Knowledgeable, friendly, pet area, shower and laundry available. We are still trying to get my truck fixed but overall I am satisfied. After not being able to repeat the issue I was towed in for I made a decision to replace the part I believe was causing the issue do to codes that where thrown prior to breaking down. They where fast and got me taken care of in a very speedy timeThank you for actually listening to the driver.

As a dealer, freightliner has really come a long way. Parts pricing is extremely competitive with the aftermarket parts stores, and they're very helpful with advise and information for those of us that do most of our own work.EDITthis was before i let their shop touch my equipment. After 4 days down time and a $2400 bill to literally replace the horn button, which was NOT my issue and in no way connected to my initial complaint. LESS than 200 miles after leaving your shop, literally every issue i took it in for is back. itll be a cold day in hell before i do business with you clowns again. (Especially when i tell you i think its a SAM CHASSIS and now after your professional repairs. Im still dealing with.the exact same issues i had before i let you clowns touch it.)

When here a couple times with issues relating my DEF System & each time they said it jst needed a forced regen, well both times the same problem showed back up 30- 45 min down the road. Way to over priced. This is about the Stoops in Lafayette IN. They take your money & don't fix the issue, more like put a bandaid on it. Only thing I liked about this place was the size of the shop & how clean it is, but its not hard to stay clean when there's not much business.

Called in early this morning. Was told they could get the truck right in. Got here 6.5 hrs ago. They finally got the truck in almost an hour ago. Still can't even tell me what's wrong. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is Justin, the morning service writer was very nice.I would recommend avoiding this Stoops in Lafayette Indiana at all costs. And it's still not done. Leaving feeling completely disappointed here.Add: They finally after 10 months want me to call them about my concerns. This seems typical of their response to customers.

This shop was great. The facility was beautiful and clean. They are very nice guys and had a lot of patience with me. They got me right in and there isn’t a 10 day wait. Everyone in the shop spoke with the respect even the manager that sat in the glass room across from check in. They made sure I was back up in running. Zak , Mason, Brandon, and last but not least Derrrick all went of their way to make sure I completely heard and discuss everything with me in detail. Drivers come out and see for yourself they are the best I have dealt with. They even have a dog park for our fur babies. I could go on and on but I’m just going to say go and see for your self what all around quality looks and feel like. ❤️

Brought in my truck for a alternator issue took them 8 days to replace it. Finally they fixed that and killed my Auxiliary unit in process. At that time i had to go after holding my truck hostage so i had to come back to get that taken care of. Unfortunately, they couldn’t figure out what happened. First they be like oh its the blower motor we have ordered it, I waited 4 days and hit me with an ops thats not the issue it’s actually a power distributor, then ops its actually a harness. To me, thats try and error if you are really an electrician, you don’t start replacing parts without testing them that they are actually faulty. They will take their sweet time while charging you for anything they can get hands on. Yes my truck has warranty but 7 days to fix bunk AC? Downtime cost a-lot plus truck payment has to come out of pocket. I got to the point of asking if I could take the truck to experienced technicians but they was charging about 1,300 for diagnosis and replacement of parts that they replaced but wasn’t the issue. Finally 7 days later AC got fixed, received an email that truck ECT will be noon, i called just to verify around 1700 and the operator be like “that truck will be ready next week.” By far the worst stoops i have been at and a complete waste of time, money and poor customer service at this location is astonishing.I wouldn’t recommend this facility at all to anyone mostly if you are an owner op. Stay away.

This place is really clean and professional indeed. Bill is a pleasure to speak with and to get things done. The shop is spotless which shows they all take pride in Thier work. The upstairs driver lounge is nice. A window you can watch out off into the shop. Laundry room, shower room, chairs, tv, table, microwave.

Truck went down on a Monday. Limped in here and they diagnosed the problem and had me rolling again on Tuesday morning. Plenty of room to drop a trailer. Highly recommend this shop if you need work done.

Just want to share my experience at this location.Customer service was amazing just want to say thank you Grant for warm welcoming. I had a problem with my semi they put it on the computer as soon as a arrived there, they told me it needs a new mcm, they looked everywhere couldnt find one, and then the manager looked up with my serial number and said “I do have one in the back, you are one ☝🏾 luckiest person”. And he said “I’ll give you a better deal because you have been patient with us”. And they put their most experienced mechanic on my truck, he know exactly what he is doing. Thank you Tim for taking caring of my truck and get me back on the in the same day. Ask for Tim if you are going there for repair. So far I ran over 1500 mile on it no problem.Thank you Stoops quality. Everyone there is 👍🏽, I had an awesome experience!!! I had to give when a credit is due

My accessory belt broke on my Freightliner Cascadia and I was 5 miles away from Stoops Freightliner in Lafayette, IN. They close at 12am and I was able to make it there at 11:30pm. They night shift was so helpful and they stayed over and put my belts on, trying to make sure I was able to get back on the road. Unfortunately my guardian angels did all they could but my belt snapped hoses and harnesses. Causing my antifreeze to leak out. So they allowed me to stay in my truck and they even offered to take me to a hotel. I just stayed in my truck so I can get in first thing in the morning. I was able to get in first thing in the morning and they took care of my issues and got me out in the same day. Bill Houfner on the 2nd shift is really nice and professional. A true blessing. He stayed on the techs making sure they got everything fixed right. He made me feel at ease and I knew my truck was in good hands. The techs that stayed over were really nice and professional and a blessing. They all were a blessing to me and I appreciate them all. I definitely will be bringing my truck here for work. Thank you Stoops Freightliner.

I don’t normally do reviews but one needs to be done on Zak Landes. I had a kinda complicated situation and Zak was able to get it all figured out. He went above and beyond and handled everything fantastic. I’d absolutely come out of my way to come back to Stoops because of his professionalism. He’s an asset to your company.Thank you so much Zak!

Got my 2013 Freightliner cascadia in due to a transmission high gear issue on Tuesday morning and pretty much got an diagnostic within a couple hours and was repaired and on my way the next day afternoon. There’s some nice truck driver amenities(clean restrooms & showers, laundry, tv lounge and vending). Overall really nice guys in service that communicate very with you. The only down side to stoops is they’re the best you’re gonna get with service and professionalism so be prepared to pay $$$. There’s not any discounts that you’d normally get with your local desiel mechanics here. Thanks!

I was towed into the shop in Lafayette for a de-rating issue. Not only did they not fix my truck, they created a safety issue that could have cost me, or others around me our lives.I'll start with the de-rating. They kept trying to make this my fault, by saying I idle my truck too much. They also said that I had a nox sensor that was going bad, but not bad enough for a warranty repair (i.e. not broken enough). It turns out that the def line into the doser was broken so, there wasn't enough def fluid getting into the system to clear the soot. Not an idling issue. There were also two(2) bad nox sensors and with the combination of the repaired def line(at another dealer), solved the problem. Now for the bigger issue. Since my truck was towed in, it had the drive shaft separated. The tow driver said it seemed the u-joints had excessive play.I had the shop check them and they said they were fine. The problem comes from the fact that they did not torque the bolts on the drive shaft and were it not for another de-rate situation, I would not have found out that the bolts were coming free. The second tow driver(in Arizona), said that it would not have been much longer before the drive shaft would have come free, the straps would have punctured my fuel tanks, the drive shaft would have severely damaged the underside of my truck and possibly pole vaulted me off of the road, with the possibility of injury or worse to me and other vehicles around me.There are some things that are forgivable, this is not one of them. This is the 3rd time I've been to one of the Stoops/Truck Country dealers. I have never had a good experience with them. I would not have gone to Lafayette, if I had a choice. Yet, here we are.Eventually, my truck did get repaired at a reputable dealer, including nox sensors, and my life was not endangered.I was charged $585 for 2 regens and an SCR. Got told that there was large amount of dirty exhaust going through the system from idling "too much". This was not the case. It was a broken def line such that the exhaust wasn't being treated effectively, and was causing soot to build up and cause a de-rate - even at 65mph.My truck was "completed" on a Saturday but, I couldn't be invoiced until Monday, because the tech on duty wasn't sure about warranty coverage (software not covered), or how to bill that(not his fault).Overall, this experience was terrible. The people seem nice enough but, I'm not looking for friendships. I'm looking to have my vehicle repaired in as an efficient manner as possible, with the least amount of outlay in cash. Extra days in a hotel, careless and dangerous oversights and an unwillingness to even attempt to contact warranty group to get approval for items that are clearly failing, are not the pinnacle of service. This ended up costing me thousands of dollars more and could have cost me my life. One more thing: All the shops where I have been or mentioned this issue to, universally state how difficult the after treatment systems are and that it can take multiple tries to get it right. If this is the case then, when there is an identifiable issue, shouldn't you do everything in your power to correct that?Further, how is it that an issue of a broken def line(that is easily identified apparently) can get overlooked multiple times? Either you are not looking or you are just trying to get your little piece before you pass it along to someone else. Either way the implication is not very good.

The people are great to work with and knowledgeable but their business practices are shady. Went in for valve adjustment and pass through seals. Somehow during this a coolant line that I can't find anywhere near the work being performed "broke" one guy told me they would cover, shop guy said no. They didn't have the line and told me next day. I offered and went and picked up the line from another dealer and brought it back. They still charged me double their cost for the part, and 900 dollars for labor. Not to mention they didn't tell me 2 lines had to be replaced, at my expense. So a total of 1200 extra dollars spent for a coolant line that just broke. Can't trust big shops. Also was there for 12 hours.

Very disappointed, Luckily I was not paying the bill. Truck was towed in, injector pump went out. I asked the person that wrote up the service order if the can keep my refrigerator plugged in using a 50" extension cord I provided. He agreed to my request. Before I left the lot, I made certain the fridge was plugged in and everything was cool. 3 days later, I went to the truck to get some things I needed for the road. I knew I was looking at 2+ weeks till repaired. When I had gotten there, truck had been moved. NO extension cord coming from it. They DID NOT keep it plugged in as we agreed, $100 of groceries wasted, plus, extension cord was never returned with the truck.Extra detail, when I went to the truck, NOBODY asked me why I was there or why I was in the truck. I could have been anybody and just be a looter.

Checked in at 7 AM Monday morning. Had to replace release lever on fifth wheel and had a regen issue. Had to order the part. Understandable. Got a hotel and stayed overnight. Part came in the next day and fifth wheel was fixed around lunch. They parked my truck and let it sit all day. Here it is 9 pm on Tuesday night, not a single tech in the shop doing ANYTHING. Service consultant sitting on his can. My companies footing the bill or I would have been taken off. This place has been an absolute disappointment. If you’re an owner Op, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere if at all possible. Looking at 36 hours roughly for something that should have taken a day day and a half max!

It’s been about 1 month now since I took my columbia in to have the front turn signal light diagnosed as well as a vibration. My first call from them was to inform me it cost $1100 just for the diagnosis. Apparently they found out I can’t run eld bulbs on my tail end for this amount of money. They also informed me that most of the components on my driveshaft were loose or had play in them. When they told me it would be $3900 by the time they were done. I thought that was ridiculous but ended up letting them do it hoping for some quality work without any problems. It was almost immediately that I found out none of the stuff they did fixed the vibration. Not only that but my radio quit working after they messed with it and the same turn signal they supposedly fixed again went out 1 week later. The mechanic I have looking at it this week says there was still things lose and the U joints were put in backwards so they could not be greased. They kept trying to upsell the fact that they were doing me a service by taking it to Rowe truck equipment to have the major work done. That’s not a convenience. In fact it’s quite the opposite that you can’t do it in house and it’s a joke that they are charging for it. Long story short is that you will pay a lot of money here whether they fix anything or not.

Took 5 days to replace the waterpump...and then I lost a gallon of antifreeze because a hose wasn't connected back correctly. And it's the first time I've ever been charged a separate diagnostic fee for each problem when it was all diagnosed at one time...it wasn't a hose ...they broke the extention on the reservoir and moved the clamp on top of the Crack to hide it...but denied doing it of course.

Had a bit of a negative experience there. Turned out I was mistaken. Throughout the ordeal, Zak was patient and extremely helpful. At the end of the day, they turned a negative experience into a positive one.

Amazing experience at this dealership. I came in with DPF problems on my Cascadia. Called in and spoke to Tasha(super nice and respectful) who advised me to drop the trailer at their trailer yard. Although there mechanics were busy with other trucks but Daniel came during his break to check on my truck.. super helpful. They were about to close and couldn't do anything but Advised me to have the truck checked in the morning @ 7. I was hoping the shop to be operational by 7:30 but I was surprisingly wrong coz the shop was operational around 6:30... Never seen at any dealership or mechanic shop..They put one of their best mechanic, Tim ( Knowledgeable and Hardworking) on my truck... This guy jumped on his job right away and start looking at the problems.Explained me the whole situation with DPF. Got the job done in timely manner... In the meantime I get to see the shop and talk to parts guys... They were also very nice and respectful. Very genuine guys...The past experience with other dealership were horrible and I was expecting the same from them but I was completely WRONG.This dealership changed my mind and I wish them success... What a great team working here... Couldn't find a single rude person.. Definitely worth coming here and I would suggest everyone in the area to visit this place if they ever run into any Frieghtliner problems....

Had a broken fairy ring (tractor wings by the fuel tank)and front bumper ... and after more than a week of back and forth ..they had it in with an estimate of 7400 dollars ..which was reduced to 6400 dollars....momentarily though .... even then I was all happy after 10 days everything would be fixed ... turns out there mechanic's did not check broken fariy ring spot very well .... and now they can't get it on there ... and also the best part charged me 7400 dollars for that... fixed the bumper and dumped me the fairy ring parts to go fix it at a body shop place... awesome job guys ...... honestly try to work hard and then to manipulate to get peoples hard earned..which I don't have alot ..... shame ... honestly..
