I just shopped at pet smart and I got everything I needed I stopped by the car room to say hello and the cat started sneezing blood and I was concerned and we told the lady at the register and she just said I’ll look into it and basically had no compassion and as someone who worked at a pet store it’s kind of ridiculous I get bad days but you should have compassion for a cat and be more customer service friendly. I called management to talk to a manger about the situation and she basically dismissed it and it’s ridiculous it also sounded like the cashier we had and It just genuinely doesn’t sit right that they wouldn’t even have compassion over this cat and as a concerned person it’s really sad to see how a person can treat the situation as a dismissal. Genuinely customer service and being in a job like that you should be compassionate and not dismiss a sick cat. it’s disgusting!

02/06/24- We went to get parrot food. My wife is the regular shopper. I was there for the first time.The store is clean. The restrooms are clean. They have all you need for all types of pets. I walked around and I enjoyed the pets for sale.The cashier had a line to get out but it didn't stop her from smiling. She had a great attitude. I didn't get her name. I'll go back to shop for a fish.

Have been to the same PetSmart in Lafayette. And all three times was told no. We can't sell you fish. Then made us feel like we are bad people for buying fish. Told us we don't know how to take care of fish. Will not be going back.

Good staff and customer service every time I’ve gone in and I go in pretty often. I will say they could definitely stock up inventory (might be out of their control) on popular items a little better but for the most part I’ve been able to find what I need in some way shape or form and the prices can be a smidge much but what isn’t now a days.I will say some items are way harder to find for bigger dogs and you’ll have better luck and more options online.

Took My Young Beautiful Bride to Lafayette for a Doctor's appointment and afterwards we went to the petsmart, very clean place and organized.The employees were extremely helpful and guided us to the cat food we were looking for.Excellent.

Seems to be the best pet store in the area. Clean, the staff were nice and helpful. Wide selection of fish and some adoptions of cats. Snakes, reptiles, birds, etc.

I'll be honest by saying that petsmart at this location is very unprofessional, very mean. Very mean spirituality and working here is definitely a no go. Please avoid this place at all costs especially if you want to be a groomer. They waste alot of time and don't care about you.

Please read this entire review before ever purchasing an animal at Petsmart:In September of 2022, our family purchased a kitten from petsmart. The kitten was stumbling and seemed to have problems balancing but we were told he was just young and that’s why. A day later, we saw that he was no longer able to open his eyes and he would pace the perimeter of the room as if to map the space out without seeing it. He also had eye discharge and wasn’t eating. We took him to the vet, and they said he had an upper respiratory infection as well as a parasite and mites. We paid around $400 for medicine and delivered it as instructed, yet over the next five days he got worse and worse, to the point where he was breathing but not moving. We brought him back to the vet and she said he was septic and the most humane option would be to put him down. The vet also wondered why petsmart would sell us such a visibly ill animal, especially when they gave us vet papers certifying the kitten as having been looked at and deemed healthy. This has been incredibly EXPENSIVE and TRAUMATIC for our family, hence me writing this months after. It’s terrible and evil to sell a sick animal to families who will get attached to it. Kitten was only $90, yet all of the vet bills and euthanasia costs are over $600. If i had more free time, I’d be suing this criminal organization. Go literally anywhere else, get a sick cat for free.

Typically I go to Buckles for my beardies food, but I needed bedding for my beardie and Petsmart has the kind i prefer to use, so I just said to heck with making an extra stop and ordered food too. Now, im used to getting wax worms and having like 2-5 be dead and that's pretty typical regardless of where I get them, but those were all alive for once so that's pretty dope. Now, I also got two 35ct of giant mealworms, typically i have no issues with any being dead, but today, today was different. Between both containers I found 28 dead mealworms. That's literally almost an entire container.. So just to make everyone aware, don't order food online, go in and look at it yourself before purchasing, because apparently employees don't think to or care to check that kind of thing. I would have given 1 star, but the staff is always very friendly with me and all my wax worms were alive. 🤷♀️

The guy wouldn't sell me a fish because the the pamphlet he read said my tank is not the right size. I have had fish tanks all my life. Right now I have 15 tanks. All my fish are happy and alive. I know damn good and well that the pamphlets are not always right. The fish I was buying was one that I have a lot of and I know what they can be in.

Best pet store in the area. They keep the animal habitats cleaner than anyone else locally. They ask the right questions when people are getting new critters. The local pet supply plus has horrible animal husbandry and the local pet store doesn't have a great selection of pets or ask the right questions.

This place used to be awesome and it’s definitely not the groomers fault. They are terrific with our dogs. We will be looking for a new place now. They only take walk-ins for “pawdicures” and with our two Labs that can be an adventure. One time make an appt. The next we don’t do appts. Call the call center to schedule.. oh we don’t do that anymore .. it’s ridiculous. So I can say for sure that this is our last time going to this store/company for anything. Good luck .

This place has everything you could possibly need for your pet. Some of the more common items, like kitty litter, are priced better at Walmart, but the place makes up for that with convenience.

Young girl working named Jordan, could use a lesson in customer service, specifically how to speak with customers. Also she needs to be educated on the fish she sells. The fish she refused to sell to me for her lack of knowledge, Aquarium world was much more pleasant and offered me 2 different types of fish based on what I was needing!!! I will never shop here again and will make sure I let the District mgr know about my first experience here!

Really enjoy this store but, I feel, (my opinion only), their massive selection of dog food could be cut back, advertising more varieties online. Would definitely appreciate a better selection of dog leashes e.i., head halters, hands free leads, rope leads/slip leads. I would also mention a bigger and much wider selection of live aquarium plants and substrates.Their cashiers/customer service reps are always very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, although tracking someone down for assistance within the isles can be a bit of a challenge.

Went there today to buy a goldfish and the lady would not sell me one. Told me I had to have a pond for it not a tank. In absolute disbelief over a 36 cent fish. And thats after a 10 minute lecture about goldfish. Will not be wasting my time going back after traveling almost 40 miles to even get to the store.

Staff was friendly but I feel taken advantage of. I have a reactive dog, I don’t like cutting her nails so I take her to groomers. I bought a basic bath and nail package, when I was told she was ready I was told “she did great!” and I was handed the slip to pay upfront before I saw her. Only AFTER I paid was I told that she did not receive a nail trim, which was my primary reason for going. I understand my dog is reactive but I paid for a service I didn’t receive and was only told after. If they would’ve only charged me for the bath I would’ve given this experience 5 stars.

From the moment I walked in and asked for help, a lady with short blonde hair was super rude. I asked nicely for help and she just stood there and said, "ok" with an attitude. We were trying to buy fish and she refused to sell me fish. She was super rude! Will not be returning here again.
