AVOID THIS COMPANYMy dog requires prescription dog food that I dropped him off with. They gave him the wrong food and sent him home with some random persons food and bowl (he was picked up by friends who didn't know to ask). He was sick and had diarrhea 11 times in the 12 hours after he got home from the bad food. We were also charged $24 for a trim and file after being told it was $12, yet when we got him home neither had been done. I will be demanding a full refund. I warn anyone reading this to avoid at all costs.Update: my dog is now pooping blood. Barkefeller is refusing to do anything and said that "sometimes older dogs poop blood".Update 2: guy from the company replied below asking me to reach out. I did and never got a reply. Review still stands. This place is awful and if anything goes wrong they will fight you and refuse to do anything about it.

Phenomenal experience! I will always bring my girl here. They are really great with loving on our fur babies and tolerating many dogs at a time. Grace is the only name at the top of my head right now, but she is really great with my girl. The entire staff team are absolutely amazing. Clean, calm, and friendly environment always.

After a bit of research, we boarded our pet here while we went on vacation. His normal kennel was booked.I was called on the last day of my dog's stay and told he needed to be picked up immediately and could not return ever again. I was VERY confused. When I arrived I was told my dog had pushed several people down, pinned them down, and MOUNTED them!WTH? He's a 55 lb Giant Schnauzer PUPPY. He's 13 months old.My dog has NEVER been aggressive and NEVER exhibited that behavior at his other kennel, at the vet, groomer, or anywhere else. I called his normal kennel and asked if he'd ever been aggressive or exhibited that behavior and I was told no. No aggression whatsoever.I called my dog's trainer. She said my dog is NOT aggressive and that the behavior they explained had more to do with the staff than the dog.The staff there is very young. Perhaps they are inexperienced and not used to working with large breed dogs. I really started to worry after speaking with my dog's normal care team. It makes me wonder what they did to my dog. Very disappointing experience.

The biggest issue I have here is when I pick up the dogs, they drink at least 2 full bottles of water in the car before we even leave. Sometimes much more. Its not a one time thing either. Makes me wonder if they provide enough water for them while playing. They never drink that much at one time.

Left my dog over night for 2 days and this is what I’ve been dealing with since then.. and I’m upset because I’ve been with this daycare for almost a year! But I normally attend the one on cooperation drive but i decided to try this location and I regret it so much. My dog is currently on antibiotics from whatever he caught at this day care

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET HERE!!! This poor baby was left covered in feces inside a kennel that was also covered in feces and very few employees cared. If you must leave your baby with someone find a more reputable place to leave them. Don't let them be neglected the entire time they're there.

I absolutely love Barkefellers grooming spa. They did a good job grooming our two dogs Charm and Lulu. We will most definitely be back. 😊👍🏾

I was hesitant at first only bc my wife and I care for our puppy so much but the more and more our Baby Emma go's the more she has showed us how much fun she has. We love having the flexibility to do a half day full day we still are not comfortable doing a over night but honestly the staff and crew had never given us problems and know us by Emma's parents so that makes us feel so wonderful.

Was so happy with our experience. We boarded my baby there and they were very caring, watchful, and loving to her. Being able to watch her through the camera, and see her have so much fun in the daycare while we were gone made it easier to relax. 10/10 highly recommend

Grooming is great. Daycare seems okay. But overnight boarding needs attention. They didnt feed my dog until very late her first day. So hungry she threw it back up and it laid there for hours. Because video cameras are in the luxury suites, we could watch everything in her room. $$$ She cowered in the corner when they brought the hose in to fill her water. Beware of the extras, not so sure you get what you pay for. She didnt seem physically hurt but did not act well or eat for three days after picking her up.

Barkefellers Grooming is the best! Ask for Rose, she will make sure your pup is comfortable and looking their best! She dremmels his nails perfectly every time. I love that I can pick my pup up at my convenience as well.

I was so very pleased with the grooming services here. One of our Saints won't let anyone touch his feet but Alexa was able to cut and file his back feet and cut his front! Made another appointment for them. So happy!

Staff has always been very friendly when I’ve brought our dog (who is notoriously difficult to groom as he is an ultra fluffy and dramatic husky mix) to get groomed and bathed. I appreciate the staff calling me to go over finer details and offer recommendations for future care. I also appreciate how attentive they have been to how stressed out our dog can get when being groomed.

This has been my go to spot for Leo since we got him 2 years ago. There’s usually always an issue with the boarding services. Last boarding half of his items were misplaced when I picked him up and I received a credit, which was okay because it was just a bag and some bowls. However, this last mistake was huge mistake that no credit can solve. Leo has liver disease and has to eat special food and take meds. I sent him with his exact food, measurements and instructions. I picked him up today and one of his bags of food was never opened. I asked if he ate this morning they said yes, but could not confirm what he ate. After talking with staff they CANNOT and WILL NOT confirm what my dog consumed despite the instructions I sent. I even asked was it wet if dry food because that will definitely tell me what he ate and they couldn’t confirm. Manager stated that they send empty bags of food back when dogs are picked up, so when I asked where was his empty food they said they might have thrown it away. They also had somebody else’s empty dog food bag in my returned bag (see photo). Now I have to let the vet know he consumed another dogs food despite his restrictions which is another cost. In addition to that, his feet is soaked with urine and I had to take him to a pet store to bathe him myself. Mind you, I did overnight boarding with no play time to avoid adding on another bath. So how is he soaked in urine while in a standard suite by himself?? This is my last time at this location after all these years and looking past the several mistakes prior. You will no longer take my money because you do not respect me as a pet parent or customer. I am on the search for a less commercial boarding and grooming facility on the West side of Indy, if anyone would care to share.

I can't trust Barkefellers anymore. Previously, I'd taken my dog to Barkefellers a few times for group play/daycare, and that seemed to have gone fine. Everyone at Barkefellers is nice and friendly, which is also great, and the place seems clean. I wish they'd provide updates on how your dog is doing, but I can deal with that. Unfortunately, though, our last trip with Barkefellers has ruined the trust we had placed with the company. We boarded our dog for a week due to a trip to CA we had to take. Since our dog had done daycare there before, we thought this was a better option than trying somewhere new. The stay itself seemed to have gone fine, although as I said, staff doesn't provide updates, so I had to call a couple of times to check in on him. However, upon bringing him home, we noticed several cuts and scrapes all over his body that were in various stages of healing. There were several recent scratches on his belly and then we noticed scrapes that were scabbing over on his legs and one on his back. The placement of the wounds are such that they could not have been self inflicted. When I called Barkefellers to see if anyone had seen anything during group play, I was only told that no one had reported anything. I can only assume then that either (1) the staff is so overwhelmed by the number of dogs that they can't actually watch them well enough to keep one from getting injured; or (2) someone did notice and didn't report it. Neither option is good, and either way, I can't trust Barkefellers to care for my dog. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

My little Riley gets groomed here. I've never boarded but I prolly nvr will because my Riley has separation anxiety.. But they have the best groomers! At this location at least.

Do not take your pet to this place. My dog has been a nervous mess since her 17 hour stay there. She acts frightened at times when I approach her, I have to physically move her to get her to go outside to potty, and she will no longer consistently eat her meals. She only spent 17 hours there, but she reeked of urine when I picked her up. The employee who brought her to me placed a urine SOAKED shirt in our bag with her belongings and did not say one word about it. The staff is uncaring and do not make any effort to connect with you or your pet. I completed the survey sent to me after her stay and I told them about several serious issues, and NO ONE contacted me. They do not care about the pets in their care and they do not care about the pet parents. I am now taking my dog to a veterinary behaviorist to try to help her find some peace. Friends of mine witnessed at least 10 piles of feces in a suite that housed 2 dogs. You know how long it takes for 2 dogs to produce that many piles? I just read in other posts about dogs covered in feces and someone witnessing staff members striking the dogs. HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL OPERATING???

I was honestly worried with boarding My cat Elhpie and My dog Rover here as it was my first time leaving them at a pet hotel while I went on vacation. Fortunately, it was the best decision ever to leave my pets at this place. The service was amazing. Everyone was so patient and understanding not only with me as a first-time customer but with my kids as well. It’s hard to believe what these reviews are talking about, especially since my friends recommended me this place.

After boarding my dog there several times and dealing with problems every time today takes the cake. Problems like them not giving meds, not feeding appropriately, suite cleanliness and smelling of urine after pick up. When I dropped him off today the manager on duty Jenny checked us in. Was given instructions about feeding and meds. She then had my wife take our dog back. No issues at this point. I get a phone call 10 hours later and say he is not eating and his anxiety is up and we needed to come get him. Well at this point I’m in South Carolina. I took him back there because he had been there before. Even with the above issues I thought they would be able to take care of him. This place is not what it once was. There are probably better places to take your pets.

Left Luna with Barkerfeller for a week, had access to a camera to watch how she was doing. My dog is overly attached to me so she pretty much sat in a corner for a week. Staff did a great job and did their best to get her out of her shell. I give them 5 stars, Luna on the other hand would give them 0 stars is she could and wants to go on vacation with us from now on.

My wife just boarded our two dogs at another business today. We were reminiscing about our terrible experience at this establishment two years ago. I was curious to see how this establishment was fairing and searched some recent Google reviews. I see that animals are being left covered in feces and neglected, and customer concerns are met with uncaring employees. Looks like nothing has changed: Our two dogs were returned to us covered in urine and smelled terrible. Both also developed kennel coughs. I complained in person to the young man at the front desk, and the solution was to have our next stay discounted (who would bring their animals back after this?!) My wife called and left a message for the manager to call back to express her concerns personally, but she was ghosted.Bottom line: Don't leave your pets here!

Review is based off of daycare experience, only. Our dog gets SO EXCITED when it's time to head to Barkefellers. As a 6 month old puppy, he has a LOT of energy to burn off, & a couple visits a week does the trick. Within a couple visits, they know his name & everyone seems genuinely excited to see him. I consider prices to be reasonable. They have a half day (5 hour) or full day option. We created a profile online & called to schedule our first day. The first day was free.

I am always so hesitant to board my dog and am very nervous leaving her. Barkefellers makes the experience so worth it. I know my girl is safe and loved on while she is there. They have webcam access on certain suites to provide peace of mind, and nobody ever made me feel like I was too much when I would call in and check on her. They provide excellent service, including play time, helping her feel comfortable enough to eat, and cuddles before bed. Their groomer is fantastic. I normally have to wrestle a 13 pound dog as if she was a full grown man in the bath, and she was able to wash and dry her and keep her bath anxiety at bay. I could not recommend this place more.

I have been bringing my pups to this location since they opened. We regularly use daycare, boarding, and grooming services.Today was the only time we've had an issue, and it was administrative. The manager, Jenny quickly rectified the issue, provided clarification to avoid problems in the future and did it all with a smile.My Pup loves it there he is excited when he is told that he is going to "school". They treat him well and it shows. (For reference, he is a pit mix)I am so appreciative of Barkefellers and the care they provide.

99% of the posts from March 29th are about a x employees social media post. All the 5 stars are from employees and the 1 stars are from people who believe everything they see on the internet. I saw the post and was concerned since we were scheduled to take our dogs on the 31st. I commented on one of them and the owner called me the next day to address my concerns. He said we were welcome to check out the facility at any time. After our call I decided to go ahead and take my dogs. They were perfectly fine and I felt they were well taken care of. We will be using them again 4 days next week. I always prefer them to be with me, but sometimes they just can't and I trust barkefellers to take good care of them. If you're reading reviews to see if this is a safe place to take your dogs I recommend you just stop in and ask for a tour so that you can see how the place is on any random day.
