Very unhappy about this particular store. I've experienced different gripes when I shop But today took me over the top of patience. 1. 4 electric carts, none charged. Asked for help...treated like a moron...he then went back and laughed as the staff watched me. He came back again when it didn't move. I Got off, gathered groceries. Over in bakery area as I headed to check out. Cart stopped. Haledon young man just coming on duty. He pushed cart to checkout as I limped behind. Checked out and had no helper loading acart for me to exit. I attained a cart, loaded just check out groceries and limped to front parking slot in handicapped spot outside.

The store itself is fine and stocked, the employees are all friendly. But the bathroom is DISGUSTING. The smell of urine hits you before you even open the door. The floor had puddles of I don't know what on it. Each stalls toilet paper holder was broken so the toilet paper was just sitting there and one of the rolls was wet!!!! The toilets were filthy and if I could've avoided using it, I would have. Even the sinks were stained and gross. I felt gross leaving it.

Over the past two years, we've been disappointed (often) by this store's produce section. They were either out of a product or had old looking produce items. It seems to be improving, so I've updated my rating.

We ran in to Kroger on Merrifield for a few things. There was no one in the deli. (They are short handed and the deli person was on break).We stood around waiting for about 20 minutes.There was about 3 lbs of shaved ham laying on the meat slicer the whole time we were standing there.Now I know it can sit out for about 2 hours before it spoils, and maybe they have no intention of selling that ham, but I don't think I will be using the deli any time soon.

I enjoy shopping at Kroger. It's just small enough to still give you the hometown feel, yet big enough to have variety. I particularly like the sale's they offer regularly. Been shopping at Kroger for over 20 year's. Thank you Kroger, here's to another 20 year's!🙂

My elderly mother went to this store today to get her groceries. This is where she always gets her groceries and has done so for years. Today they wouldn’t except a check that her bank gave her after she had fraud on her bank account. They had to order her new checks so they gave her 5 checks that she can use until her checks come in the mail. My mom called me all upset about what happened. That she had to leave her groceries at the store. There is no kindness left in this world. Especially from the store manager named Samantha. She was rude on the phone with me. She has no respect for the elderly.

The only Kroger in Mishawaka/South Bend area where employees are still courteous, and ask if customers need help. Then go the extra mile to achieve the customers goal. The store itself is also above average in display and cleanliness.

Hey Kroger, after I've spent 20 minutes in your dirty store and another 5 waiting in line, it would be cool if you didn't ring up sale items as full price.I went back around photographing the sale prices and then waited another 10 minutes for a cashier so I could get her to fix the prices.When I pointed out the problem to her she said, "I have to hit this button"So, you expect people to hit pay while the price is wrong and THEN you'll deign to give customers their real total?I hope your stock price crashes and you get bought out by Martins. At least then you'd have a decent bakery.

I have shopped at three different Kroger's, and this one is the best. Yes, there are issues, but keeping employees seems to be difficult. The regular employees that stay have always been friendly and helpful. The Manager is hands on and I see him working on the floor stocking everytime I shop. Stock is an issue, and employees will order items you need, but it's corporate that rejects items or limits the quantity to be delivered.Several elderly ladies at a retirement community live 3 blocks from a Kroger, but drive to this store because they like it better. I certainly hope if they close stores this won't be one of them.When people go back to work and they have the employees needed ( especially deli) this store will have happier customers.

Why are your employees turning away customers before your "closing time"? I was turned away by a cart keeper 3 minutes before closing & he told me that the "registers were already broken down & there was nothing he could do" as I proceed to watch TWO customers with carts full of groceries exiting the building as I pull away. It took me minutes to walk back to my vehicle & pull away as others were being served. I won't come back here. I came for convenience but you can't compare your prices to others. Deplorable employees- lazy like everyone else. Any managers that I've ever had would have put me in my place right then & never would have turned me away.

I’ve been shopping at Krogers all of my life. Krogers first bought A&P on W.4th st in the 60’s-70’s. I was there the first week they opened the 1st store on Merrifeild in Mishawaka. I think that was in the 70’s-80’s. Now they have a secondary store in merrifeild plaza. Which now old itself. Now after all this time. I’m told I’m not entitled to the sale prices without going on line, going through there sales ad and downloading the sale items I want. Are you kidding me,Why do I need to jump thru hoops to get what other stores give their customers. So much for customer appreciation. Talk about being manipulated, by a company. I feel very insulted and disrespected after 50-60 years of being a customer

This was my first and last time using the Kroger Pharmacy. As someone who has needed prescription medicine for years I have never received such poor customer service from a pharmacy technician as I did today. My prescription was sent 4 days early after speaking with a technician on the phone this past Monday to ensure it would be filled before leaving town for business. I even call early today to confirm it would be filled and received confirmation via phone that it would be ready after 5:30pm. I was not able to arrive until 7:50 pm, but that was 10 minutes before the pharmacy was scheduled to close. Plenty of time to pay for my RX and head home. Essentially I was told my doctor had neglected to put a note when sending my RX stating to fill on 4/22 because the patient is going out of town on 4/23. The technician was fully aware of all of my situation when i arrived. I was told the phone confirmation means nothing, the fact that she had full knowledge of the situation means nothing. The fill date of 4/16 from Krogers Postal Prescription Service means nothing. She justified her reasoning by admitting they made no attempt to contact my doctor or myself for 4 full business days, because they were waiting for the doctor to call them???? It was about 8:03 pm by the time I received all this information and was refused my medication. In an attempt to find a solution I asked if I/they could contact my doctor to re-confirm as the service I pay for is concierge providing me with 24 hour access to my doctor for situations such as this. I was told and I quote "we are closed". For the safety of an patient in need of prescription medication (some are far more important than my own i.e blood pressure medication, etc....) this "Pharmacy" should seriously consider never reopening if their policy allows for such negligence and lack of professionalism.

This is a pretty good Kroger. They are well stocked and it's easy to shop there. Cashiers are friendly and efficient..

Most of the staff is nice. The store is never stocked properly. I visited the store at least 3 times last week hoping that the soups in the deli would be restocked, however, no such luck. A lot of things on the shelf were empty as well as in the freezer cases. This happens often at this location. I have started going a little further to Meijers just to ensure I get everything I need.

People who work here are ALWAYSfriendly, courteous, helpful! The plastic grocery bags are, in my opinion, THE WORST OF ALL THE STORES IN THIS AREA! They tear so easily! I also am short, so have trouble getting anything down from the top three shelves. I LOVE the sewn cloth bags!! They hold up wonderfully and are beautiful to boot!

This store has gone downhill so much they never have anything stocked no matter what you are looking for it’s always out of stock and what they do have on the shelves is always name brand stuff I feel they are doing it intentionally to force people to buy the higher priced items milk is always more expensive here compared to literally any other Kroger in the area

Stopped in at deli, stood there with another customer for almost ten minutes with no clerk anywhere in deli depth. They called for him 3 times on loudspeaker. When he did show up, I asked for some boneless wings as I pointed at them behind the glass. He said, "well, because of the time it is now, the deli is closed...and I watched him throw out the chicken. I will never shop at this store ever again, he's a worthless piece of s$%#...

Good location, close to lots of neighborhoods. Much better since the rehab. Prices are good, especially if you use the app and Kroger card. Only dowsides in my experience are lack of stock on sale items and more staff on the floor for customer service.

This store has a very nice and friendly staff serving you. I especially appreciate the meat department as they have a good selection of various packaged sizes. The store is clean and easy to shop. Kroger has very good prices on groceries.

I love this Kroger. The employees are nice and the pharmacy folks are helpful. The problem is there is never any food on the shelves anymore. It doesn't make any sense.

I go to this Kroger to get my check cashed so I can put it into my bank account and every single time I go in to do that the office is closed. It doesn’t matter the time of day I go they are always closed. The ones that know how to do the office is always the ones saying they’re not open. I get that you’re under staffed right now but if you tell me that the office would be open in 10-20 minutes but then turn around and say that they won’t open for the whole day, then you better believe I’m going to be angry. My step dad had to be the one to tell you that if I don’t cash the check then you have to put 2 shopping carts full of groceries ( including frozen food and raw meat) away by yourself. That’s when you agreed not when I asked! Not when I said I needed the money that day to pay a bill. But when you were basically forced by my dad.

Helpful, friendly neighborhood store. Actually will assist customers in many ways. Staff are present in department's and offer help regularly. Clean, tidy, recently reorganized and had maps plus extra staff around to help customers with transition. Pharmacy is wonderful, actually know my name and hours for it are good. Only thing it's missing is a Kroger gas station. Deli choices seem a bit limited at times. Shop there weekly.

To hear that they take 1$ away from employees for not having the jab is absolutely disappointing. I will no longer be shopping here.They don’t have many organic options anyway. So besides the convenience of the location they won’t be missed by us.

I feel I was lied to by the staff regarding payment options. My bank was having an issue with there processing of debit card payments. The checker in a booming voice stated that the transaction would not process, as if my account was insufficient, which I new was not the case, and which I confirmed at the counter. I called an they requested that Kroger run the payment as a credit card instead of debit card and it would process. Kroger attendant said they cannot do it. They sent me to the bank to withdrawal the money, where I shared this story. The teller said she shops at the Kroger and has had this issue from time to time and she has had the option of having the service team process it as a credit card. I feel I was given the run around unneccesarily. I spent 40 minutes jockeying back and forth from the store to the bank and back to the store to stand in line to claim my groceries. The staff at this store seems to change quite frequently. The Merrifield store is poorly lit and less clean. The produce is less than average. Sale items are poorly restocked.
