Pals for Paws is such an incredible company, the amazing workers that they have who save all these wonder sweet babies and constantly foster them in their own homes to ensure that each and every fur baby finds the best home for them. Pals for Paws helped me find my absolute best friend, because one of the workers there fosters many of the dogs until they find their forever home, I was able to discuss with her and understand best how my best friend would be in every situation. If anyone is interested in finding their best furry friend I would suggest going to pals for paws because they will ensure you find your fur baby.

I adopted Ellie through Pals for Paws last year and and I’m incredibly lucky to have found her listing, found this amazing rescue and been chosen to be her adopter. Mary contacted me soon after I filled out the adoption form and arranged for me to meet her that week.Ellie had arrived in rescue from a puppy mill so she was a little nervous at first but very healthy and had been beautifully groomed. She received all necessary initial vet care through the rescue’s vet. Ellie is the love of my life and, if you’re looking for yours, I highly recommend Pals for Paws.

Horrible experience had my sister buy a dog that she would not release vet records for only to find out he had a severe brain injury and needs to be put down. This lady knew what she was doing and now they are heartbroken and out even more money to try and rescue this baby that was left obviously untreated.

Our experience with Pals for Paws was great! The application process was easy, and we heard from Mary within days of applying. She is located an hour or so away, but she made it so easy to work out a time to meet and bring our sweet Trixie girl home with us! Trixie was heartworm positive when she was rescued by Pals, and Mary also made it possible to get the treatment done closer to home, rather than go to their vet so far away.I also want to point out that the property is very nice and well maintained, with plenty of room for the dogs to run! I've heard horror stories about some rescues and the condition of where the pets are kept.I would definitely suggest to anyone to go to Pals for Paws when looking to adopt. Thanks to them, we got so lucky and now have a pup that was 100% perfect for our family!

I would recommend Pals to anyone looking to add a new four legged member to their family. They are an all volunteer ran organization full of heart. I was scrolling FB late one night October 2020 and stopped on one of their Louisiana rescues pictures that was having trouble getting meet and greets and said what the heck. So I applied and didn’t think I’d hear back as I hadn’t from a few other rescues. 30 minutes later I was messaged saying my application looked good and when could we schedule a meeting. We scheduled the meeting convenient to my work schedule and I came to her home where the facility is located which is clean and spacious for them to roam and play. Mary Helen made the process easy for adoption and I was able to take Murphy home with me the same evening with all his paperwork. He had some adjustment and behavioral issues after adoption and Pals continued to support Murphy and I as we worked through them and found a trainer. He has turned out to be the best dog! I love this rescue so much I have done several transports to help assist in getting new dogs to their facility when I’m available. We have also fostered through Pals to help open space and they are great to make sure you have everything you need to help out! If you are looking for a great rescue on the up and up who truly is for the underdog, Pals For Paws is your place.

We adopted our Rosie from Pals for Paws in April 2020, and the process was very easy and I appreciated how they set up her spay appointment, sent us her chip, and gave us her background details. Everyone we worked with was so wonderful and you can really tell they care a lot about their animals and do everything they can to set them and their new families up for a great life together.

I recommend Pals For Paws to everyone thinking about adopting a dog! And share posts of their cute pups because they do such great work! We adopted our little girl Honey from them in Dec. 2021, and the experience was phenomenal. Mary Helen gave me everything we needed to help her settle into home and was always very responsive when I had questions after the fact. We (and the people at Pals!) will tell you about Honey’s mischievous personality, but Pals has also been there to help, like when they traded crates with me when Honey kept escaping the one we had. They even offered training. Would definitely adopt from them again!

Also look on Yelp reviews. Zero Stars! They ripped us off for our adoption fee. $400. Dog was supposed to be 15 months old, once we paid them and received the records for the "puppy" we discovered she was over 2 years old. I took the dog back within 72 hours (per contract) and they won't return our money even though they said they would. Dog was supposedly trained, house broken etc. Of which none of it was true. There were so many red flags during the visitation. This place is not saving dogs out of goodness of their heart. They are doing it for profit. Lies upon lies upon lies. Total scam! Let me add that when I returned the dog, I donated everything that I had bought for her to them. And they still ripped me off. Lesson learned. Do not become a victim of Pal for Paws. Find your new fur baby from someone else, please.

I adopted a sweet dog a few weeks ago from Pals for Paws. They said she was house trained, but she was peeing all over my house right from when we first brought her home - it turned out that was caused by several intestinal parasites including giardia, whipworm, and cryptosporidium. These can be transferrable between dogs and giardia is difficult to remove from an environment, so Mary's other dogs could very easily be infected. They really should have seen the symptoms for this - drinking a ton of water, clear and very frequent urinations, unhealthy stools, and an all over skin infection. I don't see how this could have started right when I brought her home, but wasn't happening at the kennel as Mary claimed. By default I appreciate what this organization does, but I had a negative experience with them that resulted in very expensive vet bills for testing and treatments.

This organization is the worst I've ever dealt with. The humane society is better. Mary, the woman who runs it, is extremely rude, will lie about the dogs and ignore you after she has your money. If you try to confront her about her lies she will act so immature. A 60 yr old lady we are talking about here. She won't take accountability for how she mistreats the dogs and lies so don't believe a word she says seriously. Look at her yelp reviews! They are all 1 star and say she's rude, lies, and keeps the dogs in dirty cages. She will scam you if you let her. Honestly don't just believe the good reviews on here. I believe they have a way of getting rid of the bad comments on Google because the contrast on yelp is stark. They may have done some clients well but don't trust them. Jennifer is also very rude. Basically they are hateful to put and dogs but pretend they care. They don't. They want your money.

Pals for Paws has been helping dogs in the community and around the US for over twenty years. Completely non profit, 501c(3) registered. Volunteer/foster home based. Rigorous adoption application process. All dogs fully vetted before adoption. They all LOVE dogs and do everything in their power for our pups!

We adopted our dog Olaf back in 2017 at an adoption event. Really didn't know what to expect going into it but there were several people available to answer questions and help. You could tell the animals were well cared for and loved. Mary took her time going over Olaf's informational folder ( vet records etc.) and his life up until this point instead of just rushing us through everything and sending us on our way. Once he had been home with us for a week maybe even a little sooner Mary called to check in on Olaf and see how we were all getting along. I thought that was a true testament to how much care and love she puts into the animals she rescues. I would without a doubt recommend this rescue to anyone looking to adopt and if Olaf would allow it I would adopt from here again as well.
