues and rehabilitates birds to be comfortable and trusting companions. Her #1 priority is the birds well-being, so she won't just sell to anybody. She knows the time and commitment that goes into being a bird owner and sees first hand how many people are not willing to commit, which results in neglected birds that end up being surrendered, sold, or just given away.She's a bird person, and only bird people will get it. It's a passion.I am so thankful to have stumbled upon this place. I wish I lived closer so I could learn from her all day. She's a bird genius.

I don’t usually post public reviews but this place is wonderful. I’ve seen a lot of “animal whisperers” on tv and such but this was unbelievable. Although Gloria doesn’t claim to be a “whisperer”, she certainly has that touch and more. When she asked my bird to “turn around”, he turned around. She didn’t use anything but her voice and he obeyed. Next she asked him to lift his wing (I didn’t expect my little parrot to understand) but he sure did. He even lifted it “a little more” like she asked. And during our visit, a guy brought us bottled water.I only live 35 miles away but I’d move into her backyard if she’d let me!😄 In fact I’d probably be fine in a tree nearby. The overall positive energy is worth the visit.These people are wonderful.

I'm not sorry to bust everyone's bubble, but this establishment is not interested in helping all birds. My wife and I are trying to find an older mate/friend for our Male cockatiel. We are his 4th owners, through no fault of his own. My wife's mother passed away, which is how we came to be his owner. The owner prior to her, had COPD, and was told by the doctor to give him away. They found him in a park. He had flown down and landed on the man's shoulder. We love our little buddy and just want to find him an appropriate friend/mate. We have called many places and made several emails. Never has my wife been treated rudely until today. Gloria's husband told my wife, the first time she called, that they had 3 older female cockatiels, but that due to age, she probably would not want to sell them. He asked my wife to call back and speak to Gloria. When she called back Gloria was short, rude, condescending, and lied but stating they had no cockatiels. And her business is only open until 4:30 as long as she is not babysitting. I don't think she deserves the 1 star rating. Shameful!

I called before I drove to the store to confirm they were open,not only was the owner very nice she spent over 3 hours with myself,my 9 year old son & 88 year old Grandmother. She was VERY nice ,really knows a lot about birds.Will not sell to just anyone they make sure that people are educated & are a good match for her bird's or any bird for that matter.I will be sending many people here...

I happened upon the place and the door was open, no problem visiting. AMAZING # of birds. I was shocked to find a place like this in Mitchell IN. Immaculately clean cages and beautiful healthy birds!

Very very very rude, was told we couldn't come inside because it was all by appointment only! I seen no where on the door or website that visiting was by APPOINTMENT ONLY! I was also told to come back with a mask even thought no one present in the building was wearing one!! I'll never go back I'll take my business else where!
