This is the best store ever! They have some of the most unique items. There is a great selection of work clothes, tools and anything needed to remodel or build a hime. This Menards is laid out like the one on Ireland Rd in South Bend, which is nice since this is the layout we are used to. We love the lighting department at Menards. It has the best selection or classic lights along with unique, fancy, elegant and stylish options.They are having an all you can fit in the bag deal you get 15% off. We like discounts! And the 11% deals work well for us, too!The reason I have only 4 stars today is because of the girl who rung us up and the men’s restroom, according to my husband. The girl who rung us up did not greet us nor talk to us except to tell us our total. Her attitude was one of “I don’t care, I’m just here because I need the money.” And my husband said the restroom was dirty. We visited here on January 3, 2024.

I have a love/hate relationship with Menard's; they got da stuff - ALL da stuff. But, as with all Menard's, feels like I got in a week's worth of cardio by the time I leave. Kitchen and Bathroom cleaning stuff is in front (thank you), but beware: they have great stuff you can't get anywhere else, so you'll be back. HATE their "rebate" excuse for a sale. Requires paperwork, send it in, wait - and get DISCOUNT for next visit.

Simply put, if you need it, they probably have it. From eggs to electronics and milk to magnetic lights, they have it. Indoor and outdoor items, tools, and accessories are available for just about every tradesman, craftsman, or just a regular joe looking to attack a project. The staff, for the most part, seem to know their departments products and what to use them for. They're good for advice to help accomplish your projects. Despite their sales Menards may not always be the lowest but it's usually only a one stop shopping trip,(unless you forget something or change your mind).

Don't buy any of their perfomax tools, the glue gun Burts into flames burning/electrocuting me and it also blew up one of my gfci outlets I now have been electrocuted and also have to pay an electrician. Please avoid menards brand products I almost died today

They have a bit of everything from grocery to hardware to lawn equipment to lighting. In some areas they have fewer choices. Prices are good. Staff is helpful. For larger stuff I do pick up. They charge a bit to pull the stuff but it's easier for me.

I rented an edger sander for my floors and found the bag to be broken. Wendy at the service desk was more than willingly to let me swap out for another bag with no hassle. Wendy’s kindness and willingness to help turned my day around.

Not all employees are aware of the no-return policy on merchandise. (even w/ a receipt) I was told I could return a product within 90 days if it didn’t work. Well…that was not correct. Spoke w/mgt. AND he blamed me for not reading the signs. (which had info contrary to what two different dept. employees told me)Very disappointing service. Will go elsewhere next time.

I am a frequent shopper as I have an 80 year old house. This particular time I had a return without a receipt, but I had stuff I needed so Hannah easily gave me a store credit that I quickly spent on other items.I personally have had issues, but the one that bothers me is my encounter with an elderly lady who asked me for help putting a few bags of dirt in her car because she was tired of waiting for store assistance. I have also watched the help watch me put an entire grill box in my truck by myself.I guess my point is that you'd better bring help to load things. The store help sucks. There are some great employees inside though!

DON'T RENT TRUCK FROM HERE...ITS NOT 18.95!The 18.95 truck rental is very misleading. Its 18.95 for first hour and 15mins. Then there is an additional $6 for every 15mins extra and they start timing you before you start using truck, so make sure you delete 15 minutes off that because thats for time between truck use and checking out truck and returning it. The computer starts the timing as soon as they print page work and ends it as soon as they print final paper work. Its also $300 deposit so they will get their extra charges once you return it and discover the true price.Uhaul will give u a truck for the day for 19.95. And menards will not allow you to fill up truck. Menards charges 50 cents per mile instead of allowing the customer to fill the tank back up which is a total rip off. If the truck can get 17 miles per gallon then you are paying 8.50 per gallon of gas when the gas station charges $3.70 per gallon. You can rent a bigger uhal truck for a day and still pay much less. I did it and I promise you uhaul is far cheaper and give you much more time. Call uhaul before wasting your money with these sam trucks. ***You can even rent a truck from enterprise for cheaper if you plan on using it for more than few hours.*update reply: thanks for replying to review. this review was posted after I spoke with General manager on phone and she said she was unable to do anything. This was my first experience feeling ripped off from a huge business like Menards. Everything else was good. Just the truck rental made me feel taken advantage of afterwards. Uhaul was far more cheaper and they explained everything upfront. I will email general manager and hope she will be more helpful thru email tho.

Got to the store kinda late tonight and even knew what we wanted.The furniture was retrieved by the employees, part was brought tothe register and the bigger pieces taken to the back for pick up. When we pulled around back it was already locked up, but reopened so we could get our furniture that night. There were at least 5 gentlemen waiting to help get us loaded and then we were on our way. We were very grateful for the extra time and help to ensure we had everything we needed so we could make tonight work.

*very pregnant customer here*Don’t expect the young guys working at the Michigan City Menards to help you. Do not ask where the other sizes of Plywood are and don’t expect them to help you with getting the plywood onto a carrier to walk up to the register, and then when the plywood doesn’t fit in your vehicle, definitely don’t ask them to hold what you paid for so you can get another vehicle. They will look at each other as if you are speaking in tongues at that point. Mind you, the plywood I needed was a 4x4 particleboard that was located literally on the floor. That I, a 37 week pregnant woman, had to get off the floor and onto a gurney thing to push to the register. Lucky for me I’m self-sufficient but the kid who “helped” me, didn’t know what he was looking for and when another customer came up to us and asked ME where something walnut thing was, the kid left to go help the guy because I said, “oh no it’s okay I can do this myself” again, very clearly pregnant here… very disappointing. BUT I WILL SAY MOLIENA AT THE SERVICE DESK WAS A DOLL AND SHE HELPED ME. When I went inside to talk to someone about coming back with a bigger truck, she was so patient with me, and I was getting very emotional about how insufficient these boys were. When I got back to Menards with a bigger truck, Moliena stopped what she was doing and came with me outside to load the pieces, even though I brought my dad and he could have done it himself, she adamantly wanted to help. I appreciate her very much. The boys? Not even going to glance their way. They should do better. I almost never want to go into this Menards again.

We went in store to start our journey of new cabinets. Alex was extremely helpful! 10/10 recommend her. She was knowledgeable and brought things to our attention we would’ve never thought of. We aren’t shy to DIY or home improvements, but she made sure we had the tools we need to design a flowing kitchen. Things we hadn’t thought of on our own.

I rented a shampooer and because of the way the receipt printed out I thought it said 1500 which is 3:00 p.m. . Instead of giving a discount or having some compassion and maybe not charge me at all for 2 hours, Menards is so greedy that I would never want to work for them. And it is supposed to be a family-oriented business.Family oriented only when comes to money in their pocket

I went to Menards this morning and got a vacuum and a bunch o other items. I asked for a someone to help me with a carryout. A young man came up and said he was to help me.well after I ipushed my cart to the car, he did pick up thevacuum and put it in the car and then he told me he would wait while I put the rest of my stuff in the car to take the cart back. Don't they train people. I am a handicapped person totally ridiculous

I gave 2 stars because I have had good experience always in the past throughout the past 10 years. The GM of this store (ED) is always friendly, professional and helpful to customers. I have dealt with the paint department on numerous occasions and always professional and helpful. Today 5-30-22 Memorial Day was not good experience at all. I went to rent a truck (have done so in the past and went fine) and got staff member Moliena at the front desk. I thought I would ask (you never know) if they offered Veterans any discount for Memorial Day (as I served in the Military) and her very rude response was, "We don't give veterans discounts!!" Instead of a courteous response of, "I'm sorry we do not offer discounts to veterans but thank you for your service." After she took copy of my license and credit card, she stood there at computer for nearly 15 minutes saying nothing while I waited then walked off. I ask the other lady, "where did she go?" The lady said coldly "go outside and Moliena would meet me at the truck." No communication, no professionalism and certainly no respect for veterans. Unfortunately, Moliena doesn't seem to appreciate she is able to enjoy her FREEDOM this very day due to the sacrifices Veterans have made for her This lady needs a crash course in customer service and Menards should recognize this person is the first person customers see when they walk in the door.

I had a section of drywall that needed to be replaced. I have never done drywall. The employee in the building dept. listened to the problem, took my order and told I would need suggested tools, told me the depts. where the items were I am impressed! The employee outside in the yard cut the drywall for me and loaded everything. I will ALWAYS GO TO THIS HOME STORE!!!! FABULOUS HELP! 😁😁😁

Only one representative of the FIVE I asked for help was willing to help, and had knowledge of where items were located. The others either claimed they didn't know where the item I was looking for was, and or made my whole trip there meaningless, for I got the wrong things given, and now I will be going back for a refund and going to Ace WHERE I SHOULD OF THE 1ST TIME!
