A friendly feline destination in downtown Lafayette, with cordial staff and a bright room of crepuscular kitties. The cats are sociable but sleepy depending on the personality and the time. You pay by the hour, which goes by fast, and can take water or soda into the cat room. Excellent for kids and/or if you’re considering adoption. You can also grab some sweet nibbles. A wonderful station for cat lovers passing through town.

We really enjoyed the Lazy Cat Cafe. The work they do getting the cats adopted is amazing! Great way to support local animal rescue and relax and pet cats! A must for cat lovers!

It was cute! Cats seem well taken care of and the person at the front desk was nice! There was a guy who kept picking up the cats and playing with them against their wishes... And he was taking cats that were actively engaging with other people. I could not tell whether or not he worked there. But I think maybe some kitty safety rules should be enforced?I know that's not the lounge's fault, so I am not going to take away stars for this person's actions.

This review is for the visit and for the friendly staff and I’m going to update this review whenever I visit them again! I love how they take care, train the cats and introduce us to them! Their Facebook page also updates all the cats that are ready to adopted. In their screening process, you can mention all the preferences you have and they are going to help you adopt a cat that suits both of your interests. A lot of friends of like adopted their cats from this cafe and they highly suggest it, I hope one day I get a cat too!

Fun idea, only downside is the absolutely overwhelming smell of ammonia (cat pee).Loved playing with the kitties, space was relatively clean, but the smell was intense. My eyes were burning, and I did not even finish my whole hour of time there. I did get lots of cute pics though. Good luck removing the kitties.

I made a reservation while my son and I were in town. There was a group of 6 that walked in right before us. And then during our time, another 6 people came in. That was 14 people at once in the room. It was quite packed and the cats were not receptive. We didn't want to stress the cats out and try to force interaction when it was not wanted and the amount of people made it pretty hard to have interactions with the cats. I figured there was a smaller limit to how many people would be allowed in at once since they requested reservations. Our visit was 4/26 at 6 pm.

Great little place to spend time with cats. I love that it serves as a rescue to help the cats socialize with each other and people so they can be adoption ready. The cost isn't high, however it would be cool to offer a monthly fee maybe instead for people who'd like to come by a lot more often.

A great spot to relax with cats. It is more of a cat playground than a cafe, but you can order basic coffee and snacks. The cats are well socialized, have a clean environment, and are fun to play with. Definitely recommend if you just need some cat time.

We were away from home as well as our cats for almost a week when we walked by this cat cafe.OF COURSE we had to go in and see the kitties. There was a great collection of things for cats to play with, sleep on, or watch. I feel like this is the ultimate place to be for a cat that is hoping to be adopted out to their forever home. After 30-40mins of love we had to head on our way but our time was well spent. The staff was great and friendly too 😁.Would definitely go back fairly often if I lived nearby!

It's okay, It could use more comfy seats in my opinion. The cats are cute but are clearly annoyed by all the humans. The staff is nice. The ambient music was nice and quiet, but in my opinion could use more speakers around the room to improve the experience. Overall it's Alright, if you love kitties then you'll like it here.

My friends and I went, and we loved it. It's $9 per adult, $6 per student, and a little less for kids (I dont remember how much though). The cats were very sweet. Would definitely recommend if you need to relieve some stress.

Very friendly staff! Goodies are available for purchase. It’s nice to be able to have a beverage and a snack while hanging out with the kitties. The kitties seem to be very well taken care of.

Awesome concept. The entry fee is 7$ and you can play with the cats and kittens. The place is nice and clean with furniture and decor for cats to play.

As cat cafes go, this one was just OKNo good coffee drinks, just catsWhich is cool. Litter boxes should be away from people, and the cats should have a place to escape to if they get tired of humans. The cat cafe in Seatlle has those features. But The Lazy Cat does provide plenty of nirvana for cat lovers

I went to the Lazy Cat Lounge today to pick up my new baby Cosco! The lounge was kept very clean and was very inviting! I can't think of anything better than the combination of a bunch of cats and coffee. I will definately have to stop in during business hours with friends soon. I would highly reccomend stopping by to support the rescue animals!

Most of the cats were keeping to themselves. There was one juvenile cat that was interested in toys most of the hour. Maybe coming earlier in the day would have worked out better.

Overcrowded and not enough places to sit. The cats were fun, but the owner was rather rude.

We had a great time here! The staff were super nice and helpful. The lounge itself is well laid out, with places for both humans and kitties to relax. We went when the lounge opened for the day at 1, and the cats were very active. There are a wide variety of toys and platforms to engage the cats with. Some of the cats did seem to start to settle down after about an hour, so if you are trying to get cuddle time, you might try later hours. The lounge snack prices were reasonable (think gas station prices), and they also had books available while you are at the lounge.

They had a variety of pretty kitties of all colors and ages. It was fun to watch them play and pet them. Plus they had a crazy cat hammock thing on the wall.

Big fan. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about how to manage the number of cats. The location does require reservations, but it's very necessary given the small area they work with. I would definitely recommend this to any cat lover visiting or living in the area.

Went here with some of my friends and had a blast. I believe it was about $9 to spend an hour in what I can only describe as a "cat person's version of heaven." The cats are all pretty friendly and they are all adorable. I especially liked one named Chris, I hope he gets adopted soon.

Clean, well organized area. The cats are all adoptable and the owners make sure the cats are happy with the level of attention they get at a cat cafe. Comfortable seating for the humans and I loved the amount of toys and vertical spaces for the cats to explore. Pretty busy but I went on a Saturday afternoon. I also appreciated the front desk worker knew all of the cats and their personalities.

The cats are all pretty cool and used to being petted. Very friendly staff. But it was fairly dusty and very hairy. I know that nobody wants to bathe a cat too often, but these cuddle bugs are due! I'd also recommend having info on each cat displayed. I don't know any of their names after petting them for an hour because an adoption was taking place during our visit and I did not want to interrupt to ask questions. Overall glad that I went.

I really like being able to make a reservation and pay ahead online, so I can plan my day accordingly. You can also just drop in. The owner is very sweet and knowledgeable about the cats. It is surprisingly clean for the number of cats that run around in there. My son loves to come here and play with the kitties. We recently adopted our kitty from here. This is a wonderful place!
