We recently had an emergency event with one of our dogs. My girlfriend was in a panic as her dogs are her kids. They were busy that day and did not have any available appointments, we were told to bring her in and they would examine her when they had some spare time. When we got there we were invited right in to an exam room, and were seen by a vet in minutes. Although long time prognosis isn’t great, they helped us weigh our decision, and respected the situation we were in. We were seen by both of the veterinarians that day, and they were both wonderful and caring. Absolutely would recommend West Central to anyone. They saved one of our other dogs life a few years back when we had a similar situation. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!

I will never go anywhere else for vet Service. Great friendly Service everytime. The icing on the cake was when a close friend of mine (a military vet) needed emergency help.They are the ONLY place that would answer. Unfortunately the dog had to be put down. They went the extra mile to have the dog cremated, his ashes and paw prints returned to the owner. Patience and kindness in time of need. We are forever grateful.That is integrity at it's finest.❤️

I've been using this veterinarian office for years. I've used two of their locations. The one in Clinton and Rockville, both I've been to. Always very friendly staff and everything I've requested for an appointment with them online they're very helpful and fast at getting you in and your fur-baby taken care of. I 100% recommend them.

We switched to this vet this year and have had nothing but great experiences. One of our dogs ended up testing positive for heart worms and just finished up her last treatment and these ladies here have been amazing. She has never been scared to come and is always happy to see the girls. They have all been so nice and helpful through this rough process and we are very glad we made the switch to this vet.

The staff at West Central Vet - Clinton are lovely! They are all so nice and caring. Dr. Hohenstein is the best vet I think I've ever had. He explains everything where I can understand and he answers every question I have, he doesn't rush you. He's just great all around!

Everyone here has been wonderful every time I have needed help on weekends, holidays or after hours!! They care when other area vets refuse to help your pets. We have had help with our dogs and horses. Highly recommend them.

We took our 14 year old beagle here when she began having seizures. Unfortunately the best thing for her, was to let her go. They were kind and caring during the process. They gave us time to say our goodbyes and love on our furry one. The compassionate staff and vet was a comfort during this hard time. We would recommend this office to anyone who cares for their pets.

The Rockville office is excellent. If you have a horse, Ted Harpold's the man to call. He owns horses now and mules in the past, so he knows what he's talking about. Wish I had a vet like him years ago when I was breeding horses. This man is a gem to equine community. I don't know who could ever replace or compare to him. It will be a devastating loss if he retires anytime soon. I've never had an equine vet this knowledgeable. Can't say enough good things about him he's just irreplaceable. They also have a good small animal surgeon up there. My dog had cancer and now he doesn't. They also have a young lady, very tall brunette I believe her name is Michelle that was excellent with my dog. He had never been sick in his life except for the cancer and she checked him thoroughly wasn't cancer but bad diarrhea and vomiting but she got him straightened out.

Had our dog there recently for parvo vet let us know 48 hours in that they recommend her to be euthanized to end her pain that her gi tract had twisted causing this along with parvo or we could try an expensive surgery that she may not make it through. Being that our dogs basically like pur children we opt not to give up hope, brought her to emergency veterinary & specialist on south side of indy where equipped to do the surgery to find out her levels are not terrible the ultrasound revealed no GI twist or flip just has bad inflammation. I spent over $1200 at west central and felt like when we picked up our dog to bring to the emergency vet that that ride would be her last only to find out its not the case at all. Picking her up our pup came out legs covered in blood and I'm assuming diarrhea her eyes gooped up and just filthy someone could have atleast wiped her clean for the ride or even to give a family a little hope for their pet and feel like she'd been in good hands when all in all I feel the exact opposite!!

Staff is awesome. Dr. Evvy is our go to Vet now since Dr. Somerville retired. It's difficult to find someone who wants to learn about alpacas since they require different care than most other ruminants. She really puts her heart into caring for our herd and others near us.

Will NEVER use this practice for any of my pets. They wanted A MINIMUM of $400 to drive a mile down the road to offer an opinion on treatment of a very distressed horse (this did not include any treatment, just for them to drive to my house). West Central Veterinary seems far more concerned with making a buck than with the health and well-being of animals within the community. Not the kind of people I want in charge of the health of my pets.

I read the previous review stating how rude the receptionist was and reluctantly decided to give them a try. I was PLEASANTLY surprised to have an acceptionally polite conversation. She was so helpful and patient with my many questions. The visit hasn't been made yet, but so far so good!

Unfortunately our cat wasn't able to recover from a blood clot which wasnt anyone's fault. They provided excellent care, the curbside pickup/dropoff was very simple and easy.

I love Dr. Somerville but his receptionist is the rudest woman I have ever encountered in 20+ years of handling and scheduling appointments. It's so bad that my entire family have all reluctantly found vets elsewhere. It's unfortunate but when your front desk help is as nasty and unhelpful and makes scheduling an appointment as difficult as it is now, you have no choice. Save yourself the headache and find a vet in Rockville before calling here for an appointment.

These people are terrific at the Clinton & the Rockville IN facilities. Their fees are average with the exception of nail clipping. It costs over $1.00 per claw. I think last time was $14.00 per dog. The vet I had in Georgia would provide the nail clipping for free if you were there to have their shots & stuff. I think that is how it should be everywhere.

Took my small dog in for anal glands. They took her to the back and the cost was over $100The next day she had a sore and was covered with bruises on her belly and by her ears! I took her to another vet and she had an infection and was put on antibiotics.There was no need to hold her so tight as to leave fingerprints on her!!

Very disappointed went in there with my dog having an emergency with respiratory during office hours and they said they cannot see my dog unless I wanted to pay emergency vet fee for the visit. Will not return to this place when I was more than willing to pay for my dog to be seen but to pay for an emergency vet visit during regular hours and their office was not busy is ridiculous!

After recently moving to the area, I was in need of a vet. My issue is that my dog was give shots when she didn't need them. I had brought in the vet records from my old vet. I didn't realize it until it had already been done but she has a 5 yr rabies yet they gave her one anyway... which of course means it was part of the bill. I know part of this responsibility lies with me. I just have a hard time with the concept that I've provided them with past history and they obviously didn't read it. I question returning.
