Best meats anywhere.They make really great summer sausage also.If you get a deer take it there. They make the very best deer sausage I love mine with pepperjack cheese in it. Everything, and I mean everything, they make is wonderful. I live out of state now so when I'm in town I always stock up.

Love Merkley & sons!!! Their sausage links are my favorite! And the buttermilk breaded chicken breasts are excellent as well. I have never gotten anything there that has disappointed me.

My average monthly spending at this business is $250.00. Overall I have been pleased with the meat quality. I did have an issue recently with the 90/10 premium packaged hamburger. The meat was light pink with a spam like texture. I agreed to bring it in if my new 10 pound purchase is the same quality. However, it will be the last time because there is a young woman who works the counter that has been rude and smart mouthed every single time. And she does it to everyone. It really gets me angry that her poor attitude ruins people's joy. I suggest Oden Locker, they have more selection, eager and friendly service, and definitely worth the drive not to have to deal with rude smart remarks.

Absolutely the best meat market I've ever seen. I have never purchased 1 thing there that wasn't delicious and I've been around. Prices are still good in the Biden mess and their bacon is unsurpassed in flavor. Please don't change 1 thing.

We came in and were greeted very warmly by friendly, but not pushy staff who were very patient and helpful. The broad selection of beautiful meats, gourmet cheeses, and abundant seasonings are EXTREMELY fairly priced. We purchased about 80 dollars worth of meat (both fresh and frozen) with plans of grilling, and we were not disappointed with the quality of what we bought. I am not ashamed to say both the fresh pork and beef are the finest you can find in a 100 mile radius. This will be our new place to buy meat, even though it is over an hour from where we live.

I hate to be the rain on such a glowing parade of reviews but my family comes to Merkley’s often to buy meat and although the staff have always been accommodating, they have never been overly friendly. However this past Friday they took it to a whole new level. We were waited on by a young woman and her attitude was just short of giving us a big F-you. Couldn’t tell if she didn’t want to be there or if she didn’t want us to be there but either way she was downright unfriendly. Great meat. Not great customer service. I am happy to see, from the other reviews, that not everyone gets treated this way.

I live in the St. Louis area and tried some of their hotdogs while on vacation in Indiana. My family loved them! My dad’s 70th birthday is this weekend so I called them up to see about shipping some to us and John said his mom is in town but lives in St Louis and could just bring our order to us! Amazing customer service, great meat and my dad is going to really enjoy his 70th birthday bbq!

We bought a side of beef processed. It was cut and packaged exactly the way we ordered and the yield was very good, as well as the price per pound. My only regret was not getting a side of pork also while we were there. Oh well we will definitely be going back.

Merkley & Sons is one of the best meat packing company in the tri-state. All the meat is fresh at very good prices. Very good service and pretty fast to. This is a good place to get all your meat needs and then also take food stamps. I highly recommend this place on there season merkley patties, And sausage is perfect for breakfast. It's a very clean company and a very clean environment. You usually don't have to wait very long to get what you have to get very good service. I hope this place never goes out service cuz this is one of the best companies like I said in the tri-state.

I've always gotten good meat here. The workers are pretty nice too. You really gotta know what you want when you walk in. They are normally pretty busy and try to rush along to get to everyone.

The absolute BEST meat market around. We drive more than an hour to get their sausages and meat. If you don't get there early, you won't be getting it because they are packed and sell out. A+++

Besides having great meat, they also sell thick codfish fillets that grill perfectly in foil. Our favorites: weiners, pit ham, German bologna, pickle and pimento loaf, smoked pork chops. They also sell delicious breads, noodles, sauces and bones for dogs.

We had a 1/2 beef processed, once it was received the meat cuts were very disappointing to say the least. The cuts were very small and not to any standard of cut ever purchased before , Notice the T-bones poor cut and the huge bone in it.
