We used to love coming to this place a couple years ago. We waited every year for it to open again. The last time we went was terrible. First the burgers were like the cheap type school burgers. This was not the case a couple years ago. The small ice cream was like a cup you get for your pet, tiny. The large was basically the same size as the medium. I thought they made a mistake. The lady there is rude but that's always been the case. But over looked when the food was decent. They decided to cut cost becuase they know they have a loyal customer base. That will end with food like this. Congrats on putting your customers last.

I got some of the worse service I have ever experienced today. I took my daughter to pick up a bowl of vanilla ice cream and cheese curds. The guy doing drive thru was extremely impatient and you couldn’t understand a word that came out of his mouth. Despite the rudeness I ordered then pulled forward not knowing my total. No one was at the window to take my money or greet. Nothing. He finally comes to the window handing me a chocolate vanilla swirled cone. I said this is not what I ordered it was supposed to be a vanilla bowl. He rolled his eyes and said no you said cone. He then went got a bowl and placed the cone upside down into the bowl and preceded to hand me this. Then hands me my cheese curds. I said could I get some marinara and with the crappiest attitude towards me says “what?!” I said you know what never mind and drove off. This was my first and only experience at this establishment and I will NOT be going back. Customer service should probably be more of a priority at this place. If I could give no stars I would.

Dude there was super rude and couldn’t understand anything he said. Oh by the way, half of the items on the menu they don’t have. Mark them off the menu lol. Jalapeño poppers were alright tho, but not worth the money spent.

Ordered cheeseburger and fry. They asked me what I wanted on it. I told the Lettuce, Tom and ketchup. I got a dry burger with nothing on it and a stale bun. The cheese for the fries was ice cold almost frozen and the price I paid was completely different than what I paid

Not "fast" food, but very tasty! Many memories of coming here after softball games as a kid. The Dairy Bar has been a consistent highlight & the "centerpiece" for several decades in Lizton! 😋

Stopped here for lunch and a totally decent sandwich with onion rings. They stayed busy the entire time I sat outside & ate.There are a handful of rocking chairs on the sidewalk just outside, and 3 tables around the other side to sit at. Nice little place and nice owners.

Sorry, but I honestly couldn't understand the impatient Guy ? Attempting to take my order in drive thru. First he got mad because I took too long to order. Then He mumbled at me in what sounded like gibberish. I said sorry, but I can't understand what you are saying. He mumbled again. I pulled out of Drive thru. Sorry, but if your employees can't speak English, they shouldn't be taking orders. Will not return

Used to come here when up this way for work. Used to be a good place to eat. It is now horrible. Trying to order and guy keeps getting distracted by something inside and have to repeat. Banana milkshake used to be just that with bananas in it. Now it's banana flavored. BBQ sandwich is tiny and not good, cheese fries used to be hot fresh fries with hot cheese, fries OK but cheese was cold, and to top it all off it was $12 for this. Would not pay over $5 for this quality or quantity.

i have liked this place since i was little but since i have been working at my grandmothers shop Knead the dough llc, i have had terrible service. i walk over there every saturday, the days i work, i got yelled at, the owner was irritated by me because i couldnt hear him and today i went over there and when the owner saw me he kinda gave me a dirty look. me and my family have been there since my mom was a little girl. but also i am a 12 year old walking across the street to get food while i am getting irritated by the owner. i have been disapionted for the last few times i have gone

I almost always get the whopper flurry or the twist cone or the butterfinger.... i crave some ice cream as i type this. my fam keeps going without me. so much better than diary queen. Not as air fluffed or metallic tasting.

High price for mediocre everything. The food was hot and fresh, but it was bland. I asked for honey mustard sauce for dipping and received a typical serving with an odd brand. Opened the sauce and lost my appetite, there was oil sitting on the top with weird yellow-colored film splotches all over it. The ice cream was nothing special either. So overall it's not a bad place to stop especially considering their competition is a dollar general. I think next time I'll choose the dollar store for my ice cream and get my hot food from the dairy bar.

The best root beer float ice cream!🍦Yummy 😋 great flavor! It has a more natural root beer flavor rather then a fake one! The consistency is perfect, very smooth and creamy! Price 👌Highly recommended!

It's been awhile since our last visit to the Lizton Dairy Bar. We would normally walk up to the window to place our order, but they also have a drive through window, which we used because it was raining. There was no overhead protection from the rain when ordering and it was very limited while waiting at the window. My wife had the brownie delight sundae and I had a medium vanilla waffle cone. The brownies were warm, which impressed us. The waffle cone was like any other you would expect. The staff was nice and friendly. Since it was raining and late in the evening (about 30 minutes before closing) we only had one car ahead of us, so the wait time was short. Cost for these two items, with tip, was $9.61. We were glad they were open when we drove by!

We've been here twice since they opened for the season. The first time one of our milkshakes wasn't made properly so I called and let them know, they apologized and were more than happy to replace it at no charge! So we went back today and got our replacement, along with other items! Everything was great! They were really busy at the time and only 3 employees were working, yet they managed to get all the orders out pretty fast! We'll definitely be returning this season!! Great job!!

used to love stopping here for a chocolate malt. don't know if they've changed the recipe the ingredients got a different kind of ice cream or what, but they're not as good as they used to be

Wonderful little "shake shack" that has a variety of soft serve based items, shakes/flurries/sundaes. They also have burgers, other fried foods and chicken sandwiches. Prices posted include any tax. Always great service, even when busy. There is no seating here, it is strictly a walk up/drive thru place. This is where the Family goes for cool treats on hit summer days.

Very stale hot dog bun, sloppy Joe sandwich looked like it had been totally flattened and had very little meat, drinks were full of ice with very little actual drink. Not worth the money. We like to support small businesses but won’t return to the Lizton Dairy Bar.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to the town which was roughly 7 years ago and I can say I’ve maybe only had one bad experience maybe two. I have noticed recently since they hired some new staff the quality of the ice cream has deteriorated otherwise I highly recommend their spicy chicken sandwich and their Reese cup flurry. Ps nvm I went today as of writing this and they forgot my order and didn’t put any toppings on my sandwich

A small town no frills burger and ice cream shop with reliable good food and service. I used to come here back in the early 90's after every Tri West game for a cone, now I stop on my way to Illinois on business trips every couple weeks or so. Keep up the good work!

Always love! Been coming here since I was a kido and so has my father and his siblings since they were kids! Even got married down the street at Lizton Lodge and made a ice cream run 😋
