My husband and I moved to Knox 3 years ago and shop at this store very often. It is always been our go-to place in town and the people there have been mostly helpful.... until recently. The last two times I was in there, an employee that they told me was a manager, is not helpful at all and is very rude. Actually, I feel like I am bothering him when I ask a question, even a simple question of what aisle something is located in. In the past, all the employees have been very helpful, and very friendly. This guy, Bill, needs to take a class in customer service or he needs to work where he's not dealing with the public. We spend a lot of money in that store, but I'll tell you what, we might not be shopping there anymore. In our experience in this very small town most of the people are very kind and navigating this world is stressful enough, who needs to deal with a bad attitude. I can't be the only customer that has complained of him?

It's a bit messy, but it's an old store in need of a remodel. The employees are friendly. They have a decent inventory of hardware, paint, and plumbing for their size. If you need something else, it's at least half-hour drive away.

Would give 5 stars for selection, but prices are always higher than competitors. If you can take advantage of app or in store sales its a win win. Staff is very helpful, and knowledgeable as to where things are.

The expansion is fantastic. I have always loved this store. Hometown feeling. Large store variety of products. Smith Farm Stores is the place to go. Even if you don't exactly know what you need. Their experienced staff will guide you in the right direction

TLDR: large store,helpful staff, great prices.The store has so much for anyone who wants to get any product related to doing anything with your hands and more.I went in for bots for my motorcycle and was so perplexed when I went to the isles nut,bolts and screws where located. Feeling overwhelmed with the sheer volume I was feeling anxious.I walked out of the isle and the customer service representative was willing and so nice when helping me find what I needed.Even though he didn't know what I needed or where to find it. His energy and kind Demeanor calmed me down and I left the store happy with the product I needed.

Went there because I couldn't find staples to hang plastic up. Ended up buying stocking cap, pair of really nice gloves,and a small knife sharpener (these are kinda hard to just come accross)across. So overall a good experience.

You cannot get help. When you do it's just pitiful. All way top. Can't find anything. They tell you they don't have it in stock and computer says they do...you go in and their it is...plain sight.Things are not priced properly. Be honest the owners are rude. They behalve as tho their doing you a favor by being in buisness. Arrogant almost. Someone had mispriced an entire pallet of a product and when I went purchase it, rang up a lot more. Store owner came looked refused sale it for that price. I really feel like the owners managers need take some customer service classes and learn how value customers.I ordered for my husband a product around 20 bucks. He went pick up came home with a 200 piece of equipment that a worker insisted was his and actually put in his truck. He took it back same day after he did what he needed to. Not one person thanked him. They acted like no big deal.We would like shop here more but sadly it's a hot mess.

Part still not in but super great customer attention. Latterly was there 5 min 3 workers asked me if I needed anything and when I said I called.. the guy on the phone was there in like 30 seconds. Kinda amazing, really

Found exactly what I needed. However you had to pay for everything separately. For example a pipe bender without the pipe, bucket without the lid. Racked up a bill building things that just made sense would go together.

This place is the epitome of small town, profilers 'R' Us. I had one of the worst experiences of my life in this God forsaken store. I was followed, and harassed. They tried very hard to intimidate me and my good friend [ who's name ill leave out for privacies sake. ] to no avail. The were very blatant about the way they were treating us, as if we were less then Human. Scum, thiefs ( I have never been in trouble for stealing or shoplifting from friends, or merchants alike ) as if id been caught red handed stealing in this store which obviously that's not the case at all. By the time I left I was into it with the manager of the store who doubled down on his employees despicable and intolerable actions to his paying customers. I mean Jeez what ever happened to the customer is always right? Now its meh they look like thiefs, bag and tag um. Lol do not go to this store if you don't like the idea of a possible random search and shake down during your shopping visit.

They need labels on their shelves. 3 out of the 4 products had no price. I had to find someone who in return had to send someone else over. Then I had to wait awhile why they ran to the register to scan it. No hand held price scanners?? I suggest the manager have someone put price labels on the shelf under the products. Very disorganized!

I have been to Smith's for odds and ends several times, as I shop local . Every trip I was greeted at some point from an employee asking if I needed assistance. There was once visit where as usual I was cutting it close to closing time and rather than be rude or upset like some folk get, they kindly reminded me it was closing time soon, and were very patient and friendly. I have yet to meet and see anyone try to hassle or pressure a sale or rush me through. I had two employees on another visit look individually through mower blades with me, we literally searched every one . I went with the first option.( of course right ) good cashiers. So that is why I give it 5 stars.

You can pretty much find what you're looking for. Friendly service. A bit pricey but it's a small townHmm how is it a deal of the day if product is marked that price. Worker had to holler it through the store like he was getting ripped off. If a toolbelt is marked $26 n rings up $50 the price is as marked. No deal of the day.

Smith Farm Store in Knox, has expanded! It's beautiful inside and VERY clean. The place is quite organized! Just ask a sales person and they are very available and informed! 5 STARS!!

I shop here when I need things and don't want to travel far. It is an ace hardware store. The shelving is not completely accurate many items are misplaced or are not priced at all. The employees are not very helpful as they do not know the products they sell. Usually Ace is the helpful place, but not here. Some items are priced way more than other ace hardware stores. The tool displays looked cluttered and unorganized. It seems they only care about certain products in that they have them nicely stacked and visible with accurate pricing. The pet supplies such as food and medicines are close to expiring. Watch out for dust and check the dates on perishable items. If they had people working there that enjoyed helping customers and a well organized store I would give one more star.

They have a little bit of everything and you don't have to drive 30 miles to find it. Employees are very friendly and helpful. If you need help figuring something out, they'll be glad to help you figure it out.

Always leave empty handed for basic hardware items. A 10 minute drive turns into a 30 minute drive from there back out to Plymouth. Cluttered aisles, shelves unorganized. I saw the manager and/or owner kick aside some 4" PVC pipe in the middle of the aisle instead of picking it up so someone wouldn't trip on it. No mask. If the manager or owner doesn't care why would the employees. I know first hand the stores in Plymouth and Rochester are clean and organized with helpful people. Not sure why the Knox store is so defunct. Save some time and frustration. Go out to Plymouth or Rochester Smith's. Worth the extra time.

Nice clean store,however I walked around looking for items and not one of the 8 people I passed asked if they could help me.I did finally walked up to a young female emoloyee who was a big help.A little more customer service is needed.

Stop by to get a Subway turkey, bacon avocado wrap which was delicious. The young short woman that served me seemed as though she didn't want to be there. She was abrupt in making sandwiches inching her way into rudeness. However, I was hungry and didn't want to add to whatever frustration she was already dancing with. The sandwich was good. Her attitude not so much.
