I just wanted to stop by and thank Dr. Webster Dr. Shockley, and all the cool a$$ girls for saving our families Christmas!! Our family cat Griffey had something very traumatic happen. I don’t know if it was a car that hit him or this little brat in our neighborhood that might’ve did something really stupid to hurt him. But he was on his deathbed. He had surgery on Wednesday. It was a very rough few days after. I honestly didn’t expect him to make it but somehow he got through it. He’s finally eating and drinking again like normal and hanging out with us instead of hiding. This happened the Friday before Christmas so we had to take him to an emergency 24 hour vet in fishers and they said it was going to cost around $5000. Dr. Webster saved his life and saved our Christmas for way cheaper than that and I can’t express how grateful and appreciative and happy we all are!!!! I wish there were more people in this world like Lexi and Dr Shockley!!! They honestly seem to actually love their jobs and love animals and want to help these animals and families Not just in it for the money. God bless you all!!! Great prices, great staff, great way of explaining things to me. Took Hobbes in on Wednesday 745 and was done by Wednesday 3pm. Definitely recommend to anyone needing shots, spayed, neutered etc.

I haven't been here yet as I'm fairly new to town but have heard great reviews from people in town and will be visiting them soon, my granddaughter just got a kitten we need to get fixed and I have a Chihuahua due for shots. I'm hoping the great things I've heard are true but I'm sure they are, Middletown people are very old school and friendly. I love living here.

Literally the greatest vet I have ever taken my animals too. Dr. Shockley is the sweetest and most caring doc around, actually listening to the concerns u have! And there’s a vet tech I believe her name is Eva, and she’s absolutely amazing so sweet and gentle with my dogs. Spanky loves going in and seeing the ladies in the office😊

Be advised that this vet (no longer Dr. Shockley who has retired) will charge you a no show fee if you miss an appointment, which in my case was the entire cost of the visit of $45. I did not sign a contractual agreement committing me to this amount beforehand so when I challenged the office person and quipped her on it, she told me I could speak with the vet about the charge. This was after waiting almost an hour and a half three weeks before that for boosters. Obviously, this place can afford to have someone miss a $45-5 minute puppy vax appointment. They can barely keep up with the business they have and then have the audacity to make me pay for a visit I admittedly missed. I choose quality and customer service over cost. Taking my business elsewhere.

My mother really needs a great doctor to examine and care for her little Pomeranian. This last ver she took him too would not examine him.he wants her to video her little dog on how he walks and gets around and text him with it. He thinks mom only wants him to just put him on meds. None of this makes since. This vets name is Dr Smiley we are very upset over his manner.we need a good trusting Dr and staff who truly cares for our fur babies.. your reviews sound wonderful and promising.

Do not go to Middletown Animal Hospital! They do not do thorough exams. My cat was there 3 weeks ago for a check up and distended belly. My husband said the female doctor said she was probably just fat. Last Thursday evening she had stopped urinating. I took her to Northwood in Anderson. They are expensive but at least you can trust them. They informed me that she had a Pyometra, which is a very large pus filled uterus. Needless to say she needed immediate surgery.I contacted Middletown and spoke with the doctor and expressed my concerns and asked for a refund because she didn't do a thorough exam on my cat. She didn't offer to do an xray or anything. She said she couldn't give me a refund and I should have brought her back. Why would I do that? Obviously she didn't do it right the first time. I'm just a dental assistant but even I know you can't properly diagnose without an xray. That would be like us having a patient come in with swelling and tell them they were fine. I'm very angry because this is the second time that cat has left that office with a life threatening issue and I had to take her elsewhere to get treated properly. Back in 2017 she was not eating, vomiting and rapidly losing weight. Dr. Shockley said she was ok. We decided to take her to another office and they told us her stomach was full of hair ties. They took an xray and showed us. At least they took care of her. I didn't go back until I heard he had retired and thought we would try the other doctor. That experience was no better. She did my animal a disservice and I wouldn't trust them with anything.

Maybe if there is a new person and they haven’t handled a chihuahua that’s been there 100 times and she can’t grab the dog correctly and supposedly gets “bit” she doesn’t need to be working there! Maybe you have my dog bad vibes cause she’s never bit anyone EVER!

I have known Doc for decades and Eva as well. The entire staff is amazing. I have had emergency situations and Eva and Dr. Shockley have always went above and beyond to help me. I swear Eva is an animal whisperer lol... The entire team truly loves animals and it shows. You do not find better people to care for your 4 legged friends than the staff at Middletown Animal Hospital. THANK YOU Doc, Eva and staff for always being the best!!!

Doc Shockley has been around since I was very young. He is one of the most kind and compassionate vets around. Every single member of his staff are amazing people! They go above and beyond for your fur babies; and even ones that aren’t yours. Eva and the others have checked animals I have brought in for microchips, no questions asked and have helped reunite countless lost pets with their families; keeping them safe and cared for. Every animal that goes through those doors is treated as if they were treating their own pet. Eva even went to the extent of contacting someone with APL to organize a surrender for a stray I found in Alexandria to be dropped off on a day they were closed to make sure he was safe when we discovered he was not chipped. They take the best care of their patients and their dedication to their work is very clear.

I just love Dr Shockley! He’s so kind and sweet to the animals and really cares about their well being. He’s very reasonably priced for the services he offers as well as he does excellent, thorough work. The staff is awesome too. My pups love to go and see them and they’re always so friendly and patient. Would recommend him to anyone searching for a vet.

Dr. Shockley is super down to earth and amazing with the animals. The ladies at the front desk are initiative and kind. The facility is clean and organized. We boarded our dogs for 4 days and they seemed to have had a good time! Highly recommend this place!

Dr. Shockley is a ninja at giving cats pills, very quick, they never see it coming! The staff is very friendly. The prices are reasonably. I have to give my dog medicine for a chronic problem and he found a cheaper and larger bottle to help us. It's the sort of service I will come back for.

We discovered Middletown Animal Hospital after the sudden loss of a dearly loved fur baby. Their love and compassion was greatly appreciated in our time of grief. We have been bring all our fur babies here ever since. They show great love and understanding with every interaction. They do amazing work and really seem to be all about the animals. Can't say enough about them.
