Traveled to adopt these two little cuties on a Friday 😍 💕 Brought them to the vet after the weekend and Dr was immediately concerned for the females spay incision location as it was more on the side muscles and it was also infected so she had gotten an antibiotic shot that day. They both also had ear mites. This is a rescue, not a breeder where you expect your animal to come back fine and dandy with no issues. I'm grateful for being able to adopt these two and care for them! If you're considering adopting here, I do recommend them as they have the sweetest animals, just make sure you're financially able to care for your animal :)

I adopted my sweet dog Rosie from this shelter back in January of this year. She is the sweetest pup and always greets me at the door when I come home. The staff here do an amazing job of taking care of the animal, giving love to these babes when they need it most. Could not be happier.

Blatantly uses euphemisms about dangerous dogs in their listings to get people to take dogs into their homes.will gladly peddle dogs into society who have bite and attack histories with no concern about the guarantee that it will happen again.

They really go over and above to provide good quality care for their animals, and I was able to adopt the most loving, adorable and fun dog I've ever met. They really care about the animals and will do everything to make sure that they will have a good forever home. I love my new dog and am quite happy with her! Couldn't be more content with my new best friend!

Would not recommend.I picked up a dog from them 2 weeks before Christmas Eve on the dot, and She was amazing. Unfortunately, my son had some allergies that we were previously unaware of, and we had to return her. I scheduled an appointment for the following Saturday, 1 week before the holiday. I was told then that they only use checks for refunds, and when I asked if someone could write me a check while I was there, I was refused. They then waited a week and a half to mail the check.They had over 3 weeks to mail out my refund and simply didn't bother.Slovenly and unprofessional on all levels

This place is amazing! Our 3 year old cat got very sick and was down and out for 7 days. I was on a leave of absence from my job with no pay and could not afford a vet. ARK stepped in and paid for the vet to treat our fur baby. I am happy to say he is 110% better and back to his normal self. So hats off to you ARK. Thank you so very much!

I recently visited your site and was impressed by the quality of care all the animals received. So many friendly,adoptable animals. I recently lost my cat from old age and was finally ready for another kitty. I had all intentions of bringing home a new kitty. But when I got to my appointment I was touched So many cats of all ages. But 2 kittens kept reaching out of their cages for me whenever I walked by.Two brothers..Batman and Robin. Well I couldn't separate them sooooo I gave them both a home. The "dynamic duo " both slept with me the very first night and continue to entertain me with their antics.Thank you ARK and God bless you all. 🙏

Our family was looking for a puppy but decided to try adopting a rescue animal instead. Our only concern was that we had small children. After calling and speaking with as staff member, we decided to schedule an appointment to visit one of their dogs. The staff member was very confident that the dog is great with kids especially since she let the dog play with her own children. We adopted or new family member and never looked back. He is amazing with all of our children. The staff was great and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this animal rescue to anyone.

I was really impressed with this rescue organization! It is a small facility and the staff is incredibly hard-working and dedicated to all the animals at the sanctuary. They were very upfront about all the dogs we were inquired about and helped us make a decision on the dog who best fit our family. It was a great adoption experience. We love our little girl dog! The crew helped me out 2 weeks ago.i called and left a message. She called me back and I told her what was going on and she came out to the house and got my cat had went wild she was protecting her three little babies and she was eating the humans up anybody that was in my house and I didn't stay in the house the night before cuz they're really scared me but I didn't like the outcome like they had to put my cat down but they also got me three foster parents for my kitties and I greatly appreciate everything that she has done I don't know what I've done without her

Some dogs didn't have beds. They just had a tiny baby blanket on the cement. They said the floor was heated but snow was tracked in so the blanket became wet.

We adopted our dog from ark in April 2017, and she's been a great dog. The lady who runs the place is an animal lover, that's the only way to describe her. Also, the adoption fee of $100 is a bargain, in fact we donated another $100 because running a no kill shelter is not cheap. I never felt a money hungry attitude, and appreciate that they asked me a lot of questions before the adoption was finalized.

This is a wonderful rescue/no kill shelter. This is where I got MY dog. They were very sweet, the dog well cared for, and communication was wonderful. Please dont listen to the ignorant, lengthy and misspelled reviews, from others... what kind of loathsome pondscum, gives a no kill shelter a bad review? TROLLS! Ugh. This shelter is awesome and if you have to go through some hoops to adopt a dog, then so be it. Love this place.
