The one star is for the cabinet quality and the kitchen designer that was very helpful in the store. I purchased kitchen cabinets through Lowe’s and decided to pay for the contractor they work with to remove our old cabinets and appliances and then install the new ones. The owner of The Home Improvement Group LLC came out to take measurements. Steve was nice and seemed knowledgeable. All communication from that point was through the company manager Bree. When the old cabinets were removed our microwave was broken. The button panel was torn off and the buttons no longer worked. They also left the fridge and stove (the two heaviest appliances) in the kitchen. I paid for someone else to remove appliances because I am not physically capable. As soon as I noticed the microwave was broken I contacted Bree. She sent Steve out to make sure it wasn’t fixable and made the comment that he wanted to take a look because the workers didn’t remember breaking it. Steve agreed to reimburse us for the cost of replacing the button panel. Weeks went by and I didn’t hear anything further so I contacted them again and was sent a check. The first day of installation they made a foot long scratch in our new hardwood floors. I mentioned this to the manager and they then put protection down on the hardwood. From that point forward they didn’t look or speak to me, only to my husband. There is a large gap between the foot kick and the pantry cabinet, almost all of the cabinet doors had huge gaps between them and many of them were mounted crooked. One of the drawers can’t be used currently because it hits the drawer above it due to being crooked. The sink cabinet was not screwed to the wall correctly so it was mobile and they installed our farmhouse sink incorrectly. It was installed too high for the countertop to be placed and they didn’t properly support it. They also vomited in my landscaping. When they put the appliances back they didn’t connect the dishwasher which I paid for them to do and they made another 3 foot scratch on our hardwood floors. They used quarter round from our garage without asking and this job took a total of 6 days. Our kitchen is not large. We had to reschedule our countertop appointment twice and still have to postpone it because the sink needs fixed. I paid for them to install the sink and now I have to pay someone else’s to redo it. My husband and I took off a total of 6 days between the two of us so that someone would be here while they worked. We paid around $4,000 in labor for the removal of cabinets and existing appliances, installation of new cabinets and range hood and sink and putting the appliances back in place and hooking them up. And NOW, my husband has to go back and redo or fix a list of things. This is terrible quality work. Our cabinets are beautiful and the quality is good. I would definitely recommend the product. However, I would strongly urge you to use your own contractor. Their quality of work is unacceptable and quite frankly, laughable. The pictures speak for themselves. After weeks I was able to get through to the customer service representative at Lowe’s. She informed me that I could take compensation for the botched sink install or continue waiting for the contractor to respond to them about coming out to fix everything. She even told me they’d sent them four messages with no response. We haven’t had a kitchen for two months and our countertops are just sitting, while we wait for the sink to be fixed. I told her we want to hire someone we trust to fix it because we can’t wait any longer. She said that would void the warranty. So our two choices are to wait for the contractor to respond to them for an undefined amount of time or take payment for the sink installation and have our warranty voided. I agreed to be reimbursed for the sink and then they sent a release of claims form that says they’ll reimburse me as long as I sign a form saying I won’t leave any negative reviews. Not signing it.

My recent visit to Lowe's Home Improvement was a positive, efficient shopping experience. Right from the entrance, I was greeted warmly by the staff who promptly assisted me in locating what I needed. Their friendly approach and eagerness to assist made navigating the store a breeze.While shopping, I received additional assistance from the staff, ensuring I could select the right items for my project. The self-checkout was fast and painless, helping me complete my shopping in roughly 10 minutes - a commendable feat for a home improvement store.However, there were a couple of minor points that could be improved. The store was somewhat crowded with carts due to several employees fulfilling pickup orders, which made navigating the aisles a bit tricky. I even had to ask an employee to move so I could pass. Additionally, the apparent absence of shopping baskets was noticeable; I do not know if they just don't have them or if I couldn't find them on my trip.

I wrote an email to your customer care several days ago. Since then I called your customer care number and yet again relayed my story concerning buying a washer over President Day weekend and having major delivery and installation issues.Yesterday, I spoke with the 7th person about this ongoing saga. Again, I was promised by that person that they would return my call by the end of today with an update on a result. Here I am again at after 7:00 pm in the evening, never hearing a word.To say I am feeling despondent, frustrated, disappointed and totally ignored doesn’t begin to describe the “customer, we could care less” attitude you have ingrained in me.Mary Dacey

Resist the urge to add Lowe's Protection Plus. We are on week 8 of dryer service. 8 appointments (4 actual technician appearance, 3 no-shows), 7 days of work missed(would have covered buying 2 new dryers) 40+ emails, 30+ phone calls to Lowe's, Assurant, and Sears Home Services, and as of 2/2/2024 dryer still not functioning. Parts ordered, parts defective, parts shipped to wrong location. All with zero responsibility from any of the 3 parties mentioned. They simply don't care! Store manager never available to discuss. Last appliance purchase from Lowe's.

I'm not very happy with Lowes very expensive. They don't do rebate like Menard. For appliance items, if you have an issue, you have to deal with the manufacturer. Stay away from GE products.

Don’t know what Karen’s problem was but she was angry as we walked to the register. She said a lot of things both to us and under her breath when she had to do a price check. I understand having a bad day, we all have those, but wow! Another employee looked at us and nodded like, “yeah, I know.” I’ve had bad experiences in the past, I think we all have.. in all different stores, but this chick was downright hateful to us and other customers.

They have terrible customer service, I tried calling the store to speak to an associate three times and everytime I was left on hold indefinitely. I even heard someone pick up the phone but then transfer me into the waiting room again. It seems like they literally just ignore their phone calls.

This place is outstanding in comparison to menards next door. The product is much higher quality and thanks to the size of the company, if you get something installed by them and things do not go as planned, you can count on them to fix it.

I've been going to this Lowe's for 25 years, they have a wide selection of just about everything for decent prices. The summer season/outdoor flowers and plants area is great.ok, it's a handful of years later now. The store is still my go-to, lowest prices, good people. I just wanted to add a comment that prices in the home improvement area are much higher in general than just 3 years ago, so get mentally and financially prepared.

Find out if your free delivery comes with installation of your appliance! If it does, request that the delivery guys hook it up. Super nice delivery gentleman. Needed a new ice connector for my fridge when it was delivered, and Ben was a floor manager in plumbing and gave me all the info I needed from the pictures I brought. He also refunded me for the ice connector that did not show up that I would not have needed anyway! Even though I had the delivery man’s cell phone, he did not need it in order to know that the $15 hook up part did not come to my house. When I called everybody answered the phone and was very helpful.

I just want anyone that reads this to know and understand that you should be very careful about buying tools for outdoors that involve gas or oil. The reason why I'm saying that is because I bought a self-propelled lawn mower and it leaked oil from when I first bought it. I was told that it was the grease that they pack around The shaft that goes through the engine and the blade attaches to it. This was not true. After doing research I realized that I wasn't the only Person having this problem. All over the internet people are complaining about their engines especially in their lawn mowers and then I finally figured out why. I had to take my entire engine apart and then I realized they never put any kind of gasket sealant in these engines. When I took the cylinder head off, the gasket just fell off and was intact. A gasket should never do that. There was an air leak and moisture got into it which caused rust inside of the cylinder head. I paid $250 for this machine and with the parts and the time I probably have about $400 into it. Be very very cautious. I am going to leave the Model number to my lawn mower so in case anyone doesn't believe me, you can look up this number and then look at how many people complain about their lawn mowers breaking down on them and then finding out it was a manufacturer problem. If Lowe's is going to sell Craftsman products or any product for that matter, they should be reliable. They should have done a recall but instead they're ripping off their customers. I ordered 2500 serious Pella windows, top of the line by Lowes the window salesman show me windows at the show room I really liked so I ordered seven windows but when I received the windows they was not the same. I saw at the store absolutely different so my problem that I have to install them, so we have to be careful they tell you one thing and they send you something else. I’m really disappointed it’s the first time I deal with Lowe’s store as far as ordering something big like windows or doors or anything.

I'm new to this area, coming from Atlanta where I always used Lowes for everything and always had great and prompt service. My experience over the past couple of days has been a nightmare. I bought all new cabinets, one of which is damaged and I specifically ordered appliances, refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range and microwave that, according to the MC location were in stock and had a text from Lowes that they would deliver today between 10-2. We scheduled our contractor to arrive today to install. Awesome right? Um, no. They had nothing in stock and now they are not being delivered until Monday with no reason AND now our contractor can't reschedule until 2 weeks from now. Probably shouldn't have bought online but when my husband called them just to make sure, they assured us everything was in stock. What are we supposed to do now? The customer service at this store is non-existant.

Just watched an employee (as evidenced by her lunch bag and interaction) buy a cart full of the most beautiful hostas they had on the shelves…..interesting that they all had a black line through the barcode making them clearance price…while I pay full price. WOW theft right out in the open, unreal. Asked the cashier how that happens and they ignored my question.

I wish I took the time to read the reviews prior to me going here to get an expensive fridge!This location has terrible customer service including the managers. I had a damaged delivery and called to let them know and that’s when it turned into a real bad experience, they told me “it’s no longer out problem once product leaves the warehouse”..,”you need to call this number and call back if they don’t answer” “We can’t do anything about it “…Excuse me for bothering you with my 3000$ purchase!!I even called the manager and she tried helping but I wasn’t happy with the level of professionalism nor the customer service I received …definitely doesn’t compare to Home Depot or Menards.I will return the item and take my business where it’s more appreciated!!I will not shop here again!!I do NOT recommend!!

I bought a riding lawn mower. It was delivered without a key. When I got the key it wouldn't start because the battery was bad. When I got it to start it ran terribly, spitting and sputtering. I finally put it in a shop after 2 months because it wouldn't start. Turns out th spark plug was bad too. I will never buy anything else from them.

I'd bought a self propelled mower 6 days ago from Lowe's for my mother-in-law who is 69 years old thinking it would be easy.This thing took off like a scalded dog and took her to the ground. It leaves much uncut grass at the speed it runs. Way too fast. It's even fast for me at 53 years of age.Lowe's refused to exchange it. Only send in for repairs which is what has occured.I'm stuck with a $500 mower that can't be used.My own push mower was great but this one is terrible.CMXGMAM211201I hate to say but I'm unsure about keeping Craftsman in my life and I certainly won't be shopping with Lowe's anymore.

Walked up front to ask for help in fence posts, was told to go on back and someone would meet us. Waited and waited, no one came. We are patient and try to be understanding especially these days. We walked all the way back up front, told them nobody came. They said to go back AGAIN and somebody WOULD come. I asked FOR REAL THIS TIME? NOBODY CAME 2ND TIME EITHER. We left, went across street to Big R was helped right away.I will not wonder why they go out of business when it happens.

Today I went to purchase some paint at the Lowe’s in Michigan City and Larry was so kind. He went above and beyond to help me. He greeted me and answered all of my questions and was so patient with me and seemed to really enjoy his job. It is very hard to find good customer service nowadays let alone amazing customer service and Larry was phenomenal and if you ever need help with your painting needs, I definitely recommend going to Lowe’s and asking for Larry.
