I have tried for 7 months now to get the Baby Registry welcome kit and they never have them in stock. My doctor’s office is over that way, but otherwise this is the closest location and still 45 minutes from where I live. Every time I’ve asked, they just say to “call ahead” (which I do) and “stop by again tomorrow and we may have them”. I was also just told to call Target’s corporate customer service and that I could have one shipped to me, so I did, just to be told the store hasn’t requested them in since last fall. Just largely unhelpful & if you’ve been told about their registry welcome kits all over social media, know they’re virtually impossible to actually get and create your registry elsewhere!

The shoe section was absolutely horrific yesterday. Not a single shoebox was where it was supposed to be (sketchers sneaker boxes underneath high heels, for instance). Open shoe boxes were littered all over the floor. Only obscurely large sizes were available for most shoes. I literally could not believe my eyes 😭 My Target back home never has this problem.

Don’t work here. If you’re looking for a stable job to pay your bills and keep your family alive this is not the job. This target has terrible management they’re constantly firing people, short staffed, and are very VERY picky. The few workers they do have are severely overworked.

I wish i could say i had a good experience but, I didn’t. I was doing all my shopping until it came to the apparel section where i asked this employee Jill where these black pants were at and she said she was going to the back but told me there were none and mislead me into thinking there was and wasted 10 minutes of my time. Additionally, her tone to me seemed like she was already bothered by the request i initially made.

They have to have the laziest order pickup employees in the city. Two Christmas seasons in a row I have placed a pickup order, had multiple items canceled as, “out of stock”, then walked the store and found the exact items.

Same problem. I’ll have to stop coming here.Dear Target, please open self check out when you open, not wait until 9am. Early morning shoppers would appreciate it. One check out person from 7am to 9am is very inefficient. Thank you.

Been trying to call the store for over 30 minutes. my pickup order said it would be ready within 2 hours. i placed the order at 12:45. Im just trying to call to find out when my order will be ready for pickup. rang for 3 minutes straight everytime i called nobody picked up. I work in the service industry and ik it gets busy, but nobody answered any of the 7 times i called.

I love shopping at target but it’s so annoying I can shop outside the store and order for cheaper. I look at stuff at home but as soon as I go to the store it’s more expensive and they “can’t change the price.”

Love this place. I can always get lost in here looking at everything. Always has deals and the new circle deals are wonderful. They always have great deals in the add and adorable dog beds! Love all things from Target.

This Target location has it's pros and it's cons, but mainly cons. Before you waste your time reading this, I'll give you the TL;DR: in Lafayette and most everywhere else, Meijer beats Target when it comes to selection, Walmart beats Target when it comes to price. One major issue would definitely be it's downright pathetic produce department as well as the meat/seafood department. It's bizarre, there are so many aisles of laundry detergent here, and it's sort of insane to have an entire aisle (both sides) dedicated to Tide, but no produce to be found. Target used to have cuter and higher quality clothing, but they can't even say that for themselves--their clothes are hideous now. Just atrocious. The employees are typically polite enough, some are great and some are terrible, but most are satisfactory and courteous. I used to come to this store a ton, but Meijer, or even Walmart would be far better choices as far as selection, price, employee quality, parking, and store cleanliness. Walmart has far better contactless shopping options as well, their drive up, in store pickup, and delivery offerings are superior in almost every way (save for their app's drive up pick up check-in process) especially if you have Walmart+ (which is reduced in price if you use SNAP/EBT.)Honestly just do yourself a favor and go to Walmart if price is your priority, or go to Meijer if selection is most important to you. This Target is not great as far as Target locations go, and as sad as I am to admit as a former Target devotee, they don't offer anything at all that would justify their much higher price point across the board. Not a single thing. Save yourself the money, the headache, and the longing for vegetables that aren't basic af and wilted to death. Avoid it.

When I shop, I so very much appreciate a clean store because it makes me feel good and it is pleasing to my eyes! Target is always clean though (sometimes because of messy shoppers ) it is not always tidy, but that is a given these days no matter where I shop unfortunately. Not everyone was brought up to leave the area where they were looking for something more tidy than when they arrived! This is so important to me because I work in a retail shop and it is often quite messy, constantly needing to be tidied up because folks don’t care how neat they are when they shop, when the employees will take care of it later! Thank you so much for all the effort you make to have your store be so clean and tidy! I appreciate it so much!

Last time I visited this location was to buy toys for a charity gift drive. At the self checkout I was clearly visible to the greeter, but on my way out he insisted on going through my bags and verifying everything against my receipt. Target: I am not a criminal and no one else treats me like one! I don't think I'll be back any time soonUpdate: this review is two years old. Still have not been back

Don't eat the food from the Deli. I do not know who, but a blond long haired employee, wearing a hunters camouflage baseball cap washed her hands and used the air dryer to dry them. The problem with this is, using an air dryer spreads more germs and is more unsanitary to use because of all of the microscopic fecal matter that it spreads throughout the air, on your hands and even more so on the floor and the vents are rarely ever cleaned out so the bacteria from years worth of build up in the vents. So there are higher chances of getting guests and employees sick. Specifically store and corporate executives upon inspection. And while we like to believe these air dryers are better for the planet and save money, they leave more of a carbon footprint, a higher electricity bill and a dirtier bathroom, whereas using biodegradable paper towels is much more sanitary and is more likely to not get anyone sick while turning into mulch in a land fill. The deli is disgusting.

We just stopped in for a couple of items and we were in and out in a flash. This store is very big and I believe that you can find just about anything you are shopping for. Associates are friendly and knowledgeable and eager to assist you with all of your shopping needs. There is plenty of free parking and wheelchair accessible parking. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and the restrooms are also wheelchair accessible. The store is neat and clean and well organized and the shelves are well stocked. An added bonus for your convenience is a CVS Pharmacy Store for all of your prescription drug needs as well as flu shots and vaccines and everything else CVS Pharmacy has to offer their customers. I scheduled an appointment with the pharmacy for a Covid-19 booster vaccine and the first shot of the two shot vaccine for shingles. The pharmacists here are wonderful giving you friendly and knowledgeable and caring assistance for all of your pharmacy and your shopping needs. I highly recommend Target and CVS Pharmacy where you will receive a great customer service experience and shopping experience and great quality and value for your money. Happy shopping!!!

The drive-up option is amazing. I live in Brookston, so I can order before I go into Lafayette, and pick up my order before I go home. No need to have to go back later or another day, because there is no schedule, just a two hour wait. Amazing service!!

I was in the lafayette location today and I just feel the need to leave 5 stars usually when I go into stores I get profiled and followed and harassed by security because of the color of my skin but not here matter a fact the security guard here did the exact opposite he made me feel welcomed and even helped me find a specific storage container. It brings tears to my eyes knowing there’s still good people out there way to go target!

This was my first time visiting this store and it is so huge it's almost overwhelming. The store was neat and clean and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are very reasonable and the store was well shocked. Found some great deals on sale and wandered around a few hours exploring everything that the store carried. Used self checkout which was very convenient. Very nice store and I recommend you go check it out. I really enjoyed my shopping experience and I will be back to shop soon.

If I could give this place no stars I would, tried calling multiple times regarding a lost card. We live out of town and just wanted to know if someone by any chance turned in my father in laws lost card. Called our local target and they answered. Just called ours to verify if they’re company phones work. Just Lafayette Target that don’t answer! 😡
