He also helped my husband and I find the perfect bird seed. We are now seeing birds we never saw before because we had the wrong seed. It's really enjoyable to watch them

This is a perfect shop for Indiana bird watcher. I found great gifts for people and will definitely be back. What was also nice was that there was other things for your backyard like wind chimes and other miscellaneous items! The best thing about this store is that there was an extremely helpful shop keeper that helped me find the perfect gift for my father!

Excellent service. The guys at Backyard are always friendly, helpful, and honest in the pricing. We've been supporting BB for several years as suppliers of bird and poultry feed. They also have cute novelties such as birdhouses, handcrafted items, and a somewhat friendly calico cat.

These people (and their cat!) are very friendly. The food is the best quality offered, feeders are top of the line and guaranteed, houses are adorable. They also sell baths, bath fountains/heaters, yard/patio decor, home decor, literature, toys, trinkets, and gifts! I drive all the way from Greenwood every time I need to grab some jugs (easy pour and storage) of food!! It's in a great area with lots of restaurants and shops too! :-)

The staff here is so wonderful. I was recommended a lovely bird book that has helped me identify many of the familiar faces at my feeders. If you need seed in bulk, they've got 40 plus pound bags. I recommend the black oil seeds if you are hoping to see cardinal couples!

Gave great advice and insights on what to purchase as a first-time birder! They recycle/reuse their seed containers, which is awesome. Down to earth and helpful, a friendly atmosphere. I'm already planning my next visit and to expand my bird feeding operation!

Such a wonderful older gentleman who was very knowledgeable! I bought a Shepard hook, hummingbird Blossom feeder, and peanut feeder and have had a tremendous amount of action with these feeders! The gentlemen spent a good 45 minutes with us and all his advice was spot on! We will definitely be repeat customers!

Arrived on a Saturday morning ready to stock up on feeders and seed. I was the only customer in the store. Was greeted by an older gentleman when he finally put down his phone. Started telling him what I was looking for. He said okay, go ahead and look around, then went back to his phone. Eventually he wandered back out onto the sales floor. I asked about hummingbird feeders. Told him I needed two good sized feeders to replace ones used last year. He proceeded to argue with me about what I needed, and how many hummingbirds were visiting my feeders. Hmmmmm ... been feeding for 20+ years. There's a pretty good chance I know what I need, and how many hummingbirds are coming to my feeders. Kept trying to change the subject hoping to save things, but it was useless. Regardless of what I said, I got an argument. I ultimately surrendered, and left empty handed. Spent my money at another store. Too bad. Nice little store. Could have been a regular customer. Opportunity missed due to extremely poor customer service. Won't be back.

Very nice staff who are all knowledge about birds and what to do to attract more to your yard.We also go for pet nail trimming and the staff love our dogs, saying specifically that they do not care for misbehaving dogs...So if your dog is not well mannered in public, then you may want to keep from places where rambunctious behavior is frowned upon. Do your job as a himan and train your dog... Seeme simple enough.

The best local shop to buy bird supplies around! You will learn about all things bird related from John and the staff! Prices are competitive but often times cheaper than other similar stores and if they don't have something you were looking for, they will research it, order it and let you know when it comes in! My GO TO!!

The staff is great & are willing to share their knowledge on feeding of wild birds. They are in Broad Ripple, which explains the cost but the quality of their inventory is very good, no like "feed store" bird foods.

I’ve bought a lot of feed here for birds and squirrels and it’s quality stuff. You can to to a less expensive store but you end up with a lot of filler and sticks.

Rude staff. Brought my dog in for a nail trim, and they were mad at him for barking and being scared. Don't offer to hold a place for nail trims if you don't even like dogs!
