Mike did a great job on another car for me a few years ago.. no complaints at all. So I contacted him again to tint my new truck. he did a very rushed job on my brand new truck.. eventually offered to fix it.. then could never get him to live up to his commitments or scheduled appointments. Finally I offered to drop it off to his home, and he redid the problem areas... and they were even worse than before. Also had my center console rummaged through.. and for some reason had items missing out of my truck that I know for a fact were there when I dropped it off. Very unprofessional!!!

Hey everybody, Mike Purnell tinted my windows on a 2010 BMW 5 series. I must say that I am extremely happy with the service and product. I called him, made an appointment, took the car there the next day, and he completed the tint installation in about an hour and a half. I didn't have to wait. I pulled up and he began working immediately, taking his time to ensure quality and detail. Best thing about Mike is that he has the fairest price in town. He's the type of guy who really cares about the customer and isn't greedy with the price. If you are going to have your windows tinted, you should go to Mike at Solar Control.My car looks so much better! Thanks Mike.

I don't what all the bad reviews are about. But once again Mike tinted my new corvette along with 15 other of my cars personal and business. He did a great job no bubbles very please with his quality. Not to mention one the best prices in town you will find. Oh 3 other companies turned the work down to tint a corvette cause they said it impossible.Car looks great

Absolute terrible job. I have bubbles and scratches all over the window tint on a new vehicle and now have to pay to have this fixed. He assured me the bubbles would go away. I asked him to have this fixed and he told me to chill out. He then told me he would come fix the mess and never showed up. Completely unprofessional.Service: Vehicle window tinting

I called to get the front two windows on my Jeep Grand Cherokee tinted to match the back windows. They were able to get me in within the hour. I had my dog with me and it was finished by the time we took a quick walk around the block. The 3 or 4 small bubbles went away after a week. The new tint looked slightly darker than the factory tinted windows, but after a week in the sun, they are started to fade to match.

This guy calls himself a professional: however he is not. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE! Never mind the shitty tinting job with cut corners and inch multiple long marks that never went away. This awful human cut on my car. When doing the rear windshield; cutting the tint on the outside of the car, he cut my rear window several thousands deep and you can't get that out. There are cut marks all the way around the rear windshield. I made him take his shitty job off my car and he managed to cut on the rubber around the glass to. In a nut shell: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THEREAlso look at all the good reviews. They all happened 5 years ago. A little suspicious. Probably done by the shop

Did a rush job on my truck..The 1st time I had little particles and hair in the tint. The back window had bubbles in it and a gap where he didn't cover a spot.. The second time was worse than the 1st the passenger side has wrinkled at the top and the drivers side has a gap not covered not to mention the particles in the tint.. Contacted him to fix a third time and have not heard from him in 2 weeks.. I called from my work phone(cause he sent me to voicemail repeatedly ) and he answered but when I asked about a time to get this fixed he said he was sick and he would get back to me that was 3 weeks ago ... DO NOT USE THIS GUY, very unprofessional!! His sloppy work has noticeable spots in the tint plus a piece of tint is missing in the corner and when I called he was cocky and rude, he said he would come look at it next week, he never came so I texted him. He finally came but I wasn’t home and he said he didn’t see anything and he supposedly has 35 years experience. He will not back his work!!Service: Sun control window tinting

Stop lying and back your work!!! I hired Mike Cornell with Solar Control early October, 2018 to apply a window tint film that I had obtained as it is considered the best on the market to repel birds. He said he wouldn't have a problem with it. When he completed all four large windows at $425.00 I commented that there were numerous creases in the film on all windows and was told that in a few weeks they would stretch out and if not, he would come back out and fix them. I advised him on November 28th that they had not; he replied that it was now too cold and he would call me to schedule a follow up as soon as it was warm. I texted him in April to ask when he would be out-no reply. Asked again and got "????". Sent him his promise to come back out-no reply. Asked again-got "Did what?". Sent everything again- got "???? Don't know who this is and I am closed... good day". Asked him to go back up the text chain to review and nothing. I wish I had checked him out prior to as I have now found similar comments. This is a pattern with Mike at Solar Control so I would highly advise NOT using him for any work. I have documentation and pictures.

Made a appointment a week prior, he sent me a text confirming and the address to his home. I arrived on time this morning to the appointment. No answer at the door, ignoring the phone calls and texts, still haven’t heard back from him. Not to mention I drove 30 mins on a Saturday morning and sent him a text as I was leaving. He didn’t even have the decency to text or call and tell me he wasn’t available, it would have saved me the trip. Highly unprofessional, don’t waste your time!Service: Vehicle window tinting

I had my car tinted here and my windows wasn’t cleaned too good it’s things under the tint. On the front and rear windshield it’s corners cut where light passes through.. I’ve been cleaning tint out of my car for months!!!! The job was so rushed I wouldn’t recommendService: Vehicle window tinting

Mike has tinted over half a dozen of my cars, all high end American sports cars (Shelbys, Corvettes, SS, Camaro Z28) and my Z71 CrewCab. Always top notch, meticulous, and professional. No other person/company I would go with when it comes to tinting my cars. I'm EXTREMELY critical when it comes to my collection, thus I always demand the best...Mike is it, hands down!

A. I scheduled to have tint put on my car. I drove to the 96th st address to find out the worker is in the fishers location on the other side of town and didn't bother to tell me this information. B. We rescheduled. The tint was awful! The corners were sloppy, the edges had daylight, and 3 windows needed to be redone. C. Instead of charging me $175 he charged me $1750! D. We rescheduled to fix the transaction and the tint. The "transaction" couldn't be found so my debit card couldn't be re-credited. 2 of 3 windows still looked bad, with awful corners, and sloppy edges. I was told I would receive a check in the mail. E. To this day, over 2 weeks later, I still have no check. I had to file a dispute with my bank in order to get reimbursed. My advice don't ever go there to get your windows tinted. It was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had
