The West Lafayette store has great customer service. Ace Hardware is always a neat store to just walk around in. I always find something I need even if I didn’t know I needed it. lol. Also, they carry lots of repair parts that the big box stores don’t. I’m pretty sure they can order it if they don’t have it.Also, did I mention the excellent customer service?

Most helpful people ever, always greet you right away and walk you straight to what you need. Reasonable prices, I have never been disappointed. The only downside is very rarely they don't have what you need but they'll even tell you where to go.

I come here frequently for their selection of nuts and bolts. I estimate that my car is held together my 30% Ace Hardware stuff by now and growing.They really do live up to their "Helpful hardware folks" saying, as it is never a problem finding someone to help you.

Why is Ace such a terrific store?? I went there today needing a tiny shaft clip thingy to repair a bathroom exhaust fan. I didn't even know its name. I was greeted as usual and showed the damaged clip to the staff member. He took it, walked to the Aisle Of Many Fasteners, went straight to the box of shaft clips, reached into the correct subdivision of the box and produced a perfect match, as you can see in the photo. Sixty seconds after walking in, I had the strange little part I needed. I heaped compliments on him, and he shrugged it off. Great service. And my fan now works perfectly. Awesome.

Well-staffed and extremely helpful. I was just visiting from out of town and this store was closest to where I was staying. The Ace Hardware in my hometown is poorly run and understaffed, so that’s what I was expecting. So refreshing to experience what home improvement stores used to be like. Even though this store is “small”, they have an enormous variety of items and appear to keep it well stocked. Prices were in line with competitors’ offerings. I highly recommend this alternative to the big-box chain stores that lack strong customer service and knowledgeable staff.

Ace is my quick place to find just what I need. House fixes, bird seed, keys made and special holiday gift surprises. Friendly staff that guide you right to what you need. Plants and flowers for my yard at fair prices. Glad they are not far away from my neighborhood.

Always great service and a great selection. The only reason they loose a star is the lack of pricing on items. I had to as for a price on 3 separate products. It's not a big gripe. Just worthy of losing the star. I'll still happily continue to be a patron of this lovely establishment. It's where I get all my smoking and grilling supplies.

Really great service. Employees helped me find each item and offered several times to load heavy items into my vehicle. They even offered alternatives and tips on items that may fit my needs best. I was able to purchase sandbags for the winter weather, and a bar of shampoo with natural ingredients (which very few vendors in this area carry) among other items.

If you want a 'small-town' friendly customer-service experience in a hardware store, need commonly-found hardware/tools, and live in West Lafayette, I highly recommend you go to the Ace Hardware for your hardware needs.The size of the store gives it a 'cozy' feeling and does not tire you out at just the thought of having to walk through a football-sized area just to buy a bolt that is usually only sold in hardware stores.The staff is always helpful and cordial. And, with their assistance in addition to the size of the store, you can be in and out of the store with what you need in the fraction of the time compared to big-box retailers.

This is not a rating for the store, but rather their knife sharpening service. We brought in 8 knives to be sharpened. Most of the knives were sharpened well enough, although the job appeared to be a bit rough and sloppy. Our two serrated knives however were practically ruined- one being a $50 Wusthof knife! Just by looking at it you can tell they either didn't have the proper equipment, or they simply didn't know what they were doing. I would have rather had them returned unsharpened and been told they were unable to provide the requested service instead of ruining them! Definitely won't be going back to have our knives sharpened here again and would strongly recommend anyone else to look elsewhere as well!

This place always has the friendliest and most helpful staff! ACE is the place... They have a great selection of hardware 🔩 and still sale bilk items like screening , tubing and many others by the foot.If you join the ACE Rewards club (free) they run some pretty killer deals too.

Went here to get a key made after Lowes and Home Depot in Lafayette showed they have NO IDEA how to do their jobs or care about customer service.I've come back to this location multiple times after that and they ALWAYS know what they are talking about and are willing to help you get the job done right the FIRST time!WANT SOMETHING DONE RIGHT? NEED HELP? WANT EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE? THEN GO HERE AND NOT LOWES OR HOME DEPOT!

The staff are always very quick to help when needed. Especially when you need a small or specific number of specific nuts, bolts or screws. While the prices may not be the cheapest, their service makes up for the higher price.

I went in there to get seals for my water pump for washing machine. The more experienced employee refused to help me. The younger guy sold me the wrong seals. I called about a shower arm for my mobile home. I got some kid that didn't know what he was doing a kept asking me to repeat what I was saying. This store has steadily gone down hill with customer service. Nobody greats me when I come in. Nobody asks if I need help. When I do get someone to helps its someone that doesn't know what they're doing.

Employees are extremely attentive and always know where to find what I need, even when I'm not sure what I 'm looking for. Prices may be higher than a big box store, but Ace is way closer to me so it's worth it. Saw a sweet cashier get chewed out by an awful customer who made a mistake and blamed the employee - the employee handled it as professionally as impossible despite the customer's immature tempter tantrum. Nice people.

Customer Service in this store is the best! Not only do they greet at the door, they walk to the department you need. They will help with finding the right thing. The store is clean and well organized. I will definitely be returning to this store for my next project.
