Not the best Payless, but it's a grocery store at least! Been there three times and every time the staff seem to somehow ring up extra stuff, miss mark stuff, or just make it a challenging experience. I would suggest the other Payless locations if you want to shop.

What a great store! I love to shop here. They have such fresh produce, meat and seafood counters, a wide variety of foods and personal care products, and friendly, helpful workers like Christopher! He was stocking produce and he helped 3 people before he helped me. He used his app to send me directly to the sushi dept, which had the sliced ginger I was looking for.

I tried to give this Payless pharmacy a chance, but after 3 chances I'm going back to Walgreens. I've had 2 interactions/one in person interaction at this pharmacy. Each time the staff had attitude which I clearly saw, and could hear it over the phone. First impressions mean everything and they're staff exhibits a sense of unpleasantness which I can takemy business somewhere else

I usually go to the other 3 Payless stores in Greater Lafayette, but I was in the area of the Maple Point Drive one today, so I set pickup for there. However, upon arrival I could not figure out where to go for pickup. At the other stores, there are - at least last I was there - signs with arrows to both find the spot, and an area that's fairly obvious in the regular parking lot. At this store, it turns out the pickup area is off to the side, where even the numbers for the parking spots are on the side of the building instead of posts sticking up. I only found it by parking and calling in the store, and the person who called said, "yeah, we just took down our signs." Once I found the spot, I ended up seeing those signs tucked away in a corner -- picture attached to review. I later called, and when I finally talked to a manager, he said he was only doing what he was told and to call the corporate number to complain. I asked him if all the stores are removing signs, and he said he can only speak for his store.When I finally got through the corporate line -- after all the prompts, holds, and getting disconnected by the first agent who sounded like she was in her car -- the 2nd agent said he couldn't really answer anything, but would send the complaint on (and said he was giving me a store credit).I am angry that I drove needlessly all through the parking lot to find something that was not there and nothing to help, and also because it makes no sense to do. The ONLY POSSIBLE reason permanently removing signs to find a pick up spot makes sense is if Payless/Kroger is planning to "wind down" the option for pickup. Getting rid of pickup would infuriate me -- for one, covid is not over (I know 2 people who JUST had it), and some of us are still trying to avoid it. Also, I know that grocery pickup has been positively life changing for people with disabilities.

This payless location is the Buffalo Wild Wings on Creasy lane Of grocery stores.The payless at back lane is a 1000 times superior and I find it hard to believe this palace can't deliver the same service. All because of their customer support/money services department. I'm not sure if it's because of lack of staff but the service is sucks. Like how do you fail as grocery store.The lady with the Karen haircut and dog tattoo, yeah you know who you are... is such a pain. It's crazy she can close the money services department whenever she pleases. Is she a manager? How does she get away with this?! I once asked her what the operation hours. And she couldn't give me a straight response avoiding the question.The rest of the staff are young kids who have no clue what it's going on. Just confused about everything in general. And can't give me a straight answer about the Money services department hours.Christ, I never thought I would rant about a Payless money services department on a friday evening lol

I hate to post a bad review when there was a time that Payless pick up was the best. Unfortunately, that is no longer true. The grocery pick up has become a bigger hassle than doing it myself in the store. I have had more than a handful of items not picked but marked as picked, got home and realized the items I was missing. Their customer service to make it right is unimpressive. Don't bother using this service unless you plan to go through your bags thoroughly & go back in the store to get what was missing.

Tried to purchase a clearance item that was clearly displayed clearance.When person from the dept checked item did so by phone not physically go to display where item was. I wentto display with employee item verified clearance on display but I was advised this was error. He wouldn't sell at discount price.Disgusted with this store

So many negatives, so little time. I've noticed here lately that the few good workers this location had are now gone. Oh well! As long as that profit and loss sheet continues to be acceptable no need to look at anything else.

One bad apple ruins it for the entire basket. Customer service has really gone down especially there. Pharmacy excellence good customer service. Most cashiers nice. One needs to go rude, and always crabby. No matter time of day.

I enjoy shopping in store, convenient and close to home, but today, I feel was wrong was in self check out, awaiting help while some short white blond woman, was conversating, with young black male, not helping or helping customers, with short fake muscles security watching, I went to other self check out, and said, ppl just talk while working, as I left, I tsk, and payless tsk back, I said do your job, I'm a customer waiting on assistant, security try to intimate, I Saud I'm a veteran, I scare, she pick up phone as to call someone, I said I ve outside, so payless employed ppl, can talk on cellphone while working really, I reported to Nathan, he said he will do something

I do curbside pickup for my family at this location and Tara the manager is INCREDIBLE. She gets 10 stars if I could! She is one of the reasons I choose this store over other options for curbside as there are many options around town. She goes above and beyond to make sure we are happy customers and on top of that she is genuine and kind. Highly recommend shopping here!Update:Steven is wonderful too!! So so helpful and so nice.

We usually get the click-list pick-up from this location. I have been pretty upset with a lot of the groceries that we have been getting this past year. It’s been getting worse too. We’ll get pre-packaged produce that has already started to mold and spoil, bread that has already started to get mold (not set to expire for weeks; there’s nothing better than opening a fresh loaf of bread to make sandwiches for kids and realizing it’s covered in mold), and I can’t even explain what is going on with their meat and butchery. We don’t even get meat from here anymore. We’ve had too many instances of multiple different cuts of meat that are already spoiled, clear holes in packaging with the exposed meat rotting, and packages of pork chops or steaks that have clearly had random chunks of meat thrown in to match a given weight. The click-list people and managers have been great and customer service has always let us exchange stuff when we get the chance to be back in town, but it honestly defeats the purpose of setting stuff up ahead of time for pickup if we have to spend 30 minutes one way to drive on back for exchanges.

Cashier named Melissa was lazy. She didn’t want to process my order when the computer said to let her pay with card. I went to Walmart instead and it was cheaper anyways. Not coming back.

I won't be back to this store. I don't come to this location often, I think this was my second trip in four years, and I won't be coming back. The store is arranged in a way that makes it hard to find things for people who don't frequent that store. In addition they don't have some common items - such as toilet bowl cleaner and they are higher on somethings than other stores. So I was wondering the store from one end back to the other and apparently this was seen by the management as suspect behavior and I was stopped at the door because they thought I shop lifted. I can't even express my displeasure at that action. Don't worry management I won't be back.

We usually shop at this store, today I was most impressed.As we approached checkout we noticed the lines backing up, we weren't the only ones---As we got in line all line lights came on to open but that's not what's impressive, the impressive part is that they ran out of employees to man all stations so the assistant manager who was in charge came out to bag groceries. I own a business and that's what I would do. Glad to see the get it done attitude.

Taelynn, front end cashier on self checkout has always treat me and my fiance negatively. Her attitude is horrible. All encounters have been negstive we are always last helped , at times she is off chatting with customer service desk with other employees as I sit there and wait for 5 minutes till I ask for help from all 4 employees chatting, and today she told me I couldn't use a self checkout machine because she was working on it. No where around and told me to go to another and then proceed ed to walk away from it and go to the cigarette container for another customer with no problem and let 2 other customers use the checkout we were going for and then proceeded to make us wait last to be served when we called for an attendant first. Worst customer service experience yet at payless and I used to work there. She needs help.

Worst store ever. My wallet dropped out of my pocket. Someone picked it up stole everything in it. And the store tells me they will not look at the camera for me law enforcement has to ask them. This is the last time I spend any more with this trash place

After FOUR trips back and forth to get the digital coupon that HAS TO BE LINKED a Pay-Less Super Markets account, I STILL was overcharged for other items! The employees try to help, but the too familiar: "We are short-staffed" excuse is all they can say. So, I will fight back this way, and WON'T be shopping anyplace that uses DIGITAL coupons and "loyalty" accounts. That means Kroger.

We stopped in for variety of itemsWe had home out of our way to go to this Payless by the Tippecanoe mallThe store itself is clean and bright not too busy at 4pmOur visit was disappointing at the checkoutThere was a customer in front of us who was rudely overlooked for checkout while the checker proceeds to check out a friend before going back and checking out the man who was due next. We. Then were checked out and couldn't understand a word the checker mumbled to us we completed the transaction. We may not be back to this store employees need to be aware that each encounter with customers reflects on the whole visit

This Payless is our favorite place to shop for groceries, it is always clean, the people are friendly but not pushy, the sale prices are great, the meat department always has a good-looking selection, and the produce department looks amazing, clean, and well-organized after the remodel! The Click List online ordering system has also been helpful, especially for staying within a budget. ;) We actually work at a competing grocery store, but we still drive out of our way to shop here.
