COMPLIMENT> please note> I do not know anyone that works here! I have A LOT of options as to WHICH "dollar" facility to spend my $.Wish more ppl would take time to tell yall when they experience GREAT service/ experience & not always on JUST the negative. I am not overexaggerating when I say (& corporate may want to check into this as it relates to MANY MANY of ur stores in my surrounding area.) These OTHER facilities are disorganized, messy, dirty & unfriendly. The unfriendly part- to a point I can underst- due to stress bc understaffed & employees hired can be useless.YOUR WORST store is located at 760 N Wisconsin Hobart, IN 46342.ITS A TOTAL DUMP! 24/7.Again, I do not know anyone HERE either. All my friends,even the younger guys/ men, family, church goers - we all refuse to even step foot in here. In conversation it was ALWAYS SAME -They ALL agreed- a dump, trip hazard, filthy, lucky to be able get thru 70% of ANY aisles bc all blocked with inventory. It ALWAYS looked like a tornado went thru the building ( ok lil over exaggerated, but NOT by much)Approx 2- 3 yrs ago I noted some odd behavior between employee/ customer- must ve known each other that told me to never go back.***On to my list of compliments: * even entrance & glass of doors clean* I could actually walk thru EVERY single isle* shelves /end caps well stocked AND neatly * even empty /nearly empty shelves were all org & neat* staff extremely helpful & pleasant* bagging of ALL my items with care* flooring clean* check out areas well kept & not clutteredMy history, my first visit to THIS store ever was 2 weeks before Thanksgiving 2023.I was purchasing 2 sets of Thanksgiving meals to fill food baskets for local families in need. Store was extremely busy prior to, during & after I left. I told myself how nice this store was being kept- clean everywhere,stocked, organized. I got so excited to be able to walk thru every single aisle. As BUSY as the staff was...the long line of customers at check out WITH multiple registers open 😀 staff kept smiling, helping customers, others keeping things clean.WOWZA.During this visit & at check out I asked for store info & who/ where to contact to let higher ups aware of this GREAT store & why. Checking me out was the manager named Tilney. She wrote down- district 740, store # 05988. I have now had same GREAT experience at every single one of my visits - at least 5 - 6 now.PLEASE be aware of THIS TEAM u have at THIS facility! Manager/ employees take real pride working here & they show it on so many levels inside this facility. Since my multiple visits I am now telling friends family church goers etc They. ..have to shop HERE. THEY as well have to pass by other multiple " dollar" type stores. Keep up the hard work store # 05988. MY FOREVER DOLLAR STORE!!

If I could leave no stars I would. I use to like the family dollar been going there for years. They are very fast if you want a fast in and out kinda place. But today my goodness I won't ever go there again. They have this same employee in there around 3pm on the week days if your black she's rude to u. When I went in there she didn't speak I thought ok. Went in there again around the same time shocked me she spoke I spoke back. I paid for my items when it's time for my change back she throws the change in my hands. Coins were falling all on the floor she doesn't say sorry she proceeds to the next customer. i don't have a problem with any other employee just her. As long as she's there I won't be a customer.

One of the better locations. Never too busy, so good most times for quick trips. Most items easy to find, some sales items we were unable to locate. Don't know if this was due to them not receiving the item, not many or them selling out quickly. Generally a clean store. Reasonable prices.

They are very crammed inside, thus making comfortable shopping difficulties, especially for the handicap patrons.In general, since people like to go to a store where things are easier to find, and be a able to turn around without bumping into something! The prices, service, and cleanliness is excellent though. Maybe they just need to expand the store flooring area??

Very helpful staff and management.i didn't like the owners of seven elephants convenience stores coming in to buy all of their pop and fill up a cart with said pop only to refuse the order because they couldn't get a 5 dollar coupon to work.the owners of seven elephants then proceeded to leave all the pop in the cart and leave yet the employee working at family dollar still smiled and wished the jerk to have a nice night. Kudos to the patience of the FD worker/cashier

If I could give zero Stars I surely would. I started coming to this location to avoid the ignorance at the Lake Station location. Unfortunately last night my family and I were treated very rudely by the employee working at a time. I spoke up and told her she did not need to treat us this way, and she decided to argue with me rather than apologize. I do plan on calling corporate. It's absolutely unacceptable to ever treat anyone the way we were treated. I never wish for anyone to lose their job but she definitely does not deserve this job. if you can't treat someone like a decent human being you shouldn't work with people period!

I SAVE so much money here every single time I come here!! With the digital coupons and in the paper. Also you have just great pricing all away around!! The service has been as quick as possible , the clerk is usually friendly and polite.

The Manager in charge of this store treats her employees like they are stupid and doesn't give them any respect but demands respect in return...it doesn't work like that. And the company wonders why they can't keep good employees working there. The 2 managers that remain in that store are lazy and very disrespectful not only to the employees but to customers. I wanted to help make that store a better place being a Manager and was basically told yesterday that I was stupid and that I didn't do my job but I was the only one that actually cared how the store looked. Not only is the management at store level rude and disrespectful but the district Manager also doesn't care what goes on in the store. It's bad enough when customers are taking items and not paying for them but they have an employee that is doing the same thing and upper management knows about it and hasn't done anything about it. Family Dollar in Hobart is a free for all. I will never shop there again and encourage anyone that reads this to not shop there as well. Dollar General will gladly accept everyone's business.

This family dollar on route 6 in new chicago/hobart has some of the absolute rudest people working there. I witnessed a lady buy something that had broke while she was still in the store andthese ladies argued with her andrefused to refund out. I mean th hey wouldnt even exchange it for a different one. I swear...if they sold oxygen and i was out and needed more i would notgo back there to get it! At least moot in until they consider getting brew employees and management. That was seriously the rudest unfair deal ive ever seen: And that is just not the first time because they are rude every time ive been in there! I wouldn't even give 1 star but i had to

I don't know how this place has any good reviews.Very dirty and disorganized place. Definitely one of the worst Family Dollar I been to.The workers are very rude, unfriendly and are always smoking outside with no one inside to assist costumer.

Super convenient place. Right on rt 6. Almost always have what I need when I dont feel like going all the way to Walmart or the grocery store. Very friendly staff as well.

I generally like family dollar stores. This one is dirty, unorganized, alot of empty shelves. The one located in Lake Station is clean, well organized, easy flow though the store.

This place has sky high prices and how dirty it is inside 🤢 went to grab a gallon of milk that is 4.05 and the shelving has so much gunk on it there is a Dunkin’ Donuts ice coffee that is sitting on boxes that looks like it’s been there for a few days

One female with red hair working for the family Dollar on 37th & ridge road in Hobart has a NASTY ATTITUDE!!!!! ALL THE TIME. I called corporate office. They say they will return my phone call within 5 days. Have not heard from corporate🤦. I will continue to call again as soon as I finish this statement .SMH

There bag ripped an my candle broke while I was checking out asked if i could get a new one because it wasn't my fault an they said you have to buy another one there is a Dollar General right around the corner 10 out of 10 would recommend going to that one
