I took my baby here because I was working a lot and the hotel I was temporarily at was giving me a lot of issues. They were friendly and really cared about animals. My dog was taken care of. I ended up coming back home and the rehoming process was so easy. They sent us home with a new carrier as well as leash and harness. These are good people! And I'm thankful for little places like this. They deserve a lot of love!!!

Thank you for our fur baby, Ernie now Maverick! Your process was through and people need to understand it does take time to ensure a match for the dog and your house hold. Maverick is a complete fit with our family. Rescues are the best #adoptdontshop

I had a wonderful visit at Natalies Second Chance No Kill Shelter. I picked out my fur baby Paco, a Rat Terrier/ Chihuahua mix. He is so amazing and. I am very grateful to be his new mommy. He is very handsome and well mannered and ajusted great in his new home. Natalies takes very good care of their animals. And they do a complete check in adoption process. I highly recommend them.

This place has ALWAYS been disgusting, dogs in their own fecal matter and urine. The workers were very disrespectful to one of my friends, and I don’t know how this place hasn’t been shut down. Gross.

This place comes off as very friendly at first. That’s how they get you a dog. They have a 2 week foster period to see if the animal is a fit for you and your family. If it is then you get to adopt if not they say you can bring the dog back and keep looking until you find the right one.Not the case at all. They are extremely rude and unprofessional if you return the dog within the 2 weeks. Also said they are done with us. We only fostered one dog. For a week.We have other animals and children so this was a great idea for us to see if another animal would work. That’s why we chose this place. However if you have to return the animal be ready to get an ear full from the “former cop” Jackie.Avoid JACKIE AND THIS PLACE!Better off buying an animal than supporting this place!AVOID JACKIE AND THIS PLACE!Avoid Jackie and this place!AVOID THIS PLACE AND JACKIE!

Just save your time and look somewhere else. The workers here are lazy, they never answer any phone calls, and are rarely, if at all, open. At this point they'd be better off shutting down.

Went for a tour of the dogs available today. What an amazing collection. Chihuahua mixes up to Lab and German Shepherd mixes. Foster dogs that need extra care and a calm place to heal. Come and see these young to older dogs. Volunteers are needed for daily walks and cage cleaning. Donations are always welcome at this no kill rescue.

I went in to volunteer to walk a dog for the first time today. Although they were very busy, I felt like everyone was being assisted and nobody seemed to be waiting. I walked a sweet and lovely dog for about an hour and when I returned, I was thanked by name! That's pretty incredible, I think! I hope that anyone who wants a dog will look here first! The staff is friendly and attentive. All the dogs appeared to be healthy and with adequate space for each. I'll be volunteering more often as this is a great cause close to my heart!

I love this place, I've had two dogs in my lifetime and both times I've had to place them up for adoption for personal reasons, and this place always made my family and I feel welcome. you can definitely feel the love for the animals in this place, I just took my dog in yesterday, I called and they told me give them an hour and they would have a spot for him, and indeed they did. I'm sure he will have a new home in no time, the staff is very friendly and communicate with you to make you feel as comfortable as possible. thank you .

Many years ago I adopted an adorable cream chow from your facility who I renamed Dulcie Mae Robertson. Her name at the shelter was Brooklyn.. She was the love of my life and we went everywhere together. April 10 2020 she developed cancer and we had the surgery. She lived 4 days and died in my arms. She was almost 15 yrs old and I miss her. Thought you would like to know

My husband, daughter and my self all went in to see if we could find a dog that we wanted adopt. As we were walking up there were atheist 6 to 7 people outside of the business that all just starred at us. Then when we got inside we were meet with another 10 people all sitting around doing nothing and the place smelled absolutely horrible. We asked if we could see the dogs to see if there was one that we wanted to adopt. We got dirty looks from everyone and told they were closed. We asked when they would open agian and they said we are closed to the public. So we left I got online to see if I could find out anything. And it turns out we walked in an hour after they opened. Wordt experience ever with a dog shelter. My family will take our business elsewhere.

I would love to post a great review from my experience adopting a fur baby and giving them a forever home for Christmas. But I can’t ....After trying to get in touch with them to set an appointment to see about adopting “Clifford” I can’t get anyone to answer the phone. During their open hours the phone just rings and rings . Then after cutting me off I call back and the line gives a busy signal ...... glad my life isn’t in their hands ..!!!!!# Iwantclifford.....

Everybody at Natalie's are great. We rescued our dog there and they helped us out a lot. We got the best dog, I know everyone feels that way about their dogs. We had been looking for quite a while and we found our pup at Natalie's and would recommend them to everybody.👍

I got my dog Tigger from this shelter, her formal name was Baby.My dog was on death roll and got rescued by Natalie's crew. She also had a free hernia surgery done from Wild Cat clinic before adoption. She wasn't given a cone of shame post surgery and it resulted in a 200 dollar vet bill. The initial stages with the dog was a nightmare, she had a lot of anxiety and was not well socialized. She was aggressive toward everybody except for us and had a lot of accidents in the house. We thought about giving up numerous times but ended up keeping her. Now she is a wonderful dog, tiny but filled with athletic potential. She would hike 30 miles with us in 50 hours no problem! Or go on a 8 mile walk in two hours. She rides nicely in the car, and is clear of genetic disease evident from a DNA test. She is now great dog. When we first got her, she had fleas on her, so I recommend giving your dog a flea bath before taking it home. The wild cat clinic offers 10 dollar health worm tests so I also recommend getting that checked out before committing to your dog. My dog was perfectly healthy, and is getting a lot healthier after it has left the shelter. The shelter staff tried as hard as they could to be helpful. They gave us a leash, two collars, and a huge bag of free food. The shelter was kind of familiar with my dog's temperament, as much as a dog filled shelter could. We would absolutely consider getting a dog from Natalie's again. Even though we had to put A LOT of work into our dog because she was a deathroll dog possibly given up due to being poorly socialized and very fearful-aggressive, we appreciate her so much more now than we would toward a dog that was nice to begin with, because of all the progress she has made. She has came a long way and it is great to see how much a difference training can make in a dog that was almost killed if it wasn't for Natalie's crew.

The staff is nice, doggos are cute. The people in the reviews below might wanna consider asking other places if they wanna re-home pets if this shelter did not respond to their needs or was full (which I am pretty sure they still are). I have not seen anything bad about their policy. You might as well consider making a page about the dog you wanna re-home or post it on Natalie's wall (if that is an option). Or you could even hit me up for support, I have helped re-home a pet before. I have donated to this shelter, because of the fact that the volunteers there are putting in the effort to try and re-home these pets.

Natalie's is a great dog shelter. They have the best policies I've seen including a mandatory 2 week Foster, so if the dog doesnt work out, no hard feelings.

I have contacted this shelter twice to help re-home dogs. The first dog was a family pet that I was being forced to surrender by my husband. The second, just recently, was a young pit. Both times Natalie said there was no room in her facility. Neither time did I ask her to house the dogs. I only asked for help in re-homing. The first time Natalie said she would post photos of the dog to help out, but never did. She also did not respond to multiple messages regarding that dog. With the pit, she said she had no room and got nasty with me when I let her know this was the second dog for which I had tried to get help through her shelter. She started tooting her horn about how wonderful she is and told me I needed to volunteer with her so I would have a better understanding of her facility. Excuse me? I am trying to re-home this dog because her previous owner was threatening to abandon or shoot her. But I'm the bad guy? No, Natalie. Just no. Volunteer, donate, advocate for ANY other shelter in this town, but not this one. Poor, poor attitude and refuses to listen to what the dog needs. One star only because the system wouldn't let me give Natalie less.
