I’ve always enjoyed coming to frieds cat shelter to visit the cats. They are very caring and I love knowing it is a no kill shelter which provides love and care to any cat that comes in. After a few trips visiting, I finally decided to adopt a cat who has been there for over 4 years. The process was very simple and I was able to take Winter home with me the same day. Thank you so much for being here and would recommend to adopt from here.

We stopped by on a whim in the middle of a road trip and it is a great organization filling an important role caring for and placing cats in homes. We enjoyed our tour and an opportunity to play with the kittens and cats. It was clear that the staff cared for the animals and were quite knowledgeable on the personalities of each critter. Make sure you get the stories on the permanent cats.

I love love love this place. Went inside to a warm welcome from the friendliest workers. She helped me find my absolute perfect little fur baby. His name was Toothless and now he's called Jethro. I love him so much and I'm so appreciative of this shelter for helping me find him.Update:I got a second sweet kitten from this shelter. Absolutely perfect addition. Once Boca, now Logan. Thank you so much for this perfect little fur baby.

I left a message..they called back the first time, and said they would need to check if they had room for a pregnant stray and would call me back. They never called me back, even though I left another message when I did not hear from them. Not a good recommendation, in my opinion...

Won’t let you adopt a kitten if you’re planning on declawing it. I guess they’d rather it not get it a home if you advocate declawing.

Very loving, and caring workers. and lots of cats who are looking for a good home. I brought my kids in to visit them. And the cats were very sweet and kind. Of corse some were shy and stand off. But the rest were so sweet.

Wonderful place. So many cats! Did a small amount of volunteering here and they were really helpful and friendly. All the other workers made me feel very welcome as I learned things. All the rooms for the cats had windows and were very clean with blankets/beds for the cats to lay on as well as toys for them to play with. Lots of extremely friendly cats of all ages that would love a home.

I just got my second cat from this place and wow I've nvr seen such nice, calm, gentle cats in a group, on top of it my cat 4month was not having it n hissing n raising his paws at all the other kittens n adults n they just looked at him n sniffed, I definitely recommend this place if you need a cat.If you have a cat n u want to introduce it you must bring paperwork to prove up to date shots, rabies n testing for feline leukemia.ALSO UNLIKE OTHER ADOPTION PLACES YOU GET YOU NEW FAMILY MEMBER SAME DAY.My 6month cat was $125 with all shots n microchip etc but she has a small hernia n they are gonna remove for free but they nicely without asking charged me on $75, I spent like a hour there playing with all the cats.

Paid $125 for a cat with upper respiratory infection and worms. Very dirty, run down and inhumane. Should have looked at earlier reviews that complained about their sick animals. Do not surrender your cats here and do not adopt from here, unless you want to be paying hundreds in vet bills like I just did. Cat hoarders who get donations.

Very clean and spacious shelter. Cats have lots of room to move around. Staff is extremely knowledgable about cat care and the individual cats themselves. They suggested a wonderful cat that was perfect for our living arrangement and even provided a cat carrier as we lived about 2 hours away.Thank you Fried's Cat Shelter!

I have written a few checks to Frieds around the holidays the past few years and sent them by mail. I did not ask thatthe donation be in memory or in honor of anyone. It would be nice if they could send some kind of acknowledgement or Thank you when they receive a donation in this way.I see that my checks were cashed , so I know they received the donations.

This place has been so helpful to me. I greatly appreciate them for everything they do. I have taken kittens here who all got adopted, I have taken a couple feral cats in the get fixed through there TNR program and they have helped me in another situation. I am so greatful for their help and their vet, who I have a lot of respect for who helps these cats have a better life. Thank you all so much

Place obviously smells like cats boxes. This is a no kill cat shelter. They are also a non-profit cat shelter. If you can't adopt, maybe think about donating to help them care for the cats the tend to. For those looking to adopt they have special needs cats for adoption, if you're looking for that. They also have kittens, teen cats, adult cats, and elder cats. All cats seem to be well cared for. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about every cat in their care. We recent adopted a 5 year cat named Jingle. She has been a great addition to our family. Will definitely go back here in the future for cat adoptions.

Large amount of loving cats in all varieties. Wonderful, sweet staff who really cares about the animals. Got a younger cat there 4 years ago today and she is still healthy and happy. Very loving facility.

Fried's cat shelter is the best. The staff is super friendly and it is so nice to see how well the cats are taken care of. It's a great place to visit and love on the kitties (and they love to love on you too!)

They take domestic and stray cats, and fix them, give them their shots, and treat them for fleas and ticks at a very reasonable cost. Friendly staff.They are on highway 212 just north of the highway 35 interchange.Don't forget to "like" reviews and photos you like. This helps the reviewer.

Adopted a sweet cat.... she was microchipped and everything for a decent price, which is nice, but they gave her to us with worms! I called and they told us to go buy her treatment!?! Who in the world puts a sick cat up for adoption?

My grand daughter and I love to visit this place and we usually donate money. I just wonder why they do not open all the windows not only air it out but so the cats can get fresh air, lord knows I needed some fresh air.

The staff were kindly and gave us a tour of their sizeable facility (seriously, it's a pretty big place), but I found it a little bit disconcerting that a fraction of the cats in the communal area (The Gang as it is adorably called) had varying levels of respiratory infections, ranging from audible wheezing to two cats I noticed that expelled mucous whenever they sneezed. I don't know if they (or even all of the cats in that area for that matter) were being treated, but I found it a little unnerving that ill cats with a highly contagious infection might be housed with cats that may potentially be perfectly healthy, especially when there is a quarentine area near the back of the primary facility in which these sick cats could be potentially housed in until they are healthy enough for adoption. I loved my visit and met so many friendly candidates that I would have certainly taken home (the red tabby with the socks is a total love-bug, and keep an eye out for that wonderful black cat who loves to perch on shoulders!), but I can honestly say that I didn't feel like taking the gamble of bringing home a cat that may have an infectious disease as a companion to my currently healthy housecat. However, Fried's IS a no-kill shelter who spays and neuters their animals, and gives them all the food, water, shelter, and tlc that they need, and that is infinately better than these cats being on the street.
