This place is absolutely horrible. I cannot understand, short of an earthquake or a luted riot, how any store could allow itself to get in this disgusting of a condition. And the service was just as bad.

I'm only giving 3 stars because I feel bad, otherwise it would be less. I almost took pictures last time because it was that bad! It's B.A.D. The floors look like they've never been cleaned. The aisles are full of things just thrown down. All Dollar Generals are cluttered with boxes, etc, but this is not THAT! It's dirty. Nobody picks anything up. I feel bad for management because it seems maybe they just don't know where to begin. I will say the last time I was in there, a really nice new employee helped me find earbuds.

Unfortunately, NEARLY everytime I go to that location on Elmwood, it's closed. Very frustrating because it's in a convenient location for me to get to anytime I need to go. But everytime it's closed it's always for some different reason...stocking, system down, nobody to work, you name it.

Under new management or something... Drastic changes I have noticed lately for the better.. much friendlier staff, cleaner store, less wait times at register, and everyone seems more involved with customer satisfaction... Way to go!!! Much needed improvements to a store i frequent quite often whatever has changed KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

Their shelves are bare most of the time. I can't believe that there is nothing on the shelves and always empty. When i always see a truck come and unload what they are supposed to have. And the cashiers are so slow and want to talk to their friends when there's a line all the way back. Just can't believe how bad this store is. So I go to another one where it's stocked and i can get what I need. Thumbs down for this store.👎👎👎

On my way home after working a long, hard day, on my anniversary with nothing to give my wife. Thank God their was a DG on the way home. They had everything needed to show her that you haven't forgotten the most important day of your lives. A++ score for convenience. Had larger grocery than other stores, I thought. All in all a good, smooth shopping experience. If ever in neighborhood again in need, will gladly shop here again. Very helpful, friendly staff.

Poor rating for cleanliness. Looks like the floors haven't been mopped for years. Yuck!!! I figured that would be a task done ever day or at least ever week. Overall a good stock of groceries, cleaning supplies, medicine, and other various items seemingly fairly priced.

Store is BARE. Where is everything?!?! Is the store closing? Going out of business? Relocating? Shelves should be stocked adequately/ full. Only 1 employee working. Store was never really that good to begin with but really gone down- hill now. I am only referring to the location on Elmwood Ave in Lafayette, IN. Not all locations

First, let me say, I worked at a Dollar General for over 2 years. That being said; this is, hands down, one of the worst Dollar Generals I have ever had the displeasure of visiting (That's saying a lot). The staff is BEYOND rude, the manager doesn't care enough about their store to help out when the line gets very, very long, despite there being more- than- enough registers. They are typically under- staffed. The condition of the store is atrocious, with stock littering the isles... The stock is NEVER rotated on the shelves, and most of the items are unorganized, anyway. They never have their endcaps updated on time, and basic cleaning of the store is obviously only done once a year, at best... Needless to say, I won't be returning...

All good till check out.. The Man was frustrated about lunch fill in and even knocked over My Dawn dish liquid and it opened and spilled Abit But he just packed it in like nothing happened(but cleaned up where it spilled on his turntable). This store's employees get frustrated easy at break times.

This store is horrible! How is it not closed down?! The shelves are always bare. Products are in boxes on the floor. Today was the last straw.. I won't go back to that store. It's 6:30pm on Tuesday & there's a written note on the door that on 3/9, 3/10 & 3/12 they're closing at 5. All the lights are on but the doors are locked. SO frustrating! Just wanted cat food. Not worth it.

I’ll never return to this dollar general again. The cashier who is black (not a race thing just describing her) and talked with a lot of disrespect was rude to us and people before us about a cart that was on sale for amazing deals. The people before us were getting argued with about the deal being wrong even after it rang up and was marked on a sign. Then when we get up there she wouldn’t hit the total button and argued with us before we could say out argument. She wouldn’t let the sale go through I’m pretty sure she just wanted to keep the items for herself which wasn’t even the worst part. It was the disrespect she had about the sale. Then lied right to our face about it. When the other people have the receipt of the same items we tried getting for a quarter. They were nice enough to let me snag a pic of their receipt as proof. This lady is completely disrespectful. Around 8:40-9am on Friday Jan 19th.

This place looks like it's going out of business. Extremely low upkeep. Shelves are nearly empty and product tossed wherever it falls. They were out of stock of something as basic as diaper rash cream. I used to be a loyal customer but I'm never coming back!

Terrible treatment of customers. I witnessed the check out get into a confrontation with a customer who simply asked if they could open another register since there were two employees there and the line was super long. The employee continued to rant on even after the customer walked out.

They need too clean this place up looks like a junky storage unit on the inside, stuff is never in the right spot, and the got a lot of stock on the floors, always for over 2 years. Assistant management own up to District managers need too get it together or find new employment, place is a pig stive!

The place looked ran down aZazand abandoned. Bare shelves with product sitting around everywhere. The can't keep enough employees to keep the shelves stocked and also have a cashier working at the checkout at the same time!

Flora, in dollar general sucks hands down . If need at&t phone cards don't sell them. Normally don't have what you need it's a disappointment. For stop yes.

I was here today (3/15/2018). I won't return to this store anymore because they were so unorganized and trashy this morning. They've always been unorganized, but today was the WORST I've ever seen their store. It looks dirty as ever, like the store hasn't ever been cleaned !!! And the employees that I saw were very rude.

Large dollar general, with very helpful and professional employees. It's inventory time so I was not able to purchase my entire list, but very satisfied with the helpfulness of the employee who tried to find items.

An elderly friend of mine who has difficulty walking was treated very rudely when asked for a shopping cart, the store clerk told her that she would have to go find one outside if she wanted to shop. There was not one cart in the store or outside!

The rigester just threw my stuff in a bag and did not Care for the costumersvand was talking to someone on her cell phone and told me that I only had to Ring the bell once and I did and no one was coming to check my stuff out so I rang it again and she copy an attitude with it

This store is very dirty and beyond unorganized. Not shoppable at all. Needs new management and a total overhaul. Go there because it's close but will go to another location before I will go back. Corporate big wigs must not make store visits.

Door says they are only open from 10am-4pm. My son and I tried to get in and all doors are locked and no one can be seen in the store! 😡
