The staff at City Way Fall Creek has been an absolute blessing to me and my pets since moving to Indianapolis in 2021. Despite having two very difficult pups, they have treated us with love and the utmost care. Through treating my senior dog Peyton through laser therapy, diet issues, mobility issues, surgeries, and so much more, they were knowledgeable, helpful, and so very supportive. They never made me feel like a bother when I would ask what I’m sure felt like a million questions and when choosing treatment options, I never felt pressured to just go with the most expensive option or to do things that weren’t necessary. When we began to discuss helping him cross the rainbow bridge, they provided information, resources, and support but never pressure. When the time finally did come, Dr. Smith and “Aunt” Susan came to our home, explained the process, and let us determine the timeline, giving us all the time we wanted and needed both before and after he passed. I’m not sure I could have let anyone else take him away, but when I passed him in his blanket to Susan, I knew he was being passed to someone who also cared for and loved him. The compassion and caring that we received during that time will always stay in my heart and memory.When I adopted a new rescue pup, Max, there was no question that we would be returning to Dr. Smith and the City Way Fall Creek staff. Max has provided his own set of challenges with aggression and behavioral issues. But again, they are kind, patient, thorough, and caring in working with him and I always receive prompt and thorough follow up for any procedures or tests. Dr. Smith takes her time to make sure that my non-medical brain understands everything and clearly lays out any options, including potential costs, for moving forward.Overall, Dr. Smith and the staff have provided the best possible care to my pets. Despite there being many other options between my home on the southeast side of Indy and the clinic, it is undoubtedly worth the extra drive and time. The clinic is modern, clean, and bright and I trust Dr. Smith explicitly. I am so grateful for her, Susan, Brittany, Maria, Leslie, Amanda, and all of the staff who always have and continue to provide stellar care and service.

Dr. Smith and the staff of City Way are fantastic! We’ve been bringing our cat every 3mo for the past 2 years for cancer treatment and everyone is very caring. We worked with Amanda last visit as well and she was fantastic. So glad we found them when we did ❤️

One of our cats needed urgent medical attention and we researched every vet in Hamilton and Marion County. We called on a Saturday morning and got in 4 hours later!! All of the staff was wonderful but Brittney, the Vet Tech, was amazing. She was knowledgeable and informative and had exceptional bedside manner. After evaluating the situation, the staff put together a price quote with a complete breakdown of charges and asked us what we could afford. I was totally impressed with the service we received here. We have a total of 4 cats and will be switching to City Way for all of our future pet care needs. We really appreciate you. Thanks again!

I've been taking all my Whippets here for years. The staff, vets and techs are all wonderful, educated, and don't "dumb it down" while explaining things to me. They all know I am hyper paranoid about germ exposure with puppies and they exceed my needs. I've referred other pet owners to them and will continue to do so! I'd give them ten stars if I could!

I can't say enough great things about City Way Fall Creek and especially Frankie's favorites - Dr. Smith, Auntie Susan and Lucinda! We are constantly met with smiling faces and the upmost care for him. They explain things thoroughly, are upfront with costs and truly want the best for your pet!! Our Frankie ADORES the entire staff and his tail doesn't stop wagging the entire time he's there (and he makes himself right at home) :)

We have been so pleased and thankful for everyone at City Way Fall Creek. We had a handful of visits (ill and check ups) during the first year with our puppy, and Dr. Smith always took the time to talk to us and explain things. She is knowledgeable, and she has been very transparent with us about why to order a test/why to start a certain medication/etc. We never feel rushed, and all of our questions get answered. The facility is clean, and the front desk staff are so friendly. The techs are also great and helpful with our hyper dog. We appreciate the availability to talk to someone on the phone, not just an automated message. The location and parking is convenient for us too. Highly recommend!

We cannot say enough great things about Dr. Smith, Susan Earnest (Auntie Susan) and Leslie at the front desk. We also recently had a really great experience with new tech Wanda! We drive from Brown County, IN just for this team! They have gone above and beyond for our many pups and cats. Dr. Smith is extremely thorough and has spent hours with us coming up with plans of treatment for our four (and three) legged family members.When we knew we were going to lose one of our senior dogs, I reached out to Susan on her personal phone and Dr. Smith came in early to let our old man go. They have both not only been exemplary in their treatment of our pets but compassionate and supportive when it’s time to let them go. We’ll keep driving over an hour for this wonderful group as long as they’ll have us. We could not ask for a better team!

We've been going here for over a year and absolutely love it! I feel like the staff is always looking out for our Willow and answers any questions that we have. The receptionists are so friendly and you can tell that they really love animals. I also appreciate the mobile app they offer so that I can book appointments online. Dr. Smith and Lucinda give Willow the attention she needs to make her feel comfortable during her exams. I would definitely recommend!

We have been going to the City Way Animal Clinics for a long time (probably about 10 years). We went to Mass Ave for the longest time because it was closest but followed Dr. Smith when she went to Fall Creek. Though we love the clinic as a whole, our truest loyalty is with Dr. Smith. We have had great experiences with all of the vets but she knows us well and we've built a trusting relationship over the years.Our yorkie was diagnosed with diabetes back in August of 2020 at the age of 9. We were terrified it was a death sentence and we'd lose him within the coming months if not weeks. Here we are 4 years later and though it has been a costly and stressful journey, he is still with us. That is no doubt thanks to Dr. Smith and the trust we have in each other. Sometimes we have to find a middle ground on his treatment plans but she is always willing to hop on a call and talk it out so we are well informed and so she can fully understand our side of his situation.Though he is our biggest problem child, 4/5 of our animals all go to her (one goes to another vet at City Way) and her care and approach to treatment is always the same - flexible and considerate of the entire picture.Yes you will pay more to go to this clinic but we have put 100% of our trust in them and that is worth the slightly higher price point at the end of the day.

I’ve been bringing my English Bulldog to Dr. Smith for 3 years. Vet trust is very hard for me as I have been taken advantage of at other vets. Dr. Smith is very knowledgeable, answers all my questions and is very transparent. She always gives different options and is very skilled at educating. I would never take my dog anywhere else. She always gets the best care here! Wanda was our tech today and she was great as well!

Dr. Smith is amazing. She takes the time to listen to any needs my dog may have. We never feel rushed. Her expertise is always greatly appreciated. We have a greyhound and not many vets know the breed. Lucinda is also great. She treats our dog with all the love and makes sure we understand all the important details of our vist.

City Way has been very welcoming to us since moving to Fall Creek Place. Our dog Lil is very reactive to other animals. Leslie greeted us and led us to a room so that Lil could be away from the other animals in the clinic. Dr. Neyenhaus along with Wanda and Brittany treat us very well and respectfully. We will continue the care of our dog at this clinic.

The staff at this location were nothing but kind and patient in explaining what care was needed over two years of care for my two cats. However, there were too many recommendations that proved incorrect or additional charges to continue going to this location.Upon finding bladder stones in one of my cats, the veterinarian recommended surgery and that prescription food would not clear up her stones. The doctor only wanted what was best for my cat, but stated that this invasive surgery was the only way to do right by her. I asked the office for a copy of the bladder scans to send to Purdue (at their recommendation), but upon this request they stated the scans were accidentally deleted and I had to take her in for a repeat scan, which my cat was not a fan of. I attempted the prescription food anyways prior to surgery and it completely cleared up the stones. After that, no follow-up was scheduled by the staff or any further communications except one call asking if I had gotten the surgery somewhere else (I did not).At their annual check-up this year, I had to remind the staff that bladder stones had been found and ask about if any follow-ups were needed, at which point they recommended an additional scan and urinalysis. A dental cleaning was also recommended, and I had asked if both treatments could be combined when they were under anesthesia. The staff did not remember this was happening and I had to ask for the scans and urinalysis when I arrived for the dental cleaning. During the cleaning, a tooth was found to be needed to extracted and the staff called me stating I had to decide within 5 minutes if they could extract the tooth. Upon pick-up, I find out they had to remove a healthy tooth next to the damaged tooth in order to extract properly, and this ended up costing $2000 instead of the quoted $1000-1200. The staff was patient walking me through why the cost was so much higher than was quoted, which I really appreciated. I completely understand they were only doing what was best for my cats, but an initial quote or explanation of extraction risk prior to this would have been appreciated, as well as the need to have wet food. I was informed at pick-up they would need wet food only for the next week, which was not shared before.Overall, the staff is incredibly nice and supportive, but I'll be trying another location.

I’ve been going to City Way Fall Creek for years. They have taken care of two of my dogs. I see Dr. Smith most times but if she is not available I have no issue seeing any of the other doctors. The vet staff like Maria are always very friendly and explain any questions or concerns you have.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Our frenchie (a rescue) is normally apprehensive about visiting the vet. Dr. Smith and team have been so patient in trying different protocols and meds to ease his stress. Today (Dr. Smith with Lucinda’s assistance), I believe we finally found the best combination and he had a wonderful vet experience. The team have also been wonderful in guiding us through the ins and outs with our new terrier puppy. We really appreciate City Way - Fall Creek and recommend them to others.

I brought my cat in to see Dr. Smith and Amanda and I could not be happier with them! My girl is dealing with some nasty hotspots that we’ve been trying to heal for over a year. That didn’t stop Dr. Smith and Amanda for brainstorming and coming up with new ideas that our previous vet hasn’t tried before. They were so gentle and loving with my cat who isn’t the biggest fan of being examined. I am so happy to have found such a great clinic and great people to take care of her!

We've chosen City Way Fall Creek for our now 12 year old pittie's complex medical care for well over 5 years - maybe 8?!Frankie is a perfect brindle baby, but she is absolutely not herself when she goes to the doctor - she has always hated going to vet appointments.The entire office at City Way Fall Creek is patient, caring, and does their best to make our visits as smooth as possible for us (moms) and Frankie.We've seen several providers there, and ultimately Frankie chose Dr. Smith as her favorite. And we can see why! (she also loves Jamie, one of the techs) <3Dr. Smith is thorough, gentle, compassionate, and clearly committed to providing excellent care.She spends extra time to manage Frankie's needs compassionately. She does her due diligence to explain medical information to us and is intentional to ensure Frankie gets the best care whether in house at Fall Creek or being referred out to a specialist.Ultimately, we trust Dr. Smith emphatically with Frankie's care, and we're very grateful to the full team at Fall Creek!

I have been to several vet hospitals as my dog has several health concerns that are complex. Followed Dr Smith from Mass Ave to Fall Creek. The #1 best vet!!! The office and her staff have worked diligently with my dogs to ensure their comfort and mental anguish during procedures.I remember Dr Smith meeting me out back of Mass Ave to give my pups shots and draw blood during covid when no one was allowed back in.She and the company have cared for my 3 dogs, 2 thru their life/death, and 1 thru her leg surgeries and continuing care. The office has shared all info with me without excess treatments - always honesty. I take my pups in every month for weight checks, but honestly just to see their faces.Dr Smith has great familiarity with local resources for specialized care… one of my pups went to Purdue for illness and another to VCA fishers for cancer. While dealing with outside agencies the staff at City Way are always happy to see my pups walk in (I’m sure humans require a 2nd opinion but I haven’t felt the need)…..I enjoy going to the vet. My pups enjoy going to the vet. All the the techs are eager with the low calorie treats to establish rapport - I’m at ease when my dog’s at ease. And when your pupper has issues they are eager to help you address those issues to complete those tasks (my eldest 1 got blood draws x2 a year).With convenient locations in the metro Indy area I’ve gone to other CW clinics when urgent but all records are within the same system. And though Mass Av is slightly closer the networking that Dr Julie Smith has with other local specialty vets I followed her.Nothing negative to say about the other branches, and have used Irvington and Mass Ave for weight checks and other acute X-ray needs, but can’t praise enough the personal/pet relationship Dr Smith and the staff has built at Fall Creek Place location.
