Never going back. I wish I didn't pay the bill. Brought in a cat who had urine crystals and couldn't get her in until she was basically better, a week plus. Treatment for that is easy. Still brought her as a precaution. They asked me what my budget was... and ordered a ton of UNNECESSARY tests that went right up to that budget, ultrasounds, using a needle to draw urine, blood work. Totally unnecessary when the issue had already been resolved and after having cats 10+ years as an adult. Never had a vet suggest all that. Especiallyfir a young cat. They took her from the room to give her vaccines which I thought was very unusual and made me feel uncomfortable. I wish I had left at that point. And somehow the bill still ended up at my max budget.

Fantastic store all around. They seem like they might need more staff at the moment but everywhere is short. Marla the dog trainer is fantastic and very knowledgeable. Grooming department is also great and has always made me happy and my dog comfortable. Both the grooming and vet department will do "happy visits" to make your dog comfortable. As the owner of a rescue it means the world for people to help work with my pup and give them a positive experience. I was recommended here by a girl who has a service dog. She gave me a card for Marla the dog trainer and gave the whole store a stunning review. Much happier here vs where we were going before. I'm not sure if the girl is an employee or not but I hope she gets something out of this. She has a Doberman service dog. I can't remember her name unfortunately.

If I could give 6 stars I would our beloved family member Ava had to be put to sleep and the staff here were absolutely amazing , so friendly so compassionate so caring they were great thank you Vetco for being so wonderful

Walk in for our senior Doberman to get a nail trim. His nails were long overdue for a trim as he won't allow me to touch his feet anymore. The groomers did a wonderful job keeping him calm and clipped a large & safe amount off of his nails. I'm so pleased and will return in next couple months for another nail trim and grind.

They have the worst dog trainers on earth. I wasted 6 weeks of my time with their private dog training classes. My trainer was booking training classes and answering her phone during my time. She ended the session 30 mins early one session and basically quit on the last week. Who trains a dog with a big clear bag of treats in their hands and is surprised when the dog jumps at the treats? Marla who works as a trainer does. Don't waste your time and money with them. 6 weeks and no change in my dog. If you walk in the staff will just look at you and they don't have any knowledge about the products they carry. Their groomers are terrible too!

I brought my dog in for a severe cough. This was the 4th vet I had been to so I wasn't very hopeful as I had gotten no answers from the 3 previous vets. VetCo took such great care of my dog. They actually ran the needed tests and made sure I was very well informed about all of my choices. My dog is doing better but we are not out of the woods. I'm so very grateful for VetCo.

I had issues with my Petco Vital Care points and the sales associate called the Vital care customer service after she had researched my account and discovered my points should have been loaded into my account. She stayed on the line with them until it was resolved saving me $15. It meant a lot to me!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE FOR GROOMING!!! I took my dog (10 lb shitzu/Havanese mix) to be groomed today, as we just moved to the area and looking for a new groomer. They called to let me know he was done and that he had a “little knick” (their words) on his armpit fold from the clippers. Okay, I understand little things like that happen sometimes. But they also said on the phone that “he did great, he was a good boy and sat still the whole time, and they had a hard time getting the bleeding to stop, and they felt terrible, but he’s fine.” and that’s the moment I knew in my stomach something wasn’t right.Come to find out, their groomers also aren’t licensed.I get there to pick up my dog, and this is not a “little knick” nor is it on his armpit fold!! This is a two inch long GASH on my dog’s front leg between the armpit fold and his knee bend, and it was still bleeding when I got there. This is several layers of skin deep! And they STILL tried to charge me $80!!!!Once they realized I was NOT going to pay them, and that I was furious, they THEN offered pay to have him be seen at THEIR vet, in the same building, owned by the same people.The vet suture glued his leg and wrapped his leg in a bandage. I just hope and pray it doesn’t become infected. But my poor baby is miserable, shaking, limping around, not wanting to move. He is absolutely traumatized, and he’s never acted this way after being groomed.Please DO NOT take your dog here to be groomed. It is not worth the risk of this happening to another baby!! I would give NEGATIVE stars if I could.

Our vet sent a prescription over to petco for a special type of dog food. While there, Teanna in the vet area helped us, and she was amazing! She went above and beyond to answer all our questions and to make sure we knew where to find the food and gave us a coupon! She also asked about our pup and who doesn't love showing off their dog 🤣🤣Then, when we went to check out, Corey seemed to be dealing with some not so nice customers. The line was quickly backing up, and I honestly would've stood there forever because I needed the prescription food, but Corey took it upon himself to open a second register while the other customers kept dragging things out and he got the line knocked out really fast. He was killing it!They seemed short staffed and busy, but the entire team was upbeat and willing to help. I will definitely be going back!

My wife accidentally purchased a seresto collar for dogs online for pick up whenever she meant to purchase one for cats. When realizing her mistake she brought it to the attention of the staff and asked if she could do a return and exchange it for the one she intended to get. When she asked she was met with hostility and was told that they couldn’t offer an exchange for another 24 hours. She asked if there was anything they could do and they were very rude and offered no solution aside from making her come back again tomorrow even though she was already there today. We will never shop with petco again.

The people there are always great, my dog loves going there, and they treat him so good! He is a baby with me, but he never gives them any problems trimming his nails and giving him a bath. He is a short haired mini dachshund so he don't need to have his fur trimmed, but they do a great job brushing out all the fur he sheds and he always looks great when I pick him up.

Petco Grooming dept. gets a poor grade! groomer not good, went for nail trim, looked like groomer had back problems as she couldn’t bend properly, while getting a nail trim my dog fell off the table and was hanging by the noose. groomer apparently not experienced. do not recommend. she cut dogs nails off into the quick on every foot and made them bleed. zero rating.zero rating. their customer service number goes to a foreign country and their is a language barrier. all the big time CEO’s getting paid and hiding behind their foreign 1-800 number. they cannot get a descent professional phone center in the Philippines? really? terrible unprofessional presence. an apparent CEO calls me and he sounded like he just graduated college and didn’t know how to have a real conversation with customer and sounded like a robot. in addition, self bathing station in the store is $20 now and the store has limited inventory.

I take my Rat terrier for nail clipping and he turns into a crazy attack dog. The groomer is so good and gets the job done before he gets too angry. She has unbelievable patience and know how. I go out of my way ( distance wise) to go to this Petco.

Hard sell at checkout to donate to charity... Then they hit you with wanting you to "round up" to donate to another charity. Don't appreciate being put on the spot. Nice selection of pet foods in store. Will avoid going g back though.. UPDATE: Decided to give them another try after they responded to my first review. Exact same thing happened AGAIN. Constant donation push... SMH ... :(

The store it’s self is nice. Some of the workers seem to have bad anxiety and can’t communicate properly. The guy with long hair convinced me the vital care would be a good benefit to me a my one betta fish and that I would save money. Whatever I got it, it’s 10$ a month for it. I got it was gonna cancel it anyways, at the time I was buying a tank stand it was 80$. Really didn’t save me anything. But turns out it’s a year membership and you can not cancel, but you can cancel it from renewing a year after you buy it. I dont even spend 10$ a month on my betta his 20 gallon tank is already set up. So it jus be wasting even more money with the subscription. Long story short I had to cancel my debit card in order to remove the subscription. The guy should have mentioned that it was a 12 month subscription you cannot cancel it upfront. I think it’s bs. For one single fish. I’m sure if you have multiple animals you could benefit from it; in my circumstance it was a scam.

Nice pet store with pretty much everything, but their prices are a bit high especially for dog food. They don’t really carry any of the lower end dog foods that I saw so you’re gonna pay for the premium stuff.
