Our pupper loves it at Spruce Hill! She gets so excited every time we turn the corner to head to the kennel! She always has a great time, and the staff takes the time to love on her and treat her like their own! We always get a bath/groom after her boarding time now, and she is always soo fluffy and happy when we pick up! She always wonderfully worn out when we get home! I've always been able to work with the owner on pick up and drop off times to make it work for us and our family! They're super flexible and professional! They take great care of the animals in their care! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

if i could rate a -10 i would. my cat has razor marks all over him but that’s not the worst thing. my cat has not stopped shaking since he has come home. this groomer has traumatized my cat. what she told me she did to my cat, made my heart drop. here’s a few notes. bare with me. once receiving my little baby back, she said she has to hold down his back legs and hold him down completely and to be able to shave him. at that point, please just call me. no groomer has ever said he has been a problem. my cat now suffers from ptsd due to what this groomer did. PLEASE do not take your cat there. this has never happened before until this experience. i no longer can touch my baby without him jumping and trembling. i will not be forgiving this place and am forewarning you.

We love taking our fur family members here. Very clean and well kept facility with extremely caring and friendly staff. I would recommend them to anyone. Our experience has always been extremely pleasant and our dogs enjoy going to doggy camp.

Was happy with these people until I fell sick with kidney disease while my dogs were being boarded there. In their defense, they were trying to help me at first, with a discounted rate on my 3 dogs I was temporarily boarding there while trying to find a place for myself and my dogs after a divorce and sudden "eviction" from my long time home, and in my defense, I was keeping up payments for several weeks, but when I was hospitalized for my kidneys and had to undergo surgery, I fell behind on payments. So they took 2 of my 3 dogs to the Morgan County Humane Society and dumped them there, and I believe they kept my 3rd dog, my oldest dog, Daisy. I got my two from the Humane Society back within a couple of months (Thank God they were still there!!!) ...but the folks at the Humane Society said that Spruce Hill never brought Daisy in. So, the best I can figure is they stole her or had her euthenized. I will NEVER forgive these people for that. They refused to return my phone calls and have never responded to my inquiry about what happened to my old dog. I do NOT recommend this kennel for any pet that you love. The greedy, heartless people that operate this place can NOT be trusted. Take my advice on this one... it's not the love of dogs or animals in general that motivate these people.... It's only about money and how much they can get out of you in the end. Do NOT take your furbabies here, you may never see them again. This is the truth. On my life, this is the truth that happened to me, and this is a first-hand account that I share with you now in this review. Avoid this kennel at all costs. They are corrupt and immoral.

Debbie does a great job and even knows how many nails are on a dogs foot!! Not common sense. She even trimmed all of both of my dogs nails, which is appearantly not a given with all local groomers here in Martinsville. She even palpated my new to me dog and found a random tick as we were talking. This one dog was only there for a nail trim. It felt good to have her look at his coat and ears and what not without asking her to go above and beyond a simple nail trim. Done with a Dremel by the way. Nice smooth nails. Debbie and Frank and all the gang care about animals here. The place is kept clean, as clean as an animal facility can be expected to be. The price is right. Friendly staff. A very professional place. Grateful for their services offered. I do recommend booking next groom at current groom appt., as this company is in high demand and not always able to get to your call or message right away.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I called and made an appointment to drop my dog off mid-afternoon, on my way to the airport in Indianapolis. When I arrived, the office was deserted, and the sign on the door said they are only open from 4:00 To 5:00 in the afternoon. At no point had anyone told me this over the phone, and since my flight was scheduled to leave at 5:15, this would not have worked for me. I was left frantically calling other kennels to try to board him and was in serious danger of missing my flight. It doesn't matter how good they are with dogs, as other reviews say, if no one is going to be there when you arrive.

Boarded a cocker spaniel and a Yorkie for a few days. When I picked them up, I swear they never out of the cage. Their bed smelled so bad of urine. Tossing it in trash is all I could do. I don't live too far away and my car stunk!!
