We don’t come often but every-time we do the staff is to busy to help even though the store is empty. Tonight we were waiting to get crickets and an employee was too busy on her phone to hear when I asked for help twice, then when she did acknowledge me she said be right there and continued to sit on her phone. Also the store was just straight up dirty. Trash out and about, photos below.

We don't live in the area and came to this PetCo location twice in 3 days and while we stayed on that side of town. First visit was an hour before closing with myself and two children so unfamiliar with the store I implored of the whereabouts of the items I needed and if I got a string of words as an answer instead of 1--2 and even none, it was to tell me that she didn't know if they carried this or wave her hand over the back left half on the large store to pinpoint where I should find it, if they have it. Granted, I was not happy to be there with tired kids, but it cost nothing to be kind or courteous, which is exactly how the cashier from our second trip treated us and even went above and beyond. She was just extremely helpful, super pleasant, and even engaged with our youngest who loves to check out every single dog toy more than the dog even does and even though dad was there with me this time and I had backup, how she was with our family made the visit easier and definitely enjoyable. I didn't catch her name, but she was younger (early-mid 20's?), long brunette hair pulled up, and taller (5'10-6'). This review may have lost a star due to the first visit, but it would've had 1 if it hadn't been for the second visit, I did a review here in hopes that management can easily identify the lovely employee, that's why I didn't offer details about the first cashiers physical attributes, it is not my wish to judge or shame anyone, but telling of the experience gives more context to why the young lady made such an impression. I hope she gets the kudos she definitely deserves!

I took my dog in and it was a first time for both of us.A mistake on my part prevented her from getting groomed that day but the staff was super kind and understanding of my mix up with her paperwork and offered to reschedule for me.I’m happy to know they take the wellness of the staff and dogs seriously and they don’t let anything slip through the cracks.I decided to shop with my pup and the staff on the floor was so kind and friendly and actually made my shy old gal happy. We picked up some fun treats and toys and will be back!The store was super clean and the staff was so kind!

Our groomer was Jason. He is awesome. Love him. He did exactly as I asked when grooming Baxter. I will always go wherever he is. Thank you Jason 😊

The pet groomer here did an amazing job with my shiba! We wanted help with his shedding during shedding season. It has made a big difference! She was able to dry him too which is nice cause another groomer had just given up on blow drying him. We appreciate the kind staff and efficiency of this Petco! Thank you!

My little old lady corgi had a wonderful visit to the grooming salon. The staff was very patient with her and her mobility needs and she came out looking fabulous. Highly recommended!

A great place to get all your puppies needs. We purchased collar, food dishes, toys, leash all for a good price. Very much recommend. 👏

Highly recommend going to any other pet store than this one. like even one you hate! LolIt's typically filled with teenage kids and young adults. A LOT OF ATTITUDE AND SMART MOUTHS!Hostile when you don't wanna sign up for their rewards or buy the products they suggest. Today one of them asked me for a cigarette as they were leering around my vehicle. There is clearly No Supervision here!! So things are very dirty and in disarray. Staff acts highly inappropriate every visit.Which is 3 out of 3. I'm done!Walmart is like 30 feet away...and I hate going in there! But it's not as bad as this place!

I use to love bringing my little dogs in here but today it was awful. Couldn't find anyone to help me, even though I could hear staff and I believe a couple staff members passed by me a few times. Lots of dead and dieing fish. Common gold fish over crowded and eating eachother. Small pets with salads that looked like they had been sitting all weekend. A dead gecko. The small animals smelled bad. What the heck happened?? I have spent a lot of time and money here over the years. It's my go to place. I won't be back.

Where do I even start?? This is the best Petco I have ever been to. I live in Cincinnati and come to visit friends in Indy regularly. When they set up tanks we always come to this Petco and Franklin and all the other partners are absolutely the most kind and helpful folks. Franklin went so far as to help me save SO MUCH MONEY with PetCo Vital Care. I signed up for fish and cats and have saved so much money in a month that it has paid for my membership for the year. I absolutely recommend this Petco, not just for price and selection, but for the care and consideration of the employees and management. They truly care about their customers and pets!!

Nice store to shop. Lots of variety of dog foods. Went to get stocking stuffers for the pups. Nice selection of many different foods. Good prices. Will shop here again. Also has a decent rewards program that is free to sign up for.Update 10.10.2023 the Keystone Avenue location is closing 11.11.23

I have a 75lb American Blue Fond who has been to this location 3x last year just for nail clippings. Now that there's a new manager named Jackie she's refusing to cater to my dogs needs due to my dogsbackside looking swollen. That's her natural look when she off of her cycle. So that's not going down any more than what it is. Which means my dog Skii (pronounced Sky) is no longer allowed to this location because of how she looks. I've dealt with racism before and I can handle this one too. Does anyone know where an African American Woman can take her dog just get her nails clipped.

Another great experience. We went in because we had to return/exchange a harness for our puppy. We went in, were greeted, and completed the return in less than 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and loved seeing Teddy (our puppy). We will definitely be returning, especially because they allow pitbull terriers, unlike that other pet store.

I worked for Petco once upon a time. This is not the Petco I remember. Majorly overpriced on everything I looked at, half-emptied pallets all over the main walkways of the store, the grooming department looked as though it had been deserted for years (as did an entire front corner of the store near grooming...there was a TON of clearance, everywhere, but there were bins of randomness in this corner, and the clearance prices didn't seem very clearanced...).The store was generally a mess and needs a thorough cleaning. I think there was a manager flitting around who was in no sort of uniform...she had on something that said Petco...a name tag, maybe?...and she was barking orders at the checker.Honestly, my visit was because I happened to have a bit of time and wanted to look at some items for our newly adopted dog. Won't be back soon.

Did a curbside pickup order and when we arrived we were told they were too busy to get our order so we had to go inside. Completely ridiculous & very rude. Don’t offer the service if you can’t deliver it. Nancy very clearly didn’t care and was extremely rude. Not only that she was incompetent and had to have someone else come over and get the order for us because she couldn’t figure the system out.

I accidentally left my review on the vaccination clinic at first because I'm not very smart but anyways. Amazing fish selection- i left with three different kinds of snails and I didn't even come in for fish. We were helped by Grayson and he gave us all the fish knowledge we needed and more. Also just a really nice guy. 10/10 would love to chat about fish again

It's hard to fault the staff as they were working so hard and so fast but they were left without a manager and I had to wait from 11am-1pm to check out (not an exaggeration) however, I want to reiterate the staff was very kind, working their best, and one lady (Libby) came up and solved all my problems in two minutes. If there's a fault with this store it's at a corporate level as the associates are doing all they can for what I assume is typically poor retail wages. Good people, bad upper management.

I would shop again at Petco. However, this was my first time at Petco, and I was disappointed as I had ordered two items and one was not available when I came to pick them up. So I only got half my order. The important half was missing. The lady that helped me was Cathy, and I woul give her a 10. She was extremely cooperative, listening and understanding my issue, and gave me a good explanation of what happened. This made me feel a lot better, and why I would return to Petco in the future. Congratulations and kudos to Cathy, a great employee!!!

Pretty good PetCo. The employees are nice but the store doesn't carry everything I was looking for (such as Nature's Miracle cat litter). They do have a really good selection of Natural Balance wet food for cats though. Good sale prices! I wish I could give 4.5 stars.

Nice store, friendly staff. After 2 visits they had what I was looking for in stock. The first visit there was several skids of merchandise not unpacked & put on the shelves. When I finally got my item, it was on the wrong shelf in the wrong aisle, and a clerk found it for me. Like other places they need more staff.

En route to pick up a new addition to the family and a pet carrier and litter box was urgently needed. I have to say, although the selection was top- notch, the prices were a lot higher than I expected. Dropped 100 on carrier, litter pan and cover. Appeared to be only 2 employees working in the store, but friendly enough. If you got the dough, go to Petco.

It was literally the worst experience I've had in a store in a long while. They weren't busy, bit they seemed to go out of there way to ignore me. I'm black, but the white Gentleman who was with me was served almost immediately, it was an older white woman, late 30s early 40s who did not at all seem very busy, who repeatedly ignored me. And then did not even speak to me when I approached the register with my friend. This place sucks apparently if you're black. Go elsewhere.
