Very rude man behind the counter. Heavier balding man who may be the manager. Constantly yelling at people to use the self checkout. I needed charcoal that was at the bottom of a cart. They had loaded it in foyer since school stuff was in. They had 1 bag of what I was looking for and it was covered by numerous bags. I simply asked if there was anyone to help get it and he chuckled and said no, but I could lift it all off in a sarcastic tone. He could have said,"I'm sorry, but not at this moment." Or say he was the only one in the store, but he was so rude. I have dealt with his rudeness before, but that is it. I will drive further and get what I need vs giving my business there. Sorry he hates his job so much, but find another one then.

This is a great store! With great people working for it. I wish more people would understand that being rude to the staff and giving negative reviews because the store closed early is just absurd. Now a days everyone is short staffed. So once in awhile stores may have to close early. Because they don't have any coverage or the need to give there staff a day off because of being short staffed. And if you really have a problem with it closing early be part of the solution apply or let others know to apply who may need jobs spread the word that the place needs help. Don't be the problem and degrade a place because they were forced to close early due to staffing problems. Like I said this is a great store and has great friendly people working for there. And they are already over worked and underpaid. Show them some appreciation! So please be kind and respectful!They will return the favor! Treat others as how you would want to be treated! Again the store is nice clean organized. With a great staff!

Where do I start? Hand written signs all over the registers, scattered shelves, or better yet the cashier who decided to get up this morning and wear her pajamas to work? Yes I said pajamas!I stood at the register for about 3 minutes before she decided to wait on me. No smile, no friendliness and she practically slammed my change into my hand. I feel a complaint coming.How I wish I could have gotten a photo of her in her PJs at work. Disgraceful!

Came to the store at 8:55 doors already closed. Google stats that closing is at 10pm not 9pm. Lost a sale due to doors closing too early prior to 9pm.

Shelf price is less than what most items ring up at. Asked if they could change it and the guy laughed and said no in indiana they don't honor shelf tag price changes at register. Very rude service.

Aisles are super crowded. Inventory is never put out and probably about 10 carts or more of inventory in aisles. I go to Dollar general with my small baby and 2 yr old. I can barely get through aisles with a cart. I went in about a month ago to buy diapers and there were no diapers in the size I needed. I asked when they would be getting them in and was told that they had them but didn't have time to stock them and to check back in a week. I had to go to a whole other town to buy diapers. 9 times out of 10 there is nobody at the counter because they are stocking and have to hunt someone down to check out. They need to have more employees to just stock shelves. It's ridiculous, but the only store in town.

There was really nice lady there this morning . I did not have 7 dollars I only had six dollars and she pitch in help me . I was getting healthy snacks for my daughter and nephews so I wanted to spoil and God BLESS her she was really sweet so thankyou for having nice people to work for your company .

I got a great deal on a coffee maker $5 . You can't beat that price. They sell cell phones here you should ask them to scan for the price because I've bought phones here at the display it said like $75 , but I purchased it for only $25. Like a mini Walmart.

Has everything you really need. Coupon regularly for 5 dollars off 25 dollars purchase on Saturday. Usually the help are kind and knowledgeable.

This dollar General is in a super convenient place. Its the only real store in Howe. The only reason it's 4 start is because it gets a little messy in the back of the store.

It says online they are open until 10 and I seen the lady drive away. It was only 9:45. So change the hours online or figure out why she left so early.
