Was just at this location & asked an associate where I could find an item & she acted as if I was an intrusion, she then pointed me in the direction of the item, when I asked a question to clarify where she meant, she told me the same thing. Clearly still not knowing where the item was, I went to look for where she said. She did not try to show me where it was. I finally found the area I needed, but there was no product. I had a few other things in my cart, but I was so annoyed by this point, due to the store being a mess & no stock of hardly anything I needed, I decided that I’d take my business raise where. As I was leaving I walked by this same associate & she said nothing as she watched me leave without my cart. This store has always had problems & I won’t be coming back.

The service was good but the store is cluttered with inventory! It's hard to walk through the isles when there is boxes of items not stocked and items placed anywhere on the shelves near the clothes isle. The front where the food is located was organized but the rest of the store is a mess. They should hire more people to work there so the store can get back to order.

I like stocking up on my cleaning products and paper items at this store. Also it's nice to run into for a quick trip to pick up bandaids or tooth paste or last minutes items you may need. I get my dad's candy here ( he's 92) and loves the hard candies and spice drops. The candy has always been fresh. It's very convenient to have this store in the area. The staff is always friendly and they greet you when you come into the store. The Parking lot is always plowed in the winter and they have handicap parking right in front of the store. They have good sales and they accept coupons. You can also sign up to receive their in-store coupons which are fantastic deals .

There is a wonderful new manager that has completely turned the place around. She is friendly and helpful. Her store is finally one where you can get through the aisles and it is very orderly. What a pleasant change from the way that store used to be.

Always have boxes everywhere impossible to walk in half the aisles with a cart. That is not specific to this particular Dollar General. They are all like that. I can never go in there and get everything I came for. Maybe it's because the stock is always laying around in boxes instead of on the shelves.

This store is a hazardous mess every time I go in. The staff seem like hardworking people. They are very kind. Today an employee lent his phone to a customer who had locked her keys in her car. She was concerned about running his battery down. He said he didn't care. She was still on hold when I left . Messy store, great people.

The prices are reasonable. This store is located about 10 minutes from home so I visit it quite a bit. I found some neat items for filler Christmas gifts from 1-5 dollars. A couple of the items I found for a dollar can be up to 15 at other stores. The shelves are normally messy and it can be hard to find prices. Sometimes there is a cashier available immediately to check out but I've stood at the counter for what felt like forever waiting for someone to emerge from the back to check me out.

I guess I just never have good luck at this place. Decided to give them another try, because I only needed 1 common item. In and out, how bad could this be? First thing that was impossible to miss even if I were blind, was the over flowing merchandise carts and boxes everywhere. Every aisle. Like they stopped unpacking mid-delivery. So I'm walking around looking. Can't seem to find it in the 2 spots I would think to look, so after double checking, I start looking for an employee. Mistake. That store was like a ghost town. At this point I should've just went somewhere else, but it's already been 15 min, and I didn't feel like packing up my antsy 5yo nephew in the car just to go not even a mile down the road and get back out then back in... No. I know they have this, come on just find it! My face is quite warm out of frustration and slight embarrassment, cause I probably looked like a crazy wandering lady, as I take one more lap around the store. I'm pushing carts out of my way like I work there when lo and behold THERE it is. On an end cap, which was completely blocked from view. Finally walk up to the register. Waiting. Big surprise there. Then 2 individuals come walking up, neither of them in any kind of uniform or wearing name tags. One gets behind the register to ring me up while the other is having a loud non work related conversation with someone in the back room. Cashier didn't say anything to me except "Here's your change". Talk about lacking people skills.. Kicking myself for not taking a picture to post with this. Guess I'll wait another year or 2 before I attempt to shop there again.

Great place, great prices. Everyone should shop there. Save money. Very convenient. Two doors down from Evergreen Furniture. Another great place to shop for furniture. Very large store with great prices.Take two minutes and do a walk through. Amazing..

My God, both this location AND the location on Michigan Blvd in Michigan city, are absolutely virtually neglected. I went to both of them today among other times I've been to them and they are just trashed and disorganized and out of numerous items 90% percent of the time. I work at one of their competitor's and i felt embarrassed for the stores and its employees. They definitely need more help on the shifts to clean and stock because they appear to not be doing so...

I have noticed improvements in displays, more products and better organization. Very handy store to have available when you just can't deal with the big box stores!

They are trying to get it back together and organized . Works are really sweet and kind . Everygreen plaza Dollar General.. Back to 9pm closing time as well

Very disorganized stocking is behind and there are carts of product everywhere. Shelves were empty and I don't understand why there is usually only one person working and having to stock. There are times you have to go find the cashier because they are so far away from the register

The Dollar General i go to is a great place to find all kinds if different items, they do a good business and i have found that they have the most recent items, i think this place is a unique kind of place, you will find things there you may never even heard of, i go there often and have not been disappointed in the products i had purchased

The store was a wreck, just because you sell things at a discount doesnt mean you can be a mess! Some aisles you couldn't even get to. Bery unsafe for employees and customers. Osha would have a field day

Filthy, aisles blocked by boxes of merchandise, made it extremely hard for my father to maneuver in his wheel chair. Cashier was super nice though.

Evergreen plaza Dollar General was filthy, empty shelves, one worker and racks full of stuff to be put away! I'll stick to the one by Karwick Plaza that is always clean and stocked.

I'm giving Dollar General overall 1 star because they obviously are not carrying the cookies/biscuits I have been buying there for quite awhile now. They are from Turkey. On my roadtrip I have been mapping every single Dollar General and checking for them........notta!

This dollar general is okay... Their store is a little wrecked! It looks like the delievery truck pulled up threw up and left them to clean up the mess so BE CAREFUL here folks!

Shelves are empty but cases and cases are in the aisles, you can barely get through. I'm talking about the one on highway 20, it's also very dirty.

Terrible service waited in line forever because the spacey girl was not paying attention to what was going on down the aisle not to mention the store was blasting rap music full of obscenities the whole time I was in there
