Finally, after wanting to try them out for months and months, we stopped in for dinner. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and asked if we wanted to sit in the bar or family area. (We chose the bar side) Our server (I'm so sorry I forgot her name) came and got our drink order. She quickly brought back my husbands beer and my blackberry margarita (it was soooooo good!!) He ordered the steak fry burrito, and I got the chicken waffle. Everything came out hot and fresh. It was absolutely phenomenal. I can't believe I slept on this place for so long. We will definitely be regularly visiting to try everything on the menu. We decided to take home a piece of the "shareable" chocolate cake. It is literally a 3 layer slab of cake (see photo) 🍰😍

Our first time & hopefully NOT our last visit. Our friends invited to I-109, & my wife & I were treated nicely, the server was new, but made all the orders to come within reasonable time. We were two couples & we had a great time enjoying the food & ambience. The carrot cake slice was enormous & the best we ever tasted. Turkey club & tenderloins were great selections.

Emporium 109 is a unique place in the small town of Ladoga, which is located about 10 miles south of Crawfordsville. Currently, Emporium 109 is part restaurant part ice cream parlor/unique furniture and other household furnishings. The restaurant side has pride in unusual cocktails in a well stocked bar and a nice well rounded menu. The menu is best described as American with some Mexican leaning. We were at Emporium 109 in the middle of a weekday afternoon and found a few customers eating at the tables and we were greeted by our server who was knowledgeable and took time with us. We found that the building was formerly a butcher shop/grocery store that they had retained much of the store including the ceiling in their new remodeling and decorating. We ordered off the menu with getting one of the specials of the day, a taco salad and a sweet and spicy burger. The taco salad the right size with fresh chips, crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, cheese, meat sauce, mashed black beans and a mild sauce on top. It was the best that we have had in a long time. The sweet and spicy burger was excellent made will a course ground mixture of brisket, rib and chuck beef grilled to my liking rare, the sweet came from a raspberry and cream cheese spread on top of the burger, the spice came from jalapeno peppers on a brioche bun. The burger was large and thick that filled the bun perfectly and had good flavor. The burger was served with homemade crispy chips that had a unique seasoning on them. They have a dinner menu that looks interesting and flavorful. They have specials for the lunch time as well as evening meals. They have entertainment on weekends and are usually at standing room capacity. It was a great experience, and we will be back for this gem in rural Indiana.

A hidden gem in the countryside of Indiana. Not your typical small town bar. The food? Some of the best, if not the best I’ve had for a restaurant/ bar its size. They’re new and still trying to figure out the flow on busy evenings—but the staff is friendly and helpful if you’re willing to wait a few extra minutes. My recommendation? The chicken & waffles with regular syrup or the Addy melt.

Had dinner here with friends. Each of us had a different order and each was very good. Price was very reasonable and quantity was more than enough. Service was also excellent. Will return again the next time we are in the area.Parking: Parking was curbside at the front door. Very convenient.

The burgers are absolutely amazing, they aren't greasy or overcooked, they actually taste good. The service and decorations are superb and they keep getting more stuff. Don't recommend on a busy night though, service is really slow. Easily the best restaurant in ladoga.Parking: Small gravel lot and around ten street parking spots. Never hard to find a spot unless it's a busy night.

My recent trip 3 weeks ago honestly isn't what I expect from a place we have visited at least a dozen times. The bartender was rude when I went to place a to go order and a drink while I waited. She told me off if I wasn't with the party to go to the other side. Went through two waitresses to finally place the order I wanted because they were busy and stretched thin. 30 minutes later, I finally got my order, which was missing part of what I ordered for my wife's sandwich. Wasn't fighting to go back and fix. And please change the fryer oil and go back to the old fries. They were better. I know how great this place is and can be great. Small things just need fixed so these things don't happen.

The reviews are true. Nice variety on the menu, everything was good, quesadillas, pork, tots, drinks all good. Absolutely great for a small town. We came to see the band and also enjoyed that.Slightly understaffed that night, but we have come to expect that at times. We also had cheesecake for dessert, plenty to share among the 5 of us.We will be back for sure.

Stopped in to give this place a try on a Wednesday for lunch. Service was good. Food was good. Decorations/ambiance were good. They even have some shirts and mugs with hilarious phrases on them for sale in a small corner window. We’re planning to go back and try more food on the menu. It was clean and the music wasn’t as loud as many places I’ve been to, which allowed me to carry on a conversation with my bride…it’s the little things.

We had reservations and we were seated quickly. Our waitress approached us quickly. She was very flustered and mentioned she wasn't having a great night. I took this as an opportunity to try and make her night better. I made several attempts to lighten the mood, some attempts went over well, some fell flat. Our order came quickly and correctly. Our party of 8 all enjoyed a great tasting meal. When our server arrived to settle the bill we informed her we would like dessert. She then informed us the establishment was too short staffed to take dessert orders and that we would be better off paying our bill with her and then going to get dessert on our own. We were not very accepting of this remark and pushed back twice, insisting that dessert was offered on the menu and we would like to order dessert. She held firm and began to calculate and collect our bill. When I first arrived and learned she wasn't having a great night I had planned to leave a large tip to help her have a better night, she made it easy for me to change my mind. We may return and give Emporium 109 a second chance because the food was excellent and fairly priced. Obviously if we receive the same service it will be the last visit.

What a treat this place is! Went there for dinner last week and I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Ice cream parlor on one side with a wall between it and the restaurant/bar. It was busy and the staff was working hard. A little wait, but not bad and they let you know that you were not being forgotten. The wait was worth it, I had the Pork Ribeye and it was phenomenal! This is World Class food in a Small Town Restaurant. I travel quite a bit and eat out more often than I would like to, so I have quite a bit to compare to. Emporium 109 you have a fan and I will be back when I am in the area. Keep up the good work!

You guys!! I worked in the food and drink industry for 26 years...the service is exceptional! Cute ice cream shop with unique gift shop. The food was top notch! Everything was extraordinary. Ask for extra 109 sauce. Salads are huge. Burgers are huge. Fries are on point. Appetizer was quick, and almost too much. This guy had a million dollar idea, and you don't want to miss out. I can't gush enough how impressed I am with this small town treasure. Good work!!

So yummy!!! Best food near Crawfordsville! Cool space, it was quick service and seriously, such good food. It’s half ice cream shop, cute store / trendy restaurant. Miranda and Chastedy were excellent waitresses and fun to chat with. Make this your next date night!

This place is SUPER good and one of the better restaurants in the Crawfordsville area (top 3 for me). Unfortunately, it's popularity and interest is exceeding their operation skills. Serving and seating can be slow, but the kitchen fires on all cylinders.Go there, enjoy the food, but be sure to take your time.

My family and I went to a limited menu lunch and tried the Borderline burger and it was fantastic. The avocado, pepper jack cheese and jalapeño sauce was great together. The wedge fries are crispy and delicious. My wife loved her Cuban and my bite was hot and flavorful. Looking forward to seeing the full menu. Will be back again. Check this place out and support local business like this.

Fantastic store and restaurant! I always stop in to order ice cream on my breaks when I am in the Ladoga area working. Recently went to the restaurant portion that they opened and I was not disappointed! Great place to eat, really clean, nice decorations, friendly staff, owner is terrific, and food was wonderful! I will definitely be back!

100% recommending this place to everyone! We passed the shop going to Turkey Run and I absolutely made sure we stopped for an ice cream visit on our way home. We got the carmel fudge brownie sundae and the better black cherry shake and they were both amazing. We'll be making this a regular stop after our long hikes at Turkey Run!
