I went here a few times last year and it was great but it seems something has changed over the winter my fries were cold the 3 piece chicken strips were micro in size compared to last year and my vanilla milkshake had some sorta brown liquid in the cup and on the lid and a hair on my straw very dissatisfied as it was great last year idk if i would want to come back here for a while

We've been coming here occasionally for years on our way through Kentland. Always thought it was great. This time the food and drinks were awful. The chocolate shakes were warmish liquid, like chocolate milk, and tasted artificial. The onion rings were ice-cold and the mushrooms were grease-logged, as if dunked in "too-cool" oil. Both had been sitting too long as well. The sandwiches were OK. What happened here?

Normally I make jokes about the places I review but in all honesty this place is really great it has amazing food and a great all around aesthetic to the place the style of the drive in is also very beautiful the pictures that are posted to show off the place dont do it justice so I took my own please take a look and also please come here you will be doing yourself an injustice if you don't

It's a car hop place. The food is pretty good. They are getting better, at least I had a happy carhop with a smile this time. It's definitely worth the stop 😃I've included a picture of their menu. And I believe they are closed on Wednesdays....Parking: Parking is about 20 to 30 spots.You pull into the spot you want ( if open) push the button and order and they bring everything to you at once.Kid-friendliness: Kids would love this place, it is all out doors they have picnic tables under shade trees. There's a field along side of the parking lot. I'm not sure if it's theirs or not.You can't go wrong, stopping by.

We stopped to try the food on Monday on our way south, then we were thrilled when on our way back home our route took us right past again so we stopped back. We both had the same burgers and we tried a new shake flavor. We absolutely loved the food both times, the drive in atmosphere, and the servers. Everyone was super nice and friendly, it definitely is a place we want to visit again.

Don's is an authentic drive-in, the only way to order is through the speaker outside your car window. $5 gets you a cheeseburger with fries and coleslaw. They have several clean picnic tables on the back if you don't want to eat in your car.

Sad,,,,could be a great place for car hop service with nostalgic history,,, but sadly no. This place suffers from poor management. Too many items on the menu, frozen and poor quality. Poor quality ice cream products. Portion size bad.....Why not do a few things really well?? .....I will not be stopping again. Sad.

It was my first time there and I was surprisingly disappointed. The lady on the other end of the speaker had the personality of a wet mop. And the ice cream wasn't that great. My husband had the same feeling. Would I eat there again? Probably but I know what to expect next time. Just "ok" ice cream. Maybe the food will be better.

I've loved it my whole life! Don't forget to get a peanut butter milkshake! The fried green beans were new to me, and I was happily surprised by how fresh they were! Even most national sit-down chains are breaded flavorless green sticks, but not here. I always recommend Don's to anyone in the area!

The food is pretty good. A little bit pricey. They have car-hops, the one that waited on us, it seemed like she didn't like her job. TBH I had to push the button for service 3 times, I sat there for about 7 minutes, and when they answered, they were not very friendly and neither was the car-hop. I look at it as everyone has bad days, I'll chalk that up for them. I work in the same field as them, there's no time for idc attitude's. You treat people with respect and kindness at all times, no matter your mood when you work with the public.

Great old school drive-in. Food was typical short-order fare, but done well. I had the pork tenderloin sanwich and the kids had chicken strips baskets. Everything was very good. The lettuce and tomato were very fresh and crisp and the fries were great. Also the server/hop was very pleasant and quick. Thanks and we will be back!!

We love the old fashion appeal of Don's! The prices are very reasonable. And food is typical drive in fare, but tasty! And huge portions might want to consider splitting the sandwhiches with someone! Our first visit this year the coca cola was missing syrup more clear water than Not! But my husband said root beer was tasty!

The food was overall wonderful! Had the barbecue basket. The barbecue was amazing and the fries were perfect. Then I had a butterscotch milkshake, which was watery and tasted like it was vanilla. The customer service here left much to be desired, as the person taking the order through the menu sounded impatient. The food, however, did arrive promptly.

A rare gem of the days of old. The food was outstanding and the prices were unbelievably low. Best French fries I've had in a long time. If you're traveling on IN41 you've got to stop in and grab a bite. You won't be disappointed!

My experience at Don's drive in was horrible!! They brought our order out wrong twice and then never brought us our right order. We sat there for a good 30 mins when we pushed the button again for service. No one responded. Pushed the button again for the owner Don to come on, when I apologized for the mix up, he told us to just go to McDonald's. Not once were we rude. I have went to Don's all my life and will never go there again. They have officially lived up to their name Don's Dump!!! They don't even deserve 1 star!!
