Very very horrible disgusting place. They have favorites, other residents jump on others , just give them a hard time and for what, just being there... no one is better then another , their all in the same place regardless of the reason. Horrible food, what little you may get, if you can even stand to eat it, especially if you have food allergies your not eating at all. I wouldn't never recommend for an animal to stay here. Not to mention the residents throws their used snotty tissues on others beds... many many other things but I'd be writing a 2000 page book.

How would someone date a homeless person here? Help the needy with a soulmate WWJD . After talking to 3 women openly at the Care store, it appears an openly honest man doesn't have a chance versus any scorned women. People holding on to the past can't see a better future

This place is an absolute joke, they treat you like a child especially if you have children. They also serve you expired food and their meals are awful and not fulfilling, you’re not allowed to have snacks for yourself or your kids and if your a mom your not allowed to smoke on the premises. They kicked me out 30 minutes after I told them I was leaving because I let one of my friends stay in my room. They make your life 100% harder and they do not help you get back on your feet. If you’re a mother who needs child care, forget it, because they will not help you! This place should be shut down and that’s exactly why I was gonna leave, until they kicked me out. They couldn’t even wait a day and a half. They are disgusting. They also have bugs. My son was getting ate up by bugs. Do not recommend at all! Especially for moms.

I was un-employed and instead of providing assistance as the program suggests, they scolded me like a school-child for not having found any employment and denied me assistance.

They make getting any kind of assistance awkward and very uncomfortable and treat everyone like they're on drugs or mentally handicapped when there are several other less organized programs that don't alienate it's potential clientele.

5 days agoNEWThe women’s shelter is ok if you’re part of their little click of people! When I came the director “Shawn” was judgemental from the minute I came in. When going thru my things Judging the belongings I had.Thru my very short stay I tried to make effort to blend but apparently when 1 doesn’t like you then the Click obeys and doesn’t care for you alsoIt can be very taxing on someone.There was no helping with the things I wanted and needed. It was more Faith based and less of daily living skills. If I would have known I would have walked right back out! I eventually got kicked out for using cbd. I had used prior to coming for my lupus. It showed up as THC. Shawn lied to my family that called who was coming to get me, that I showed Heroin in my system. I have never seen or did anything like it! Shawn and the other ladies do what they want, when they want with who they want!Shawn also had an unnatural relationship with a couple young girls that seemed quit questionable! I think Shawn brought her personal life in to much! I mean when you sleep with married men that should be left at home especially when you run a Christian womens shelter!My family lived almost 2 hrs away and I wasn’t allowed to wait on property! That’s a big risk for a women in a town that is unknown to area. I mean that house is literally in the hood of Marion. I’m so glad nothing happened to me while I waited in an adjacent empty lot for my ride!If you really need a place to stay out of prison It’s ok but if you need helping with other stuff I wouldn’t suggest it!I tried calling people higher up but no response. I expected that but wanted to give this company a chance.

Lame Cookout they treat everyone differently which shouldn't be allowed, A lady with 3 or 4 kids got about 3 bags of food then the kids got some afterwards.But then when I try to get for my boyfriend they wouldn't let me and they let a guy get two as well while my boyfriend had to go up to wait for his.Terrible and should be looked into

I stayed in 2008. It seemed ok . Then in 2012. I was bullied and felt sacred by a few of my fellow residents they limited access to medication now I take various medications. I would be considered about getting medicine at night since unless it has changed access is only 730 am to 4 pm. I got diabetes high blood pressure and COPD asthma. I can't walk around all day or half a day with pills in my pocket I was told to carry pills by one of staff in 2012 so I had access to the medical I needed . Other than access to proper daily medical needs the place is great and very helpful mentors

Absolutely would not recommend staying here. I stayed for 2 months and seen them kick out elderly and disabled men for no reason. All they care about is who they work in thier warehouse and kitchen. They prefer thier residents to work for them rather then get a job to save money and it is beyond strict. To those in need definatly try the CAM center or another surrounding county shelter.

This place is ran like a cult. It treats every single person that lives here like they're a criminal or a toddler. They claim the right to take any personal item, including your cell phone!, for 24 hours as a "consequence" for missing things like Morning Prayer or Community Meetings. They expect you to be at work or at their compound, NO WHERE ELSE. So, you don't have time to work a full time job and go sign up for assistance anywhere, because THEY want you there, under there scrutiny constantly, until AFTER all those places are closed for the day! You have chores and a number of "maintenance" hours you must perform each week (which I have no problem with), BUT the chores don't count toward your maintenance hours, no matter how long they take, or if you're doing a 2 person chore by yourself. And if you don't make enough maintenance hours, they threaten to kick you out. They threaten that anyway, for anything. It's a hell hole. And no, I don't, nor have I ever lived there.

I've been here an the staff are caring an want the best for you there are pretty strict rules but there in place for a reason as long as you follow this rules your treated well you eat well you have to work in there wearhouse but that's not to bad an Dave that runs this place is one of the nicest Christian men I've ever meet I enjoyed my time here an I will be coming back to the facility and at some point to volunteer also
