If you live nearby this is a great place to do a lot of your grocery shopping. You might not be able to find more speciality items, but they still have a very good selection, fresh produce, and affordable prices (especially if you get their plus card.) Overall it provides just about everything you could want from a typical grocery store.

12/16/23- I went in and shopped for donuts. It was nice to see the shelves stocked. I use a cashier to keep them employed. It's nice to interact with them. I have not had a problem with them being upset or tired. Pleasant experience with the cashiers.On self checkout they have helpful crew members ready to help if you're in a hurry.Sign up for emails. Terrible place to shop, worst customer service ever. I recently had surgery and called the store to see if an motorized shopping cart could be brought to me and was told the motorized shopping carts can't leave inside the store. I asked the customer service are you telling me you don't want my business? A kind man bringing in shopping carts brought one out to me and I was so outraged by this experience I asked to speak to a manager to relay this experience and the manager said it was their policy not to allow the shopping carts out of the store, she (the manager) went on to say technically they shouldn't allow customers to use the carts to take their groceries out to their vehicles, I asked how do you expect people to get their groceries to their vehicles and her reply was well they had to walk into the store to get the shipping cart. The other Payless stores in Lafayette are more than happy to help their customers, I explained this to the manager and she agreed but said this store has different policies.

When all of your baggers take off to go on break (at the same time) or get carts out in the parking lot, their position should be covered up front. That's just courtesy to your shoppers (that didn't come there to work some more after already putting in a full day at their jobs).

They have good products and produce, and I was pleasantly surprised by the good customer service I received today. Seth was stocking produce and took time to compliment my shirt, and I was wished a good week by another associate on my way out. The self checkout is seamless as well.In the past their employees have been helpful whenever I have questions, and Noe was fast and friendly bringing my pickup order. Overall, I would highly recommend Pay Less for all your grocery needs!

Stay away from their deli meat right now, someone wasn't cleaning the meat slicer and the family just had the worst case of food poisoning ever from their pickle loaf,old fashioned loaf or black forest ham. Every since they ran save a lot out of the area they've done nothing but price gouge. $10 for a 12 of soda, come on. No supply chain issues anymore. No wonder they have such a high theft rate. All the digital coupons now, not old ppl friendly at all. Should really change their name to "Paymore"

I bought 4 items and had some young punk confront me on my way out accusing me of stealing. Surprise, surprise, he looked at my receipt and realized I didn’t steal anything. Maybe go back to checking people out instead of making your customers do your job.

Everyone is always so friendly. I love the pick up process it’s easy quick and they have my order out within five minutes of me arriving. When I shop in the store, everything is always stocked except for maybe some sale items that are a weekly deal, but I can always go to customer service and get a rain check. And I love that.

That store is a joke! The employees are rude, lazy or chatting with co workers or just ignoring everyone. I had to tell a couple how to do there job and then they forgot to put a whole bag of stuff in my cart. I live 25 mins from this store and it would have cost more in gas to go back then the stuff was worth and they would refund unless I went back so I said forget it. I will not go back to that hot mess of a store again

I swear there's something going on in the Corporation not the local store [ why I can find better food quality in high income areas] this isn't even expired " " clearly rotten all over idk if the big place won't budget upgrades or pushed lower end down hill and i have found many items rotten before the "expired date" for real slow down check your stuff

I usually get my cakes from Payless. I ordered one from another place and was so disappointed. The icing was 2 inches thick and the cake was dry. Payless employees helped me last year when there was a shortage on chocolate cake mix. I ordered 24 cupcakes and they had to go to another store to get the items they needed for my order and had it done in 24 hrs. KUDOS and I will be a returning customer

Been shopping at this particular Pay-Less for years, and Maria is my favorite person. She doesn't really have a typical CS personality, but she always tries her best to do the job -- very professional and helpful, yet maintaining space which I highly value (not a chit-chat person myself).Pay-Less/ Kroger has good customer service if you contact the corporate. For whatever issues I have in store, once I contact the corporate I get a response within a couple of days.Wish this particular store offers sushi though, like the one in Maple Point Dr.

Multiple just plain theft! After 30 years shopping with Kroger and Payless, I will no longer deal with their insanely rude customer service and illegal charges. While I could probably win over $200 in small claims from them, even filing with the BBB is useless because they are rated F and don’t care about what anyone thinks of them. I have actually wanted to punch their customer service it is that bad. Definitely don’t do delivery orders! -10 stars on delivery!

Kinda busy today. Had a package of hamburger patties that was open when we picked them up they fell out of package onto the floor, Was hard to find a worker to turn them into as they were busy. Store was clean, but not stocked. They were out of a quite a bit of the items on my list that I needed. Had to switch up my shopping list due to either not in stock or due to the inflation of prices.

Watch a store scooter tip over on someone. When I helped that person and lifted the scooter off of them I noticed that the front wheel was zip tied instead of bolted together. I said something to costumer service, but when I was walking out of the store the scooter was plugged in waiting on the next unaware person to get on it!

I haven't had a bad experience until now. I ordered my usual Kroger Spotlight coffee beans for delivery, and when I opened the bag today, they were rancid. They smelled so bad it was enough to make me gag.They're usually the best for the price, but I guess you get what you pay for. I'm going to shell out some more for a better quality brand like Peet's next time.

Love their store brand items! Especially their diet soda! Good variety and great flavors. Gas rewards is an awesome positive too. Store is clean, well organized and staff is super friendly. They have a self check out too which I love going to when I have a bunch of quarters and I'm going to pick up a few items.

The big k (store brand) cream soda is nearly as good as a&w. It’s about all I drink anymore, as it’s $4.28 a 12 pack instead of like $7.99 for a&w these days

I am very disappointed in the service at this store today! My wife was just in the lunch meat section and asked a lady if you guys carried an item that would be in that area. The employee responded with I don't have any idea and you need to go over there and see. I still remember a time when customer service required any employee on the premises to be of assistance to their customers. And if the employee doesn't know the answer they assist the customer by finding a fellow employee that does. But I guess this is how you guys treat your customers. My wife felt like the employee was rude and didn't care to be helpful at all! My wife is a great person and should never have to feel this way after asking for assistance from your employees! Again I am extremely disappointed in your stores customer service. Have a great day.

I ordered a full size veteran theme cake for a party today. When I called to ordered I was super excited for this lady, she seemed to happy and excited. So I was thrilled and happy to see the cake. Day of me getting the cake I walk up to the bakery and the vibe was negative. 2 people were cussing n slamming stuff not sure why. I eventually found someone else n got the cake. The cake was not that good. Sloppy writing, border icing was sloppy and you can tell they didnt take much time to really get into it. I was very disappointed. Honestly will not buy a cake there ever again.
