I've showed up 2 different times now 10-15mins before close. And doors are locked. I only needed dog food. Even left early from work to make it in time. I will no longer shop here. N all the employees are shady and carrying firearms. Not somewhere I feel safe bringing my child. Especially hearing the way the employees talk to each other it like where in the hood. New management needed ASAP

I'm new to the area, and don't shop here too often unless I'm desperate enough for something Safeway didn't have across the street. I didn't know to only use cash at this location. I'm assuming it's notorious for having card fraud/skimming. Unfortunately, it took me a while to realize that other customers only paid in cash, and that I was gaining attention for paying with card. How this is legal, and why nothing is being done about it at this particular location, is beyond me. I guess the folks around here are just accustomed to settling for the bare minimum. It's really a shame. Luckily for me, my bank noticed the issue and fixed it right away.Anyways, I've noticed that there's no longer a "security guard/ bouncer", which is quite nice since his job was to no avail other than disgruntling other customers. I've never seen a dollar store try so hard to prevent theft for such cheap merchandise. However, the store is a hot mess, as it's been the other times I've visited. I know it's a dollar store in a rough side of town, but even those less fortunate deserve a better shopping experience than whatever's going on here.

I just moved to this neighborhood, and I really like that Family Dollar. When I went in there today, it smelled so clean, and it is definitely one of the better Family Dollars. Well organized, great employees.

Stopped by to get some groceries today...6 employees standing around at the registers and the store is a complete disaster. Several fridges were completely empty, the others were 1/2 empty and in complete disarray. The rest of the food department was the same.When I checked out, I asked for something behind the counter and the cashier accidentally gave me the wrong product, which I noticed when I got home. Called and spoke to the manager and she refused to refund or exchange, even though it'd been 15 minutes and she verified on surveillance that what I said was true and I had the receipt.Now I'm out $ and have something I can't use. Family Dollar has completely fallen apart since covid. They used to be my favorite store, now it's just a waste of time to go there.

Hard to find what you need, they have a huge stocking issue, the bigger "security" guy is so rude and nasty it's not even funny! He tried to make me leave my back pack purse behind the counter with him. It was my first time in that location and I have literally just walked in the door. Some employees are ok but the others not so much. Store is always a mess but it's been much much worse the past 6 + months

Haven't been to this location in awhile. Stopped on the way home from the hospital this morning. Excellent service, friendly staff, store VERY neat & clean. Had nearly EVERYTHING in stock. Was thrilled to see a cashier "suggestive sell". I haven't witnessed that in nearly 30 years when I had to do it as a cashier. (And, yes, I bought the item she suggested.) A HUGE difference from the location on New York & Sherman!

Not impressed! Just about every aisle has stocking carts filled with boxes! A shopper cannot even see what's on most of the shelves! The carts are too heavy to move! Totally unacceptable! I will not go back! This is the store at 16th and Emerson.

Poor staff someone please do something about this. closing an hour early,I mean I got to this store at 9:14. tell me why are you closing so soon. got the door locked, people still arriving in the parking lot.im thinking their still open. an employee standing laughing waving... HOW DISRESPECTFUL!!!

Manager is rude to people. I think she hates her job! If you ask a question she is rude in answering. A man ask where the peanuts were and she told him she wasn’t shopping for him. They really need a new manager. Then again who wants to be a manager for 9$ an hour. Guess that’s why she a rude b****... I’ve shopped here for about 15 yrs plus and I’m slowing going else where. There is nothing worth shopping here for anymore. The store is trashy!!!! If you ask me, they should just close this location. Walmart here I come!!!

I'm appalled right now! My handicapped family member was asked to park in another space. All while, another employee was being picked up from work and her ride was in handicap parking! She should've asked the other vehicle to move to, accommodate my handicapped family member. I will not suggest this store for those who maybe in wheel chairs, motorized scooters or, those with, mobility issues.

I like this family dollar because the manager always makes me feel warm and welcoming like down south! The security guard is real cool and helpful ! One the cleanest stores in Indy!!!

Awful got alot of sell items and none of it was on sell. Told them they should move the stickers or products. They got rude. There was 5 workers it shouldn't had been a problem

Very poor customer service. Also They are always closing early. Never once have they allowed anyone to go in after 9pm. I'm not understanding why the hours show open till 10pm.????!!!

Family Dollar is a very popular General Store. You can find many items that you need on a day-to-day basis cleaning clothing some furniture. They also carry many seasonal items.
